Hi ladies, I am excited to be at the airport and finally going back home to San Antonio-- although the cooler temps in Denver were very nice! I miss my DH and my spoiled dog :). Also, I'm contemplating if I should POAS or wait till Tues?? I talked to my sisters about it and they seem to think I should wait. I'm just kinda terrified and anxious to get that phone call after the b/w on tues morn. Lyd- did you POAS? Does anyone know if the vaginal suppositories effect the HPT?? Just wondering cuz my RE siad for me not to do one the morning of my b/w?! Lauren- fingers crossed for u-- u will get your BFP!! WE- I am so deeply saddened for you and your DH and family- I can't imagine the pain you are experiencing right now. I am a firm believer in angels as well. With your positive spirits and your energy and love, you will have a healthy pregnancy and a little miracle baby! I hope you all are having a great weekend! :)

Wehavehope- I hope you are relaxing with your DH today. I know that this must be a difficult weekend for you. I'm glad that you are able to find peace and comfort with the angels that have come to you. I am praying for you and your husband.

Lyd and Lauren- The 2ww is definitely brutal, and I will continue to pray for the two of you. Do not lose any hope until those betas come in! And by the way Lauren, those online tests claim to be very sensitive, but I found that I was barely getting a positive on those when I was getting a very dark positive on other tests.

Ester- I took my Lupron and Gonal-F at the same time with no problems. I'm so excited for you that you have started stims! You will be PUPO before you know it!

Mandarae- My husband's counts and morphology have always been fantastic, but my RE always does ICSI anyway. I've never questioned it. As much work as it is to make those eggs, you have to make them count!

Prayersnpies- I know you'll be happy to be home! I don't think the suppositories affect the HPT at all. Can't wait to hear about your BFP! I am a POAS pusher, so I would love to see you POAS and get that BFP early!

Margi- I'm so glad that you continue to stalk our board! It's always good to hear from you!

AFM- Just hanging out this weekend relaxing. We got to see some old friends last night which was great, but we didn't go to bed until 1:00 am which is too late for me! I can't sleep past 8:00, so now I'm tired again. My progesterone went from 10.6 to 19 in 3 days with adding 1 suppository per day to my 1 cc of PIO daily. They told me to keep doing the same, but I really feel like I need to up my progesterone somehow after my miscarriage last time. I have a very slight amount of pink or brown tinge when I wipe. I called the RE today to see if I can go up to 2 suppositories per day or 2 cc of PIO. Waiting to hear back...

My dear friends,
I wanted all of you to know that I am keeping up with all of you. Checking in every so often. It's kind of difficult. I find myself trying to move forward but having trouble dealing with the present. I find myself closing my eyes and crying for no reason. Well, not no reason bit when I start to cry I dint realy think I am thinking about anything in particular. It's so hard to check the board and the updates and think about how a week ago my signature included a cute photo of a couple announcing that they were expecting. Now we have to tell our kids that I am no longer pregnant and we have to think about how to move on and start this process all over again with 2012 quickly coming to an end. Because of the three attempts this year we have met our out of pocket maximum for the year. Meaning that for the last month, my insurance has coveted 100% of everything including medications. That ha been a releaf because meeting that means that we have paid out of picket this year about $10,000. A few months ago we had discussed getting in 3 more cycles this year. We have 6 frosties and so 2 transferred each tine meant 3 more tries. After that we were not going to be able, financially to start again next year with meeting our deductable and the our out of pocket maximum, meaning anotare $10,000. With The MC, we are posible lookkinh ay anitger try in October. That means that will more than likely be our last try for this year. That would still leave us with 4 frosies or two more attempts for next year, if the one in October does not work. My DH and I discussed it and it will be very difficult financially but if October does not work out then we will give it the final two tries next year. I have some refills left on my Luprin, Vivelle, and Crinone, so I have requested the refills Noe and will do the same every month until December, this way I can at least save on some of the meds. If I do it this way I will probably have enough meds for the October transfer and the next one after that. Every little bit helps. My mind is moving fast. I can't seem to keep up. One minute I'm crying uncontrollably and the next I'm planningfor the next transfer and thinking about what I could possibly do different this time. I still have my appointment Monday morning for the Beta. I am not expecting anything other than the Beta continuingto fall. I guess at this point my only hope is that it falls quickly so we can get started on our next cycle. I pray that this next ine will be it for us.

Thank you to everyone yhat has prayed for us. I want you all to know that I am thinking of each and everyone of you. I am keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers. I am praying that all of your dreams come true.

Oh Lauren - i am so sorry. this sucks. i know its hard to hold on to hope but please try. we've seen it all on this board - spotting, negative HPTs the morning of beta and still going on to succesful pregnancies.

i know - its really hard to be hopefull. i am struggling with that myself. i dont think its happening for me this cycle. and to be honest, i was given really low odds. i only had one "on time" 3 day embies. the other 3 were 1 day and 2 days behind. so these are low odds. i have to remember that i planned to just run through these quickly and go on to a fresh cycle next.

Yes - i do have weird dreams on projesterone. and weird cravings - i crave vinegary things all the time! and feel nauseous. and heart palpitations. basically the works!

one thing that i never have on PIO - although never say never - is spotting before i stop it. even if the cycle is a bust - the AF cant come as long as i am on PIO shots. on suppositories its a different story. in my first cycle i was just on suppositories and my AF came before my negative beta. the 2nd cycle i was also on suppositories only and AF didnt come as i had a positive beta. these last 3 cycles i am on PIO and AF doesnt seem to come no matter what the outcome - until i stop the PIO.

mandarae wrote:Hi Ladies-

Wehavehope- I'm so sorry to hear about your decreasing Beta numbers. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Your story gave me some serious chills. It brought tears to my eyes. I lost my best friend in 2003 and I have hoped to get to "see" her one last time..still waiting! Stay strong.

LYD-Try to stay positive. I can only imagine how hard it must be. I'm so not looking forward to the 2ww. You're husbands friend isn't from NY is she? I know someone who just had #6 and is 41 too! Thanks for the icsi reply.

Anton- So sorry about your BFN. You always seem so energetic and positive. I hope that you continue to stay this way.

Fvrogers- Sorry to hear about your BFN :(

Riogirl and Margi- Thanks for the reply on icsi. It makes me feel better to see that you both have done it and have perfectly healthy children.

Moorebaby- congrats on getting started! Only 40 min. from the shoreline? I'm so jealous. Water is so relaxing and peaceful. Hope you had a nice time.

Sunshine- WTG on 6 follies! I'm new to ivf so I'm not exactly sure what everything means and what is good or bad, but happy for you! :)

Lauren- try to stay positive. I know it's easy for me to say, but having a pma is really important.

Easley- Congrats on a great u/s!! You must be so happy!!

AFM- I know I freaked on the icsi call. It was a serious curveball for me. So far everything had been nothing, but positive for me, until the dreaded phone call. DH and I have children via natural pregnancy so it's obvious there was never an issue before...why now? I have so many questions. He abstained for over a week..could that affect his morphology? Can they retest the day of retrieval? I know I read wayyy too much on the internet and have read about the higher percentage of abnormalities, etc. Does icsi, compared to reg. ivf, lower your pg percentage rate? I have read about a fertility blend for men, anyone try it? Sorry for the barrage of questions and if I left anyone out. I hope everyone has a great day!
hi mandarae - wow another couple with 6 kids. i guess why not, right? no, our frends live in pensilvania. close though

Wehavehope: no wonder you are all over the place, how could your mind keep up. Seriously you need to be really gentle with yourself. It's the time for you to be compassionate to yourself. Try and do something you enjoy - just to help you breathe x

Lauren: I hope its implantation that'
going on for you. How are you no

Lyd10: how ar you feeling?

Afm : feeling tired and wite full the time which I'm presuming is the injections. I'm sorry I've missed some people but my phone only seems to be taking one character at a time! So ill say goodnight, wish you all alot of rest and catch you tomorrow

Dreams2009- I'm sorry to hear about dh's grarndfather passing away. It's never easy loosing a loved one, esp grandparents.
MooreBaby- Grow follies grow! Sounds like you are going to be pretty busy going into next week!
WeHaveHope- How are you doing girl? I'm thinking of you and wishing only the best.
Anton- When did you say the next appointment is, I know sometimes a little break can do the soul good.
Oh how did I miss, I promise to send more personals once I recoop from my eventful day!

Yes it happened so fast that I didn't even have time to post yesterday. My nurse called me around 5pm telling me we have 7 "robust looking" follies and the doctor recommending me to cancel the cycle. I was literally in tears on the phone and told her absolutely not! We have invested so much time and money (everything out of pocket) that I cannot see myself doing that. So after throwing my raging fit, I calmly asked her but why would he do that? She said with 7 measuring 16-20.2mm we now have an increased chance for multiples. I talked it over with dh and decided to go for it! So she said go ahead and do the trigger shot right now, I said but I'm at work, would 10:30 be too late, she said yes b/c you're coming in on Saturday for a 10am procedure. I was like what this is happening SO fast and dh released on Thursday night he will be perplexed. She said sometimes we have no control over when we must do the procedure, so I explained to the girls at work, went home for my injection and packed a bag. Got back to work before 7 and closed. Dh picked me up after work and we drove all the way to Mobile, AL getting there at 1am Sat. morning. Spent the night at a nice place, dh said he didn't ask how much the room was, it was just convenient... He had to be at the clinic 7:30 to drop off his contribution. So then he got back to tthe hotel and we had a nice breakfast down in the lobby. Got to the clinic and got to finally meet the nurse I had been talking with over the phone, actually I recognized her voice beforehand but it was nice to finally put a face with her voice. My RE was out of town in Greece so another doctor did the procedure which when I heard his name I didn't mind one bit at all... :D remembering my good friends had success with this doctor. They told us dh's sperm was in the average range about 4.3 million, and when they washed them (the sperm) it really helped with the morp and mobility. said with 7 mature eggs altogether we would have a good shot, but asked how we felt about reduction if more than twins happened. I felt it difficult to make a decision on the spot but thought we would always be wondering had we not proceeded. Watching the whole process on the screen at this new clinic was just amazing, it was like "baby fireworks" going off on the monitor as he coated my tubes. Said having a full bladder really helped because it pushed the uterious down so he had a straight shot. Anyway I start the progesterone tablets tomorrow. Told us to do whatever feels natural, bd tonight if we wanted to and tomorrow. (But I'm waiting till Sunday to help the sperm quality if though it's only a 24 hr lapse.) He said after Sunday refrain for bd since we might "bump something" out of place. Go in for my beta 8/19 cautiously optimistic.
