Hi!

I will try and get to personals later, but I have a quick question. I went to my b/w and u/s visit today and my RE only saw 3 measurable follies!!! What a let down. I'm on day 8 of stims and only have one ovary to work with. He says that he would definitely like to proceed with ER, but I'm so depressed and skeptical. Does anyone know of any success stories with only a few follicles?? I go back on Wed. Thanks

Nicksgam: Oh thats great you got a positive beta! I'm not sure about the progesterone - what did your RE say? My beta is on September 1st. And oh Yeosemite is just lovely. I was there as part of my honeymoon, what a gorgeous place to be.

Sunshine: Your dogs sound gorgeous! I have a golden retriever called Bailey, he is 2 and a half and gorgeous but really bouncy!

Moorebaby: Congratulations! I think we might have our results on the same day. My blood test is between 8and 10am on September 1st and they phone me in the afternoon. I really hope some of your embies can be frozen. (I think we call them snow babies over here? But I think you call them frosties?)

Fruit ~ How are you doing?

Mandarae ~ My twin also only had one ovary when she was doing IVF (we half expected me to have three when I started!) and she also had a reduced level of follicles. I think she had 5. She did get pregnant, unfortunately she miscarred - but that had nothing to do with the level of follicles. Talk to your RE again - ask him/her for his/her previous expereince

I'm really sorry if I've missed anyone out.

AFM: was lovely and calm this evening until I realised that it looks like I've been scammed on Ebay! DH decided to use my account to sell a camera, sent it off this morning (being the trusting souls we are and the email confirmation we had received from Paypal) and now it looks (from another email sent) that its all been fraudulent. Now surprisingly I didn't throw my (d)h out of the window because I didn't think it would be good for the embies

Ninde, Bailey sounds precious, mine go blistic when it storms. Today when I got home, I found the drier coil pulled completely out, becasue one gets so scared he wants to hide behind the washer and drier! They are like kids sometimes....My brother has a golden retriever named Banpf and he jumps through car windows to compensate food. I love dogs of all kinds, although the best are the shelter dogs that just need someone to love!

Moorebaby, Congratulations on your transfer! Get plenty of rest and let those emibabies snuggle in.

Ester - YAY!!!! I'm so excited for you! You in bed? What are you doing to keep busy?? I would def get the results ASAP and go in the morning. You'll die of anticipation!!!

Nicksgam - CONGRATS on the BFP!!! a friend of mine has a cabin in Yosemite and we used to go every year to swim in the creek (that becomes raging waters). It's seriously one of the most beautiful places on Earth.

Mandarae - I have definitely heard of success stories. They make 3 follicles the cutoff for terminating for a reason - notice the cutoff isn't 4 or 5. You're doing well. I know it's disheartening, but keep your PMA up, my dear.

LYD - ?!?!?!!?!?!

Sunshine - I'm on levothyroxine because my thyroid is slightly off. It doesn't take much to get it right, I promise.

LauraN - I'm glad everything turned out ok with your son. Now time to relax (as much as you can in Crazytown:))

I know I missed a lot of you, but I've got a Lupron headache.

AFM - Stopped BCP's, waiting for AF to go in for Blood and Ultrasound to start stimming.

Sunshine - Chrissy, right? I don't remember the number, but I literally only take one 25 mg pill/day, which many doctors consider so little it's like a vitamin, but can make a huge difference with IVF. The awesome part is that the only side effects you'll feel will probably be positive because if your thyroid's off a lot of little things that probably bug you are due to that.

Ok ladies - the beta came in at 1600. which is good. because this means that my doubling time stayed at 48 hours. so i was ve ry happy with that. my doc on teh other hand still sounded very cautious - the level is obviously low for how far along i am supposed to be - but since i started very low - tehre is really no way for it to be higher at this point. as far as i am concerned it did what it was supposed to do - contunued to double every 48 hours for a week.

so the next visit is friday and its U/S. so looking for the correct structure developments and heartbeat at that point.

so on one hand i am relieved that my beta coninued to grow. on teh other hand i am still sad that it is so low. i hope hope hope we will see the right stuff on friday.

Lyd - CONGRATS!!! Excellent beta ~ you are right where you are supposed to be with that 48 doubling time So excited for you and I hope the next 4 days goes quickly so you can get an up-close look at your little bean

Lyd10: Im really glad the beta doubled. I hear your caution and you are right, it never seems to end. But I'm sending you tonnes and tonnes of positive vibes and perhaps you have a little one who is going to be a long distance athlete rather than a sprinter

Lauren ~ Thanks for the congrats. I am taking endometrin, I am just concerned because of my m/c. I shared my concerns with my RE and we are going to retest on Wednesday.

LYD10 ~ Congratulations on the doubling beta, the worry never ends. Praying Friday continues to bring you good news.

Ninde ~ Yosemite is so magical, we were married there during winter and I couldn't image being anymore perfect. How are you feeling?

Mandarae ~ I always have a low follie count, and the cut off at my clinic is less than 3 to continue to ER. When will you trigger?

AFM ~ Even though this has been my strongest beta, still very worried about the low progesterone. Taking it one day at a time, praying for a doubling beta and higher progesterone level on Wednesday.

nicksgam- Congrats on the BFP! I understand your concern...could you double up on the Endometrin? Everything crossed for a doubling BETA & a great progesterone level on Wednesday.

Lauren- Thanks! Haha...I wish there was a way to enjoy the 2ww...it's torture & I'm only on the 1st day, lol!

mandarae- I'm so sorry...that's not the news you want to hear. But, I agree w/ your RE. All it takes is 1 & yes, I have heard of women having a low repsonse & proceeding to get a BFP. Please let us know know how Wednesday's appointment goes.

Chris- Thanks girl! Maybe I will go in the am. I didn't realize I'd get the results the same day if I drew blood in the am.

NancyB- Thanks for checking in on me! No frosties for us I'll probably go in the am for b/w. If I do that, I guess I'll probably get my results that same day.

MadameX- Congrats on starting Follistim!

AFM- The 2ww is TORTURE...UGH!!! It's only the 1st day! I'm trying to keep up my PMA since this entire cycle has been going so good. But (there is always a BUT in IVF), I got a call from embryology...none made it to freeze I don't know what that means. I just hope that the 2 that were transferred yesterday are the 2 strong ones that will give me a BFP! I know what we transferred was a "little behind" w/ 1 being an early blast & 1 being at the stage between a morula & an early blast (it was compacted). I know just a few hours could make a difference, so I'm trying to be positive. I will go in for my BETA on Wednesday, 8.31 in the early morning before school (I can go to Quest) & hopefully, the results will be faxed to my clinic that day since the paperwork says STAT.
