LongTimeIVF,
I still pop in from time to time to check on everyone, but Thank you for asking about me. Trying to stay focus on our next plans with the new RE. AF is due to arrive sometime on Monday and was asked to call them to schedule an appointment right when she comes...I started to order my meds today but waiting until Monday since the pharmacy told me it's a 24 hour turnaround. I will be away most of the weekend and it's kind of embarrassing to ask my next door neighbors to refrigerate my follistim. lol Next weekend we will be in Alabama and I will have to travel with follistim going to love sneaking meds in my in-laws house, but it has to be kept cold. Anyone been through this before?

Sunshine...I had to go to Florida while I was on my stims and had to hide my meds from my girl friends. I wrapped the package in between 2 icepacs then kept it in the ice bucket in the back of the closet. I know it sounds silly but I was not ready to share my fertility issues with my girls just yet. In retrospect...,it was pretty funny how I was sneaking around but all worth it.

Wishingandhoping - CONGRATS on being PUPO!! ur embies looks great im also taking my 2WW off and having some relaxing time mainly at home. Concerning the lying on ur side i also always wondered about it and im not sure but i don't think it could do any harm. try to ask ur nurse.

Amanda - don't worry about decreasing the meds amount. my RE always did it to me when my E2 levels were high to prevent OHSS.

Lauren - how r u feeling today honey?? ur ER will be done before u know it , dont worry about it. triggering tonight or tomorrow?? meanwhile Grow follies grow

Anton - i'll be thinking of u tomorrow morning ur BFP is only 2 weeks away

Longtimerivf - great Beta!!! and glad ur infection is getting better wishing u a healthy pregnancy.

Easley - Congrats on the u/s

AFM: spoke with the embryologist yesterday , we have 7 beautiful embies growing nicely we'll see the grading tomorrow morning before the ET.

My beta is scheduled for 7/28. I am 8dp3dt. I POAS this morning and it was negative but I expected that. I will try again in a couple of days. Maybe Sunday will be my lucky day

Hi Eveyone!
I have been MIA for a while and now I am back!! Can't believe how fast time is going!!

AF arrive on 7/13, today was my first blood work and sono for my Natural FET. I have a follicle (14mm) on my left ovary and the nurse said it looks good. Going to keep track of the follicle and once I ovulate we will transfer our one and only little embie (5 day blast) in a few days.

This is our last chance - all or nothing; we can't afford another fresh cycle. Really hoping that we become a mommy and daddy this last time. My DH would be such a wonderful father; kind, caring, fun, and loving and all that good stuff. He is the Favorite Uncle to all our nieces and nephews and it makes me sad that he might never get the chance to be the greatest father I know he would be.

Anyway, thanks for listening. Guess I am feeling a bit more nervous since the ET is right around the corner.

Well its official I trigger TONIGHT at 11pm................ER SUnday at 11am! I had 13 follies of good size

Good and bad news today...

Measuring good, heart beat is 119 and they like to see it above 90. But, I have a large (bigger than the baby and sac) intrauterine bleed or tumor in there. They said when they see this it is 50/50 on miscarriage vs. carrying to term. I go back next Friday. I am really really really trying to hold it together!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi everyone!

Today’s update, looks like we are having only 2 embryos that are growing nicely ...the 3rd one left behind again ...so after a lot of consideration and talking to my DH and embryologist, we have all decided that is best to proceed with the 5dt together with AH. This option made more sense to me and I woke up with this clear in my head for some reason! And as soon as the embryologist told me that “...anyway, an embryo with major up normalities cannot reach to a blastocyst stage anyway, by nature..” that gave me the green light to say that YES I want to wait for that 5dt when they reach the blastocyst stage and together with AH we shall proceed with the ET.They don't check the embryos on the 4th day as this is the most important day for them development wise and they don't want to disturb them. So, We are now waiting for that phonecall on Saturday morning to let us know how did they go and what time to go for the ET. I am comfortable with that now and I am very positive about this! But most of all I am relieved we made a decision. About AH, we’ve never done this so far and the embryologist told us that there are cases where there is no implantation b/c the Zona pellicular of the embryo (the outer shell of the embryo in plain words) is so hard that it doesn’t let the embryo to get out and stick on the endo. Maybe we are one of those cases and AH is what we needed after all. Maybe...hopefully...I am praying for my embies to grow nicely and be healthy to reach the blast stage and then come home to mommy and stick for good for the next 9 months! This is what I wish for!!

Lauren- YAY for triggering. Great # on the follicles

AFM: Just a quick post. We have 11 follicles ranging from 8 to 29 in measurements May go one more day on stims then trigger tomorrow ER either Monday or Tuesday. He wants to give the small ones a chance to catch up:) Now I am worried about the freeze. What if all the eggs suck and don't make it to freeze and would be off doing the transfer this next week? My lining is not ready for a transfer so I hope they are great quality eggs, but I have never had great quality before. My R.E said he should know something about the donor this afternoon when they call to tell me what to do next. Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Akdelp: Hang in there...not sure what to think if it is a tumor, but I have been dealing with a hematoma (bleed) the majority of my pregnancy, so feel free to PM me. I was told I had a "threatened miscarriage" at 7 weeks with a 50/50 chance. Sending lots of positive energy to you and your bean.

Amanda: Great number of follies!! Keep up the PMA...you will have some great eggs to freeze I am certain. Hang in there...

Hi everyone,

Some of you had some questions about AH and having a 5dt vs 3dt so I thought of sharing the Ghost’s response to that in a another board theme...here it goes...
GHOST words: “It's the "zona pellucida", often just called the zona. Assisted hatching, which means cutting a hole in the zona, seems to increase IVF success rates. Perhaps that means some viable embryos are not able to hatch, or perhaps it means it's best if they get a little help so they can hatch sooner. A day 5 transfer eliminates some of the genetic problems, but not all of them. Some day 5 blastocysts, even some perfect looking ones, can still have genetic anomalies. But they are less common in day 5 than day 3 embryos. It does not make your embryos better, it just means you are not transferring those that arrested on day 3 or day 4 because of genetic problems...... Embryos on ET day are usually not hatched already, but sometimes we can see them hatching or even fully hatched. In those case, there would be no need or benefit for AH, of course. I'm not sure why it is not done routinely at the clinics that offer it. Perhaps just to get the extra fee?... ”

Sunshine1576- if your in laws know about your having IVF then I don’t see the problem putting your meds in their fridge...play cool! I did that many times in my MIL house! I sometimes even had a spare there just to have one when I am at her place....

Alwasyangel & Longtimerivf- Awesome beta’s mamas!!! I am SO happy for both of you!! Now I can’t wait to see how many you got there!!

Rio- Hey mama! How are you holding there!!! That baby girl of yours seem to like it so much in there and she doesn’t want to come out and play with mommy and daddy! Keep us posted when she arrives!!! I can’t for you to meet your daughter! Precious moment that must be!!!!

.....I crashed on the PAT (pregnant after treatment) board to check on Lou’s princess 3D pics and I saw a post from Margi saying that Leorira, some of you must know her from previous cycles, she had a C-section on the 19th July while she was in her 24 weeks...I was so shocked and I cried for her all afternoon. I couldn’t believe it! I know her history of miscarriages etc and I felt so much for her! I did a bit of google search and found info on her situation in another blog that Margi mentioned and thank God her twin Boys are stable and she is getting released on Sunday. It looks like a lot of her blog buddies are cooking some kind of Jewish bread (holly bread) and say prayers for her and her family. Let’s all here in this blog give our two cents for her and her family and light a candle and pray for her and her boys and DH to get strong and pass this shocking event in their lives as quickly as possible! May those two boys are fighters like their mommy and daddy and grow to healthy babies! If we all send her positive vibes and prayers God will listen and help her get through this difficult moment.

At my appt yesterday, my follies are growing and measured- have 16 total which is good...another appt tomorrow. Everything is going well and probably do ER on Mon.

Sunshine- I went to a birthday party get together this past weekend and had to bring my meds-- I just put them in a lunch bag and when my DH put his beer in the fridge, he also put my bag in there... nobody noticed or asked about it...

Longtimeivf- glad ur behind is getting better.i also had some cramping today...r u 4w 3d??? My us is 8/9. Overall I feel good just very nervous due to prior mc at 6 weeks. I have 3rd beta on thurs...wondering if I should ask to go back for bw sooner due to my nerves?

AFM-Feeling good...paranoia set in today due to prior mc at 6 weeks....trying to stay calm but sooo scared...some cramping this morning started my nerves off today.... Next beta is on Thursday....it seems sooooo far away!!
