Embryo grading? Ghost?

Hey ladies

I've had 3 cycles I just became PuPo today and today was the first time ever I asked for grading and comparison to previous cycles! What does it all mean?

My embryologist told me at this stage just turned 3 days he would expect 6-8 cells I transferred 3 embryos
A 6cell 1B
A 7 cell 2B
A 9 cell 2B

I've seen perfect grade embryos fail to implant and waaaaaaay less than perfect embryos implant . . . each clinic has their own grading/number/letter system . . . perhaps Ghost can speak more intelligently to what the letters mean in terms of fragmentation, etc. I'm no expert, but I would pay more attention to the number of cells that are dividing . . . since you have 6 cells or more, that's awesome!

Day 3 grading is based on number of cells and degree of fragmentation. The ideal on day 3 is 8 cells, but anything close to that works about as well. Sounds like yours are very good embryos, just short of the ideal. I would not worry about the difference.

Lauren - I think those embryos look amazing! I will keep you in my prayers for a BFP!!! With DS I had 6, 8 and 10 cell transfered so I think you will bring home baby with your lucky 3! Congrats on being PUPO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
