Can I keep hope alive?

I know my story is not much differnt than many of you. I'm just wanting to chat with others in my shoes. This is our last chance and I am scared to get my hopes up. It is so hard to not be in love with the frozen embryo that is waiting for us. I just started a 2nd try for a 2nd child. Started the estrogen june 24 my birthday. They can't tell us why we cant on our own. I am getting older and we have two frozen left. We might only use one. We can't afford twins. I have a hard time with this. We do have a DS 20 weeks old that is a miracle. We lost his twin at 17 weeks. My heart still longs for a 2nd child. If this one does not take it will be the end of the road for medicle help due to funds. The days waiting till we transfer of pills and shots are so hard. The days waiting to here the blood results are just as bad if not worse. It is hard to hear of the people who get preg. and don't love or treat there children well. We have o tell our close family do to babysitting and dog sitting. I hate having to go through the questions from people who don't understand. I have had people lately asking me how far along are I or if I'm pregnant. That makes it all worse. Some people say well at least you have one. Yes that is true I am blessed but I'm not done, I have more to give.
sorry I know I'm rambling I know its not easy for anyone.

We transferred our two remaining frozen embies in March and I am 18 weeks pregnant! It can and does happen. Good luck!

We have been married for 14 years in august and I have always known I was ment to be a mother. It is so hard when you are raised it only takes once. For some reason this is not our case. Our DS is so special and We would love for him to have a sibling.

You're story moved me, as my dh would like to have two as well. I understand his logic because no child should ever be alone growing up. I have the most precious 9 yr old neighbor that I adore and she is an only child. Her mom works full-time with school to change careers and better her lifestyle. I have heard her say sometimes I wish you were my mother, but I just spend time with her that is really all she needs. It breaks my heart that she is an only child but her mother is unable to have anymore, and it's her own personal decision to stop there. Yet I still feel no child should be in this world alone. For me and dh, it's going to be tough road for us to accept it the other way around. He will not look into adoption as he strongly feels we just aren't there yet. Our 12th wedding anniversary is in August and all I can think about is moving forward to another clinic that can offer us the IVF Attain program and we try again.

I hope you and your DH have luck soon. It is so nice of you to spend time with your neighbors girl. I bet her mom wishes she could be home more. Some people are just not financialy able to, If that is the reason.
I am lucky to only work 2 days a week 8-10 hour days. My DS comes with me and he loves it. I watch my nephew who is 6 months younger 1 day a week. This is good for my DS.

I have a hard time with the decision to only implant one frozen. Two were frozen together, I wish they would have been frozen seperate. It will be our last IVF chance, our insurrance does not cover any. It is to bad that it doesn't just cost us a few drinks at the bar. lol

I would not be able to work if we had twins and we need my income, also we don't wont to pose a risk to losing one or both like we did with my DS twin. DS is a miricle that he made it. If we refreeze the 2nd one it would be a waist. The chances would be so low and the price so high to try again. The last implant we did was a positive on the first blood test, but a low one. Then It went to negative. The heartbreak is the worst. The love and disappointment we go through each time.

Today is a rough day. Everything seems to upset me and I feel like I just want to cry. My chest feels heavy. I'm guessing it is the estrogen pills. I griped at my DH and Snapped and upset my mother . Then I got out a tub of cookie dough. grrr Need I say more. Now I feel even worse. I don't remember having issues before do to the meds., but who knows, my family may say something different. lol The hard part is wondering if there will be something that will come from all of this. Because I would do anything as we all would. "Trying to keep hope alive."

Stay positive-- many happy thoughts and baby dust to you and your DH. I know this journey is so emotionally and financially consuming- sounds like you are on the right track and it only takes that one to become your little miracle and sibling for your son!
