Hey y'all! Just went through my first IVF cycle (WAY tougher than expected, so kudos to ALL you women out there) had a blast transfer last sunday, and blood work to see if it worked next Sat. (8/20). My question is, how early can you test at home to see if it worked without getting a false positive. Can you at all? Or is this 2 week visit the earliest we'd know. It's a cruel waiting game...
**UPDATE** I jumped the gun before looking through other posts - no reply's necessary. I'm new to the message board and this is opening up a whole-nother world to me.
good luck! Come join the Fall (or Summer) cycle buddies groups -- I find that the ladies there are super supportive and understanding. IVF is incredibly difficult and usually you don't have friends in real life who understand - so these message boards are great!
I've always tested negative at the equivilant of "10dpo" (dpo = days past ovulation --- so 7dp3dt or 5dp5dt). When I've been pregnant, I've gotten positive pregnancy tests (although very faint) at 12'dpo' - or 9dp3dt or 7dp5dt. So you have to wait at least a week after a 5d transfer!
Some women opt to just wait for the blood test, but I never can! I always take home pregnancy tests!
