Hi Ladies

DH and I just got home; we went for an early afternoon walk, and then headed to a movie. He is now downstairs watching the Little League World Series, so I decided to jump online and catch up a bit.

Dreams—No I am not from Philly, I am from the Scranton area, about 2-2 1/2 hours from you. We do go to Philly a lot though; my sister went to college and worked down there for a while so she is like my personal information center when it comes to restaurants, hotels, and stuff. Also, my SIL lives down there now and my DH is a huge Philly’s fan, so we do go to some games throughout the year. Plus, I love KOP shopping!!!

LYD and Nicksgam --- Good luck with your betas early this week. I can’t wait to hear about the BFP news!!

Moorebaby – Good luck with the big transfer tomorrow!!! In less than 24 hours you will be PUPO!!!

Mandarae – let us know how your app goes tom. Can’t wait to hear about all those growing follies!!

Prayers—It is so awesome your u/s is this week!! How exciting!!

AFM--- My b/w on Friday said my Estrogen was nice and low at 18. So I started follistim last night instead of Friday and they had me take BCP for one extra night. They are trying to tweak it so the day of the biopsy (PGD) of my embryos is a Saturday. The nurse told me Saturday’s are much more quite/calm (no procedures) in the lab so they have the whole lab to work in all to themselves. They are basing this on my last cycle, which I stimmed for 9 days. So now I go in for b/w again on Tuesday. If all goes to plan my ET will be on Labor Day…. Please let that be a sign, “Labor” Day… sigh…

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of the weekend!! I am totally going to continue to relax, definitely ordering take-out tonight!!

Lyd10: I'm actually a psychotherapist - so I do all the therapy stuff without being able to prescribe drugs (although sometimes I'm tempted - both to take them and to prescribe them!). It can be tough, its amazing what comes your way, about a month before I started the whole IVF process I had three clients with pregnancy issues - two going through IVF and one who desperately wanted to find a partner so she could have a family. Unfortunately one of the women started to miscarry while she was with me which was just awful. Thankfully the second is now 28 weeks pregnant and is so heatlhy and believe me she beat all the odds. I love the work though, it can be demanding and emotional but hugely rewarding too.

Fruit: In terms of Sub-clinical testing: when doctors generally test for hypothyroidism they are looking for TSH and T4 levels. When these TSH levels and the T4 levels are normal the doctor will say thryroid is fine. But when they also ask for the 'subclinical' readings there may be an indication in that test that all is not right - readings can be slightly different. Effectively 'subclinical hypothyroidism," is most commonly an early stage of hypothyroidism. So its really just a closer look - rather than just taking the mainstream findings. I have to say that in Ireland alot of doctors don't bother to do it or consider it important. It was my medical herbalist and nutritionist who collaborated and requested the sub-clinical levels. So if they won't do the test - ask them to take a look at the 'subclinical levels' - there are about 4 (I think) that feed into the overall finding. I've probably managed to make that even more complicated!

Ester, Tomorrow your emibabies are coming home! Cannot wait to hear more details!

Lyd10, Good luck tomorrow on your big beta...I have everything crossed for you!

Madame, Labor Day sounds perfect to me too! We watched some of the Little League World Series last night, those boys are so young and I thought I saw one almost cry, but no big deal some men cry too. Scranton? Isn't where The Office is filmed, love that sitcom but Steve Cattrel left the cast and is now focusing his career in more movies...I haven't heard if his latest is worth seeing, but I love him as an actor. Probably one of my most favorite was 40 year Virgin, too funny!

Ninde, Thank you for asking about little me...I spend alot of time in fashion designing (with my sewing machine making knockoffs and creating outfits for Belles, my neighbor's little girl who holds a big piece of my heart! If I'm not making something, I'm working at the boutique. Also I love working out in the garden my husband created, I think it's therapy when you can succeed at growing ANYTHING... he has poured everything into that garden with tomatoes, corn, okra, lemon cucumber, green beans, watermelon and cantaloupe. We also have two labrador retrievers Blackjack and Vegas who claim to be the center of our life and they are our children of 7 years. :D I try to encourage my husband to find hobbies, so he bought a small fishing boat and it's perfect for downtime and socializing with the finest of Panama City! We're thinking about taking our labs out on the water with us the next time we go. Not sure how well they would respond to us fishing but it would be fun to watch them jump in.:)

Hi All. Sorry, I've been MIA for a good portion of my first week of my 2WW. It's been crazy, but got crazier with my 17 year old son having an emergency appendectomy Friday night. He's doing great and actually went to school today (1st day of his senior year). Anyways, this 2ww has been not so fun, I've gone through periods of time where that is all I can think about and then other times when I'm ok with the waiting. Yesterday, when I did my weekly Walgreens shopping (I'm getting into couponing and they have some awesome deals), I put a couple of HPT's in my basket and then before I went to check out went and put them back on the shelf. I figure if I have them, I will be walking around peeing all day long on them, so best not to have them at the house. I have been suprised that the shots aren't even stressing me out (which is crazy because I'm soooo scared of needles- my biggest fear in the whole world)- if it weren't for the numbing cream that the doctor prescribed me, I don't know how I would have made it this far with all of the shots.

I hope everyone is hanging in there!

Hello ladies!!! I'm officially PUPO!!! We transferred 2 beautiful babies...an early blast & a compacted blast. Now, about the BETA. Technically, my BETA is on 8.31. However, that is the 1st day of school for students. I CANNOT be late. So, I have a few options. I can go to Quest in the morning (there's 1 that opens at 6:30am) or I can go to Quest in the afternoon after school gets out. The nurse wrote "STAT" on the paperwork indicating that they need the results ASAP. If they follow directions, my clinic should have the results the next day, 9.1. Now, I'm just laying in bed & starting the rituals of crazytown!!!

Oh yeah, they'll call me tomorrow if there are that were frozen. I believe this morning out of the 11, 8 were doing good. So, after the 2 we transferred, there 6 left. So, we'll see how many of those 6 will be able to be frozen.

DH: 38 (Severe MF)

IVF 1: BFP...M/C
IVF 2-5: BFN
IVF 6: BFP...it's twins!!

Ester - huge congrats! fantastic news!!!!! so many embies doing well is great news and gives you great odds for the ones you transferred!

Nicksgam - i love love love yosemite! its my favorite place on earth. you parents live in oakhurst or merced? i am so jelous :) my DH and I have joked a number of times we are going to quit everythign and move there. i dont know what we would do for a living - but that place is magical! we havent been back since my DS was born - too chicken to make the 6 hour drive from san diego. but we really need to get back there. before DS we used to go 3-4 times a year.

Ninde - your job sounds tough and rewarding. all i know about phsychoterapy is that HBO show.

thanks guys for your well wishes. fingers crossed! i went in early for b/w so hopefully will hear around lunch time from the doc. i am so scared! i did take an HPT last night - and it was darker than a week ago. but i dont know if it is dark enough - my beta needs to be in the 1600 by my calculations. its scary. i just want this to work so bad. but at teh same time i am always mentally preparing myself for october cycle again. my DH is on his suppliments now. it looks like those suppliments really work for MF - he should have been taking them for the previous retrival in february. i cant believe we let it slip. we probably would have had much better fertilization rates and many more embryos to choose from. oh well. live and learn. lets see how this goes and if we are doing another one in october - lets see how the suppliments work out then. i am rambling.... cause i am freaking out.

What wonderful news to read!!!!! Congrats on being PUPO and whoo hooo on having some to freeze. Can't wait to hear the final count on frozen ones. That is just super. So are you going to go in the early a.m. for b/w or do you think you'l wait until the afternoon? If you go early a.m., is there a chance you could get results the same day?

moorebaby - Congrats on being PUPO. Sending lots of embie snuggling in vibes. Oh and I would go in the morning to get your blood work done. It will drive you insane to wait all day to do it. Plus if you do it in the morning, Quest will have it back that day. Usually takes 4 hrs if marked STAT.
