Anton-I am so happy that you and DH made a decision. It makes perfect sense and I have a good feeling about this one. AH is a very good option. My clinic does this on a regular basis especialy with all of their FET's and they have a very good success rate. I wish you all of the best. Please keep us posted.

AFM-I am home relaxing today. After my last FET in May I went to work the next day. I decided this time I would take the day off and let my embabies snuggle in.

Hey all, sorry I've been MIA. We had our U/S on Tues and saw our one little bean growing just right and could even see a heartbeat! SO happy!!! We go back on the 26th for our next one.

Sounds like everything has been going beautifully here. So excited for everyone! I think we are going to be adding tons more BFP on here soon! Does anyone know how mant we've had so far?

Easley: Woohoo!!! Congratulations on hearing the heartbeat!! Isn't it just an amazingly fabulous sound?! Enjoy yourself and your pregnancy!!

Anton: I am so happy that you came to a decision...and the right decision for you and your embibabies. I know that some people debate the 3d versus 5d. I did 5d this last cycle and although I was nervous about them making it to 5d, as you said, some that arrest before then, do so because of abnormalities. Also, 5d is the natural time for emby to reach the uterus. That was another thing that my RE reminded me when I was worrying....before that they are in the fallopian tube. Not that plenty of women don't get pregnant just fine with 3dt, but every little bit of encouragement can help, I say! And assisted hatching is great...I highly recommend that as well. I used that this last successful cycle. It just helps give them a little push to break out (and there is a slightly higher chance that the emby will split, did they tell you that?) Anyway, I am just trying to cheer you on--and help you feel secure in your decision. I will pray that both little embies make it to blast on Saturday (or morula--remember Leora got her twins implanting 2, 5 day morulas). Take care of yourself....as you always do...love DH and get ready to bring your embibabies home in two days!!!

Anton - Sending you all the luck i can muster up.. for the most part i agree with your embryologist. In my instance we had 13 embryo's.. CGH testing was done on day 3.. All the embryo's looked good...grades 1 and 2, most 7+ cells, i had one that was a 5 cell. After the CGH testing found out 7 were abnormal. out of those 7, only 2 made it to 5 days.. all the rest stopped growing on day 3 or 4.

hi chris - if i may ask, from the 13 ferilized embryos , 7 were abnormal and didnt make it, and 2 abnromal embies made it to day 5 ??? can they achieve a pregnancy ??? (if they r abnormal??)
what happened to the other 6 embies ???

Fruit - We transferred 2, 3 are frozen and 1 wasn't good enough quality to freeze. My clinic is very particular and on day 6 it was a grade 3 and they only freeze grade 2 and above. Hoping one of my 3 frozen embies will make baby #2 next year.

Lauren-Thank you for asking. I am feeling fine. An FET cycle is so different from a fresh cycle. The first time we did IVF I ended up with OHSS. I was miserable. But there is no uncomfortable feeling with the FET cycle. Hang in there, the uncomfortable feeling will go away after your follies are removed. I wish you all of the best. I will keep you in my prayers. Please keep us posted.

Hello everyone! We just got home from our FET. Our blasts made the thaw and look great! We did AH, and the embryologist and nurses all said "You ARE bringing twins home from this transfer.". Sounded great to me! We still have one frosty left. Thanks for all of the prayers and sticky vibes!

WishingAndHoping-we have our Beta's scheduled for the same day. I am praying for BFP's for us. I am so happy to hear that your embryologist feels good about this transfer. fruit - yes in some cases an abnormal embryo can make it to day 5. In many instances where ladies transfer awesome looking blasts but still get a BFN, more then likely the embryo was abnormal. If an embryo is abnormal you will get a chance of a few things, a BFN, m/c, chemical or the baby will grow to have genetic defects such as trisomey, which the baby will not be able to survive. Least that is what i believe, course i am not a Dr.
