Morning ladies, well I think the clot is gone....no bleeding since friday...YEAH!!!Laid low all weekend. Went in for beta yesterday 22,000....6w on tues and next beta on Wednesday.

Alwaysangel- Great news! Glad to hear that everything looks good, and that is a super high beta!

Lyd- I'm sorry to hear that your parents were so frustrating this weekend. I wouldn't worry at all about no bedrest. There don't seem to be any studies saying that it's necessary. I'm sure you'll have your BFP before you know it!

Anon- Have you found that HPT? You know I'm a POAS pusher, so I'm dying to know if you are going to POAS!

Lauren319- Love your sense of humor! So glad you're going to cycle with us all!

Ester- How are things going? I know that time seems to stand still when you're waiting for stims, retrieval, transfer, etc.

Wehavehope- I hope you had a great weekend celebrating!!! Can't wait to see your next beta!

Kiminsh- It's good to hear from you. I completely understand how frustrating a negative on the first IVF cycle is. My husband and I were devastated, but the RE was able to see what didn't work well in the first cycle, and make adjustments. I'm praying for you!

Ninde- Feel free to ask all of the questions you need to ask. We're all happy to answer!

AFM- Had my blood drawn this morning...waiting on pins and needles for the beta call! I didn't POAS this morning, but yesterday the line looked good and dark, so we're hoping the beta will reflect that! I have been having a lot of cramping the past few days. I'm really hoping it's just the embie(s) settling in and my uterus trying to stretch a bit! We'll see! I'll let y'all know as soon as I do!

LYD10- How’s the PUPO girl!! Congrats on bringing your baby home where it belongs! Try to enjoy being pupo and then preggo!!! I send you a bag of baby dust!!...relationships with moms are always difficult...i have a lovely caring mother...more than enough caring...and still, there are times were I want to kill her! I love her very much but still, there are times....She knows we are doing ivf and she treats me like I am 9 month pregnant that can’t and shouldn’t do anything! Don’t stand up too much! Don’t sit like that is no good for the baby! Don’t lift that bag form the ground is no good for you! Don’t put the dishes in the washing machine yourself,...you shouldn’t bend that much! Yeap! I want to kill her sometimes! Even though we leave close to each other (10min with the car) I don’t see her everyday otherwise I couldn’t be able to handle it I think! but we do talk regularly 2-3 times a day even if it’s just to say a hello how are you...So it’s ok....hang in there!


Easley- I am so happy that your little “raspberry” is growing as it should!!

Ninde- I hope your muscles feel better by now!!!! Good luck on your cycle!!

Nicksgam- Yay for starting stims!!! This is IT girl!!!!

Saving very penny for it is SO going to worth it!!! we are paying out of our pockets too and if we are not having a baby any time soon now, then will are definitely going to buy a cell in jail! A lot of money Vs a lot of baby joy...hmm! I take it any time!!! Hang in there! I wish you get your miracle baby soon!!!

AFM- Sorry I’ve been MIA at the weekend! It turned out to be a really busy weekend with friends and BBQ’s at home...playing at the pool and me watching...i couldnt get in b/c of the 2ww but I want to believe that it was worth it!...it was OK, I am glad my friends and DH had a blast! ...I had a great time over all!... I haven’t found that HPT I was looking for so I haven’t POAS! (maybe it wasnt meant to be...) I was too chicken to go and buy one so I’ll leave the beta do the talking tomorrow morning! I have to confess though that I don’t feel this is working...besides me being positive most of the time, I woke up this morning (following another nightmare I had last night..) with my instinct telling me that it’s going to be a BFN So I try to get used to the idea a day ahead of my beta and start feeling the disappointment as of today. I am already doing scenarios for my 8th IVF cycle...I will try and convince my DH for ED....I don't know, maybe, I am thinking about it...maybe this is the answer...my DH has sensed that something has changed with my attitude and he keeps asking me if I POAS and I keep telling him that I haven’t! This morning was the top! he goes: “...don’t be like this, we should wait for the beta tomorrow baby and then we take it from there. If it’s a BFN we will have to take it one more time and move forward to our next attempt. We are not going to die over this! If it’s a BFP then first I will kill you for feeling so sad today thinking negatives and then we will be the happiest people on earth! My bet is on that!!”...I couldn’t believe my ears!! He was telling me the same words I tell him for the past 6 cycles! He is supposed to be the “weak” one! The negative/pessimistic one! Not the other way around! Of course it was exactly what I wanted to hear but still! I am in shock!. ..seems that in all these 2years of dealing with IVF it is the first time we are changing roles and it feels good! I prayed so hard that I get that BFP this time and now that the day has come I feel so scared to even go and give blood for the test! I am not expecting to feel anything, a sign that will tell me if I am pregnant or not, is just my instinct that is telling me that this is not the time I am getting my BFP... please God prove me wrong!!!!!

Wish me luck for tomorrow girls! I sure need it!! and if its a BFN again, I will just have to take it and move on to the 8th IVF cycle...how did we get this far and still no baby!!!....i cant believe it!...tomorrow we shall see...

anton - Your feelings were so much like mine last cycle. I couldn't POAS and i was a POAS queen. I just knew it didn't work and I couldn't take seeing another negative. Your journey has been long and i am praying that your instincts are wrong and you will get a BFP tomorrow. Good Luck!! I'll be stalking the boards till you post tomorrow.

Sorry as I know I missed personals for some but thinking of you all and hope all is well!!

AFM - Trying to keep busy but calm. Doing the progesterone inserts and I have to say they are the worst!! YUCK!! Also, feeling some mid back pain like AF is coming. Could that be a side effect of progesterone inserts?? Starting reading a Nelson Demille Book, The Gate House which takes place on the North Shore of Long Island. Pretty interesting read as I am from the South Shore of Long Island and its fun to read about places I live near. Well thats how my 2WW is going. I haven't decided whether or not to POAS. My beta is Friday 8/12!! So far away!!!

Gotta get back to work!

Anton-Stay STRONG!!!! A simple sign to you would be too easy...remember this is a crazy journal. Glad to hear you had a nice weekend PICSI is a technique they use for MF infertility...they take a dish...and apparently it has a substance in there that matches the same substance the egg has on its outside..so they place the swimmers in there and whichever ones bind to that substance are supposed to be the most "mature" sperm and then they ICSI that one based on criteria...make sense? I am going nutty!

AFM-I had my estrogen level checked this am! I feel pains but not sure whats going on so I tried to stop figuring it out So when should I POAS? My Dh asked me...LOL

Deftonesmo- I haven't been able to get betabase to work in a few days. I was able to find an archive of betabase from 2009, and it said average for multiples (not divided into twins verses triplets, etc.) was 537 at 16dpo. That's why I'm a bit worried about more than twins! Hopefully it's 2 strong little beans, although I will certainly take more! I do work though, and I have to keep working, so triplets or quadruplets would be a challenge! For now I'm just going to be thrilled that I'm pregnant!

MaTina- The progesterone can definitely make you cramp. I have been very crampy even since before the transfer. As soon as I started progesterone, I started cramping. It sounds like you've found some good ways to occupy yourself during the 2ww! Good luck!

Lauren- We transferred 2 beautiful hatching blasts. After the transfer I read that assisted hatching increases the chance of monozygotic twins. We'll see! As far as when to POAS, I started at 5dp5dt and it was a faint line, but of course I have a high beta. I think you could start as early as 5dp5dt or 7dp3dt, but you just have to realize that a negative on HPT does not mean that your beta won't be positive! Good luck! I'm sure you will have your BFP!
