Hi Everyone! I was hoping to jump on board the summer 2011 board? I am not new to this site. In fact, I have a long hx of TTC. This is year six. About me in brief....I am 34, dh 36. Dx PCOS and MF. TTC#3 three years starting 2005. Ds born via 100mg clomid, hcg in 2008. Started TTC#2 3 mos after ds born....since then, I have done 6 clomid cycles, 6 injectible cyles, polypectomy, three IVF (2 BFN and 1 chemical), ovarian drilling and more fsh cycles....phew. I am considered a thin pcos'er.

DH and I were ready to give up. We had met with adoption agencies and were sure that would be the route we would take. However, financing is another issue. There is essentially no financing for adoption and the wait is so long. We have spent most of savings on fertility so saving 20-30K for adoption would take some serious time. So here I am....

DH and I met with a new IVF re yesterday and are considering two more IVF cycles. Hard to beleive there is financing for IVF but little to none for a baby with no home:( It appears my issue in my previous IVF cycles was my eggs were harvest and determined to be immature so less quality so my embies were bad.DH's sample was not so great either even though we did icsi. This new RE thinks I need more repronex and less gonal and would like to push my follicles more to get a higher e2. based on my previouse2's he would have expected more mature eggs....so I guess I need a little extra push. Since my last IVF cycles (last July) I have lost 17 pounds and completly changed my diet....DH has lost 30+ lbs and his samples have gone from 17million to 97 million. I am hoping to get lucky these next two cycles. After this we have to be done, the well is DRY! I expect to start my cycle Mid August after AF arrives. AFM~ So far so good! Looking forward to having my U/S on Tues (19th). No real prego signs except super sore boobies and I've already had to buy new bras! I've gone up a whole cup size DH is super pleased My friend also brought me over a huge supply of maternity clothes, it was so fun looking over all of them. Can't wait till I have a big'o belly.

AFM - U/S #2 was this morning!! DH was home today and was able to come with me to experience everything, which was great! We were really anxious this morning as it was the big day to see if we are having 1 or 2 babies! Looks like we have 1 little baby in there!! It was amazing to see how big our baby has gotten over 1 week and we actually saw the heart beating which was so overwhelming to see something that small have a beating heart. Hope everyone has a great weekend

Brandy- Welcome to the BFP summer board dear! You are at the right place my friend! Your BFP is on its way! I’ve never done IUI but I’ve heard several success stories from about it!!!... I‘ ve got Hypothyroidism and i am taking the magic Thryroxin pill every day. Thank God my TSH is at good level (1.45 since last month I’ve checked it) so all good from that part. Who would have thought that that little thing in the neck can cause such an abnormality? All my life I’ve been waited from 49kg-50kg (height is 1.65) so I was a bit underweight but I was really really healthy. Suddenly after my second IVF I’ve gained 9kg! And I thought it was b/c of the hormones and BCP for my therapy. I never thought that my metabolism had changed b/c of the hormones taken for the IVF therapy. Oh well, now I weight 55kg and I am trying to exercise and eat healthy so that it won’t go up. Unless of course I get my BFP this time and I gain some pounds!

Lauren- Hey you POAS addict! I wish you to get that BFP and see those 2 dark lines pretty SOON! Yay for starting stims!!

Wishingandhoping- another POAS addict on the board! Your FET is getting closer and so is your BFP dear!

AFM- IS SOOOOOO HOTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My MIL is coming at my place every day these couple of days after work around 3pm and we hit to pool together to cool off the hit! There’s been an explosion in Cyprus Electric Power station last Monday and the government is cutting down the power supply every day for a couple of hrs. We’ve been told not to use the a/c at all times until they figure out what to do. And this is happening all over the island. 13 people died at the explosion, a disaster for my Country....about my cycle, I went for my U/s yesterday and I have 8 beautiful follies size 14mm-15mm and my endo is 15. My RE is not pleased with my Prog level! Don’t know how much is it but he said it was on the border. I never had a problem with my prog and that upset him and me. He told me to go in tomorrow (Saturday 10am) for the last u/s and b/w again to check if my prog level has dropped. Please God let it dropped! If not, then I might freeze the embryos and do a FET next month after having the PGD. Or have the PGD first to get the results and then freeze the embryos (if OK) and do the FET next month. This is very frustrating for me. This is the first time I had an issue with my prog level!. About the PGD, he called the centre that makes the PGD analysis (there’s only one in the island that does that) and told them that next Thursday he will sent them my cells for testing and they told him that this is a short notice and that they are really busy! WTF! My doctor was furious with them and told them that these things you can’t tell the exact day more than a week in advance. He told them to look again if they have time open and to get back at him. He then told me that if these “assholes” this is what he called them, can’t find time then he will proceed with doing a “FISH” instead where he can check not all but the most important chromosomes of the embryo. And it’s cheaper than the CGH. Well will see about that. I really want my prog levels to be as they should be tomorrow and we proceed everything as planned. I don’t want to wait another month for this! I am ready for it now! My DH was pissed off for this and so do I. But some things are unavoidable, and out of our hands, I know. I just need to be patience. It wasn’t enough the agony of that PGD test, now we have the prog levels and the lab that performs the PGD to think about!. Please God let it be all good! The only sure thing about the whole thing is that my ER is happening Monday morning! And I cannot wait for that to happen!. We are invited to a friend’s house tonight for dinner and we are spending our weekend splashing in the pool and get ready mentally for Monday’s ER! Have a nice day girls and a wonderful weekend to you all!! Gotta go cool off in the pool’s bottom! and then get ready to go to our friends house for dinner...no time for smilies and blinkies...

Anton - just want to jump in and say good luck. hope your progesterone levels will be within spec. I know this has been a very long road for you. its time for a very sticky BFP. are you doing CGH.. If it does come back that you have to freeze your embies.. i would suggest doing a 5 day CGH test. Where they pull the cells on day 5, and you freeze the embies on day 5. Then do a transfer the next month.. It take 2 weeks to get the test results back for this because the only place that does day 5 testing is in Turkey. I forgot the name of the company. From what i hear the results for day 5 testing are more accurate then day 3 testing. Just and idea. I did CGH testing on my embryos also so know a little about it.

My RE suggests 1 full day of bedrest (only get up to use restroom) and then 2 - 3 days of bedrest where I can shower and eat dinner with family.

I can tell from all of the posts that RE's suggest different things. I am already going crazy in bed. We will see how long I last...

Anton-Where are you from? I am praying your levels are good for you! I cant believe a company would say there "too busy" like really??? Well at least you have a backup plan in case they cant help you! Stay positive and enjoy the pool oh yea im totally a POAS addict my friend...I wish I had the guts to wait...maybe ill try something new this time

QUESTION-Ladies...how many of you use a muscle relaxer after transfer???? Ive heard of this...any thoughts???

Tryin-Yea every RE is different but i think its to help prevent ectopics if anything! get a good movie and rest up!

During my IUI yesterday my doctor said that many woman have been successful this summer in his office and many with multiples. I hope that luck is for me and I can spread it!! Well the maybe not the multiples part so much.

This 2ww is going to be rough, it hasn't even been 36 hours and I'm playing some serious head games with my self. I really am enjoying the PUPO concept.

I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone better and sharing support! Happy Weekend.

AFM-Just back from the RE I have 5 follies that are 9-10 and 7 less than 10...IDK if this is good after 4 days of stims or not. All I can do is hope for the best!

Fruit-I dont know what mild stimulation is.........to me I would think less aggresive or less meds but thats just a guess! Hope you get the answers you need.

Best of luck and enjoy the time in the pool!!! Wish I was there to join you in the pool!!!

Lauren - glad AF came!! and that you're back on track with your stims and a new endometrium!!! Best of luck stimming!! I've never heard of muscle relaxants after ET... my RE does give me ibuprofen and he says it decreases uterine contractions after the transfer... hope this helps...

AFM - I'm kinda going crazy... just waiting for tuesday to figure out if this works!! my mind keeps wondering and sometimes I'm sure it did and sometimes I'm sure it didn't! so I'm not sure... I poased this morning... and a hint of a line was there in the cheap dollar store brand stick... but I'm not sure it's true... I'm 8dp5dt.. I'll try to upload it to see if you guys think it's a true line or just my imagination... apart from that... extremely sore behind!! if you could see the huge bumps and purple things there... I sit and feel as if I had a clutter of clothes or something in my behind... and it's just my own progesterone bumps!!
Anyway... hope I can stay sane until tuesday!!! happy weekend all!!! and I'll try to attach the picture... if anyone has suggestions on how to upload it... let me know

Lauren - after 4 stim days u are doing great, don't worry u are certainly at the right track, 9 and 10mm are very good on the 4th stim day ( I had almost the same follies number and measures and RE said it was very good)
yeah Mild Stimulation is less aggressive, my RE said we r using it in this cycle coz i m a very high responder and i need my endometrium to be "less stimulated" for the transfer, but i needed to know what is exactly "Mild Stimulation" coz im feeling that im doing the same thing i did in last 5 BFNs and i wanted to make sure if he is really doing the "Mild Stim."

Anton - im so sorry to hear about the PGD lab news, i hope that everything will turn to be ok and u will finally have ur PGD done and im also sorry for the progesterone levels (even though i don't know their effect at this stage, i know that the high Estrogen levels can cuse OHSS but dont know about progesterone) i'll be praying for u and i hope that everything will turn to be just great and we will spend our 2WW together and we will get our BFP together good luck on ER tomorrow.

longtimerivf - YAAAY i think after 8dp5dt transfer it is surely a positive line, im not sure but i guess that after 13 days ur little bean(s) is making his own HCG. all the luck for tuesday.
