fruit- In addition to playing a role in fertility & pregnancy, the thyroid regulates metabolism. So, if you have an underactive thyroid, you will have a harder time keeping weight off (your thyroid is slow when it comes to "burning your food into energy"). If you have an overactive thyroid, you will have a harder time gaining weight (your thyroid is fast when it comes to "buring your food into energy"). Yours sounds like it's in the normal range. How is everything going for you? !
Ester - thank u for the informations :D , and i was wondering what's the connection... maybe i should ask my RE about my underweight hmmmmm.
im so glad u're happy today :D and i'll be there to cheer u on being PUPO on monday and on ur BFP 10 days later :D
You're welcome. I'm not sure how much underweight you are, but I do know that a female's body requires some level of body fat in order to be able to get pregnant & maintain a healthy pregnancy. It's a good question to ask Ghost.

hi guys - i am just waiting for my beta on monday. for some reason my PMA is really in the dumps. i am so afraid the beta is not where it needs to be. but we'll see. its just that it had such a slow start - i am worried. there is always something to worry about. also i am not the least bit nauseous. of course my last pregnancy i didnt feel super nauseous either and not till later. but still - i am worried worried worried. urghh- i am tempted to poas - but i am not sure it will make me feel better. just worse i am sure.

Ester - so happy for you! i cant wait to see how many blasts you will have and probably a few to freeze as well! btw - did you hubby take any supplements this time around? i am having mine take his fertility supplements plus coq10 as well.

Thanks Ester for explaining the thyroid function a little better to everyone. My RE would like to see it in a lower range then 3.5 before we try any more fertility treatment. Anyway, will definately keep you posted, and plan to cycle again late Fall. We are just trying to decide if we want to move back to trying IVF again or another IUI, don't know but defiantely want to be "healthier" before trying again.

DH has been taking a ridiculous amount of vitamins, lol! Vitamin A, Vitamin E, Super B-complex, Zinc, Selenium, Acetyl-l-carnitine, Fish oil, Folic acid, Alpha liporic acid, CoQ10, Acai, Lycopne, & L-Lysine.

Thank you! As of yesterday morning, we had 11 embabies growing & dividing. I "talked" to them today & told them I'm thinking of them. Yes, we will definitely be freezing.

Spotting has started tonight, I think AF is visiting me tomorrow...I need LOTS of chocolate to keep me going! Update: Yep, it's now Sunday morning and"cycle day1" has officially begun. Ok I have a stupid question...Normally the body releases one egg during a month but with 7 follies with possible eggs will this period be unbearable and painful?

Hello everyone and happy Sunday:

Sunshine1526: How are you doing? Have you been able to spend any time this weekend just down-timing and taking care of yourself?

Fruit: In case you are wondering at all about your thyroid and get it re-checked - ask them to do a sub-clinical testing too. I gain wait extremely easily despite doing a lot of exercise and watching my diet. One of the things my medical herbalist checked was a sub-clinical reading on my thyroid because the usual test always came up as normal and we were all mystified because of the difficulties I have keeping weight off. Mine was still in the normal range even sub-clinically! But its worth getting it checked if you are borderline.

Prayers: How are you doing? How would you feel if there are more than one heartbeat on Tue?

Lauren: How is the jewellery shopping going?

Mandarae: How are the injections going?

Lyd10: How are you? Its tomorrow you have another Beta isn't it?

Lauren: I hate football season! Did you get to watch anything else on tv this weekend?!

Moorebaby: I wish I had thought about getting hair colour before the 2ww!!! I'm hoping tinting is ok! How was coffee and desert?

Afm: I'm good, healing seems to be nearly done (i.e. I can now laugh without wincing!) and I think I've really benefitted from all the sleep. I got into bed for an afternoon nap yesterday and couldn't understand why I didn't go straight off to sleep - until I realised that I've slept a lot this week and for once didn't need it! I'm going to go back to work tomorrow. I'll be working four days but I've kept my caseload as medium as possible and my latest day is 7.30 and I've made sure I don't start til 12 on that day so it should be fine. I'm just wondering when I might feel anything?

Ninde - i am glad you caught up on your sleep! when it comes to feeling things - there is realy no way to tell. most of what we feel are side effects of either progesterone shots/suppositories or uterus being scraped during the transfer procedure. i've now had cycles when i felt lots and nothing and there is absolutely no correlation. unfortunately the only way to tell is to wait for beta. keeping my fingers crossed yours is coming up positive soon!

did you say you work as a psychiatrist? that's a tough job. i occasionally watched that hbo show "in treatment" and the psychiatrist o it is irish i think. it was very interesting. tough job though!

nikcsgam - how exciting your beta is just around the corner!

preyers - that U/S will be here before you know it!

ester - i cant wait to hear about your transfer tomorrow!!!!!

christy - i am sorry you have to bear through AF again - but that means you can move forward and try again!
