I just got a call back from my clinic with some levels... my prolactin is good but my thyroid is at 3.5, she said it's considered a little high for them, they like to see it in the 2.5 range so on Friday they will be filling two blood tubes to check my thryoid to monitor it better. She said my doctor likes to see it in the normal before proceeding with anymore meds. Is there anything I can do at this point to regulate my thyroid naturally? I'm getting really worried that this is not good.

Hi ladies,

Had my u/s this morning. My cyst shrunk from 21mm to 14mm since last Tuesday. Tonight is my last BCP and if my Estrogen levels come back nice and low on Friday I am good to start stimming Friday night. Question though, will I get AF once I stop taking BCP? My mom actually was asking me this and I have no idea. I am doing the antagonist protocol this time.

Hope everyone has a great day I am heading out to lunch with a great friend of mine!!

Madame,
Enjoy your lunch! :D Yes you will get aunt flow once you stop bcp. It usually doesn't last near as long though. I am glad your mom knows, it's nice to have all the support you can possibly get. My MIL knows more than my own mom only b/c my mom tells her 3 sisters and before long I get calls from all of them too. lol

Dear all

Christy : I dont know I'm afraid but maybe call you doctor (rather than re) and ask him /her. How are you after the accident

Madame x: that's great the cyst has shrunk

Afm: 10 eggs retrieved which was higher than expected. Had a bad reaction at home when I woke again about 2.30pm. High temperature, bad nausea, light headed and awful colic. Called clinic, doc phoned back, explained colic and then said to drink sugary drinks. Did that, went back to sleep and woke at 6.10 with those symptoms gone. Stomach feels like its done 10 rounds with Tyson but I expected that! It was funny earlier, anaesthesiologist came in and said it would be conscious sedation. After what had been said here I asked for twilight but he said they didnt do it because then I couldnt be roused but I would instantly go to sleep, they call it conscious but I wouldn't be awake or remember anything! True to his word I didnt and as I drifted off, lovely nurse held my hand. So I'm thinking conscious sedation and twilight may mean something different in ireland than the states? Again thanks for all your support. Its invaluable

Hi all! I am super new to this board and have never posted, but have been following you guys. The short version of our story: Me 39, DH 45 I have 2 adorable boys from a previous marriage (17 yrs old & 19 yrs old), had a tubal with the 17 year old. DH has MF. Started meds on July 30th, did the ER on Aug 10th( 5 eggs, 3 fertilized) and just did the ET on Aug 13th and transferred all 3. So, I thought I would be totally cool just sitting here through the 2ww and not be dying already for a HPT....wow, was I wrong! So, what are you guys doing, or what have you done in the past to keep your mind off of this during the 2ww? This is our 1 and only IVF cycle, I have walked through IVF with friends, but it's totally different hearing about it and going through it.

LauraN,
Welcome first of all! Around here we call the 2ww "Crazytown" because everything possible runs through our mind before we even get to Beta day! I am dying over here too, not sure what is going to happen on Friday but the only thing I know I can do is try to find good movies (on my off day like today) and work out in the garden (if it's not 100 degrees out), but I love last week b/c my husband was off from work and we took day trips to nearby rivers with natural springs. The beach is nice but always better in Sept-Dec., guess I'm somewhat of a snowbird. Other than that I enterain my neighbor's daughter, Belles with crafts (should of gone into early childhood education) and journalize a ton on here. I think overall it's our cycle buddies that keep me sane and from loosing it because they truly know what we are going through!
Welcome again, I'm glad you're here! :D Christy

Ninde,

Yay on retrieving TEN eggs, you did great and that was so sweet of the nurse to hold your hand. Twil-light sleep is what we can it here and all I remember hearing was my RE saying Christy I'm done. He later said I talked in my sleep, lol.

I think I'll hold out until Friday...The accident was a fender bender, the guy backed up at a red light to change lanes so it was just the spoiler damaged and the metal dinged around the headlights. Was glad the airbag didn't deploy.
AFM: 3 days and 3 minutes...but cautiously optimistic now that I heard about my thyroid issue.

I'm SOOOOO NERVOUS about tomorrow's ER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just keep remembering my last ER, which I thought was a nightmare! I'm happy to be moving into this phase of this cycle, but I'm not happy about the procedure itself...ugh! I have to be there at 8:30, so the actual procedure will be more like between 9:15 & 9:30. That means by 10 I should be done, so in 16 hours it'll all be over! I do have an Atavan I was prescribed to take. Hopefully, that'll help. I'm NOT going to be able to sleep tonight!

Ester- thinking of you- and a quick recovery! :). Just wanted to vent-- it drives me nuts-- why to some moms post like 10 pics a day of their child- is it really necessary to post that many pics on facebook documenting you childs every move... Ugh annoying...
