Just spoke to the nurse. My Beta is NEGATIVE. This is bitter sweet for me. At least I can move on. Still waiting for my RE to call me later today to discuss all of the other questions and concerns I have. On my cell right now. Will post later. Thank you all for your love and support.

Sorry, was having problems posting earlier. My beta was 114, which is strong, but we were hoping for higher. I'm excited though that it is strong. We have beta #2 Tuesday and then they will schedule the ultrasound for 2 weeks later. Gotta run, lots to do! Everyone has a great one!

WeHaveHope - Such good news. Now we can move forward. Let's get goin'!!

22years - 5 is great! Quality not quantity! Fingers crossed for tomorrow

LYD - oh honey. I'm so sorry. What happens from here? I'm here for you.

nicksgam - it's so hard questioning all symptoms and lack thereof. Hang in there. So soon!

MadameX - so soon! I did have an inconclusive result the last cycle. We froze the embryo, but I have no idea what to do from here. The lab strongly suggests not transferring her (it's a female). I'm going to look into retesting the embryo, but I don't think it's possible.

Laura - WOOHOO!!!!!

Ester - still staying away from HPT's??

AFM - starting stims tonight! Got my box and it's SO OVERWHELMING. I'll be on 300 Gonal-f and 225 Menopur. Sounds like a lot, but I guess I don't respond well, so... Also, I'm super annoyed at my RE's office. I switched RE's within the office and his nurses are stupid. She says she's just "more mellow," but I think she's a lazy *****. She made me feel high-maintenance and uptight just because I wanted a calendar. She claimed that, "Many patients get overwhelmed if you tell them more than one step ahead." Well, I was only calling to tell her that she has to order my meds because I get them overnight. #1. This is the next step and #2. Why am I calling you to tell you to order my meds. AAAAAAAHHHHHH. Also, she hadn't even called the NJ lab to tell them that I'd be using them again for my PGD. She claims that she didn't need to even though the lab had specifically told me to give them a warning when I'm starting stims so they can get my probe out and ready. She also told me that they were short-staffed because one of the 3 nurses had a family emergency and the other in on maternity leave. **** OFF. I don't care what nurse is where and especially don't give a shit if she's on maternity leave. Tell your sob story to someone else, you stupid *****. Do your job. I might switch back. Ah, that felt good. Thanks.

Lauren319-Goog for you. Some people have no common sense. I agree, you should not tell patients ever ever ever that you are short staffed and that this is why things didn't get done. It's not your job to care about what is going on in that office. It's their job to make sure it gets done. Obviosly this nurse needs some major costumer service training. You can tell that I am a nurse and I am absolutely all about the patient being #1 and feeling like they are my only patient. Who do these people think they are??! Ahhhhhh!!! I am glad you were able to get things resolved. Your going to have to realy keep tabs on these people. Even if you become a pest. Who cares. This is all about you!!! Great job for letting her have it. Vent all you want, you deserve it.

hi guys - i am waiting on the results of the beta b/w today and then doc will talk to me again. he seemed very confused and i am confused as well. he mentioned the possibility of an ectopic again. but they didnt see it on the u/s - so i am really confused why he would think its an ectopic. but mainly i am just kind of confused by his demeanor - he seemed confused. anyway - i'll know more in a couple of hours. i was prepared for empty sac - but not for another ectopic. and frankly if it is ectopic than its probably time to change clinics - because embryo placement is key to avoid ectopics from what i can tell.

anyway.... i hate being confused. but he will call soon with b/w results and we will discuss next steps.

Lydia: Ugh. So sorry...and as I've said before, confusion and not knowing for sure one way or the other is THE WORST. So sorry you are going through this. ((HUGS)) My first RE was very well-respected where I live. However, I was horribly overstimulated (requiring hospitalization and life-threatening) PLUS I was pregnant ectopically with TWINS. WTH?!? We swiftly left that clinic. Anyway, hon, I feel your pain...I have been through beta hell being ectopic....and beta hell leading to no HB...I hope that you get some answers soon. Lots and lots of (((HUGS)))

Lauren319: WTH?! A calendar is STANDARD. I have been to 4 different clinics and always--even for IUI---gotten a friggin calendar. Sure, things change but at least you have some base to go from. Sorry she gave you a hard time--but I am sure you are a good self-advocate and can get what you need. VENT away!! Me? Thanks for asking...I doubt you want to listen to me whine about my discomforts (of which there are many). I know I am blessed---but carrying twins especially at my old age isn't an easy task! I have gotten as big as a cow and ache head to toe. That is the short answer. But happy to be doing it! Likely 10 weeks or so left...I can hang in there!

Awww you guys just brightened my night...I love seeing familar faces on this board! :D 8) :) :P

JenMink, Welcome Back girl, I've missed you too!

RioGirl, Thank you for sprinkling babydust on us, I do believe it's going to make just the right potion of magical difference!

Anton, Please tell you are only gone temporally because you are on the beach getting some R&R or finallly planning that dream wedding?

WeHaveHope, Glad you got the beta results back today and can now get everything started!

Lyd10, I am truly sorry about today's beta. Maybe like you mentioned it might be time to change clinics all depending...

AFM: I'm torn about what to do, love my boutique job but my boss is offering me a step up into management (which requires more operational duties) but will not tell me how much of a pay raise, she said that comes from corporate. My thoughts are why take a promotion if you don't know how much of a pay raise you are getting? I don't work for peanuts and where I am now in commision sales I have the potential to earn more then management...AND I can make all my doctor appts without too much of a hassle. So anyway as much as I long for more responsibilites, maybe I should really consider! Anyway, I kept my cell phone in my pocket the whole afternoon hoping to hear back from my clinic about my thyroid levels, maybe on Monday? But for now, I'm dropping everything and going to celebrate with my dh our 12th anniversary! :D

hi guys - well i spoke with the doc again and my beta came in at 3000 today. which means that rate of growth is slowing down from 2 day doubling to 4 day doubling, which makes sense with the pregnancy being non-viable. he wants me to continue with progesterone through tue and come in for u/s then. but we are not holding out much hope. just dont want to regret later pulling the plug. frankly later i felt i should have asked him what are the chances of this being viable and why bother with progesterone anymore. but whatever - i guess few more days of waiting wont make a difference.

the doc doesnt seem to think its an ectopic anymore. which is good - because if this was an ectopic i would be switching doctors. ectopics have to do with embryo placement - and if he cant place them properly then i'll find someone who can. one ectopic i can understand - but 2 - no thank you.

i should have probably insisted on stopping the progesterone today but i didnt think quick enough so i guess i will stop it on wednesday morning after we confirm on tuesday that my sac is still terribly behind. and now with the beta growth slowing there is no way to catch up really.

oh well - now i am just hoping that after i stop the progesterone and my AF shows up, my beta comes down without any drama - because i just cant handle the thought of another ectopic. and switching to a new clinic would be a pain in the neck, too. my current team guys know me pretty well and i really do feel we are just one good cycle away from getting pregnant. we just need to put more embryos in and of better quality. and not have then up in the tubes!

i think on tuesday i'll talk to my doc with regard to next steps and if he feels comfortable with how he places the embryos in my uterus and not giving me ectopics in the future. he is a really nice man with low ego - so i feel comfortable having this conversation with him.

Hi Ladies!

Real quick, since it's 12:45 am and I need to get to bed because.... tomorrow is retrieval day!! I'm excited and nervous and hoping that I end up with at least a few good eggs :) And since I live in NY I'm really nervous about my embies, but RE assured me that everything will be ok. Keeping my fingers crossed.
