manda,
I heard about Hurricane Irene and NYC shutting down the transit system (just to prepare) on yesterday's news. Glad your doctor is keeping your embibabies in a nice and safe lab and but very soon they will be coming home to you! :D

Got my fertilization report. Out of the 5 they were able to do icsi to 4 and out of the 4, 3 fertilized. We go in bright and earlier Monday morning for a 3 day transfer as of right now they will put all 3 back in because I am 39. Hopefully one of those little beans stick :D

Sunshine , hard decision especially if your current job is flexible for ivf now and ob appts and baby soon! And weird she wont tell you how much. I hope you make the right decision whatever that may be! Were you waiting for some lab results?

Lyd so sorry, at least i am glad no ectopic, did he mention d&c or methotraxate? Good luck hun

Lauren319 , girl i missed your posts so much, you always made me lmao! I agree that your nurse is a lazy a** for not giving you a calendar, are you kidding me? You are paying and deserve the service no matter how many people they have. The nerve! I hope you got it all ready to go, the baby in the box sure is intimidating, fingers crossed for wonderful pgd results for your embies and a huge bfp!

Hi ladies, Hope you all are resting and enjoying your weekend. :) Lyd- I am so sorry for everything you are going through and all the confusion. I pray you get the answers soon. Hugs. Sunshine- Nice offer but, more responsibilities are not always worth the pay. It's good your thinking this one through. Margi- My sister was on bed rest the last few months of her pregnancy. You poor thing- hang in there and twins, how exciting!! Do you know the sex yet?? Lauren319- I have a feeling you are excellent at advocating for yourself and telling the lazy nurse how its going to be!! Make her work! Nicksgam- that's exciting to tell family- right!? My family keeps calling with updates and stories of when my mom and sisters were pregnant lol. AFM: I'm excited for my appt on Tues and praying to hear a good strong heartbeat. The Doc was pretty confident that we should hear and see sac/yolk/hb by 7th week so, fingers crossed. We did tell family this past Tues- lots of tears and excitement. I'm feeling good, no puking- thank God, just every now and then a little nauseous. And today is one of those days but, just taking it easy. Baby Dust and well wishes to you all. :)

Happy Saturday Girls,

Lyd—I am so sorry to hear about what you are going through. You seem so strong! With you determination I know you will have a BFP in the near future!

We- So happy for you that your beta is negiitve; this is just one step closer to your BFP!

LauraN- Congrats on your BFP beta!

Prayers- Can’t wait to hear about your u/s on Tuesday! How exciting that you shared all this with your family. So happy for you!

Lauren319 – If I were you I would need to vent all that too!! How did your stims go last night? I looked into the inconclusive stuff since I had three last time. I also have one on ice. I guess they can thaw and re-test and prepare for a FET two days after. I am thinking that has to be one strong embie!! Hopefully I won’t have to worry about that anytime soon though. If I get anymore this time around I guess they will put them on ice as well.

Ninde- Glad you are feeling better!

Sunshine—I am sure you are going to make the best decision with work that is best for you and it will work out whatever you decide. How was your Anniversary?

Madarae—How was your ER?

22yearslater—Good luck with your ET on Monday. You will PUPO in no time!!

AFM: Still stimming along…. Very tired today. Went in this morning for b/w and an u/s. My RE said everything looks real good and she measured 8 follies on my right. Didn’t tell me about my left. Looking at ER on Wednesday. I have to go back on Monday morning.

So tonight I have the bachelorette party for that wedding I am in. 24 girls heading for a night out on the town!!! We are meeting a local winery for some vino and snacks and then the limo is picking us all up there at 8. How am I going to explain not drinking??? Not that I am a huge party animal, but I would usually have a few on a girls night out, especially in this type of situation…… this is going to be one interesting night!!!

Have a good rest of the weekend ladies, I’m off to beautify myself, even thinking some false lashes ( if I can get them on) I have to have some type of distraction from my bloatation!!

Lauren, us too here in CT! We've got flashlights, candles, batteries, water, non-perishable food, etc. Filling up the tub later, so if we lose power, we can flush the toilet using the water in the tub. I showered; DH is going to shower. We are pretty much preparing to be out of power for an indefinite amount of time.

I'm supposed to start my 1st day at school on Monday, but it might get cancelled. I teach in a town right on the water...I can walk 2 blocks down to the beach from my school. I have a feeling it's going to be bad there. The town I live in, which is not on the water, already canceled teachers' 1st day on Monday.

Going to make chicken salad...

Stay safe everyone!

Hi All-

Egg retrieval went much better than expected! I am happy to say that they got 4 eggs! I know that normally 4 is not a great number, but considering the fact that 3 follies has been the number for the last week- 1 extra is fantastic! So now I sit and wait. The clinic is going to be closed since it's in Manhattan, but there are still going to be minimal staff there to give us the fert report some time tomorrow. I feel a little guilty about expecting people to go to work in a hurricane, but Im already feeling very protective of my embabies. ET will most likely be a 3 day transfer on Tuesday.

Lauren- I am about 90 minutes north of NYC. Stay safe and Good luck to you and others that are on the East Coast!

WE- congrats on your negative beta! Now you can get back to business!

Madame- Great job on 8 follies so far! Wednesday will be here before you know it.

22years- Good luck on Monday!! You are one day ahead of me!

Ninde- How are you feeling??

LYD- Thinking about you. Hoping y ou will get the answers you need.

Sunshine- Thanks for thinking of me. Hope your anniversary was everything you wanted it to be. The job thing is tough, but I'm sure you will make the right decision. Good Luck.

Lauren319- Hope your stimming is going well. Those nurses are working for you so keep it up girl!

Have a great night and stay safe!

Margie - thank you for stalking! you know there is a silver lining to this unfortunate outcome - and that is - i get a chance at twins on my next cycle!!!!! i am really going to take an aggressive approach going forward. basically my embryo cohorts usually have 4-5 normal embryos and 3-5 slow ones. so this time around i am going to push to transfer all the normal ones - that's only 4 or 5 embryos to transfer. and with my experience up to now i would get only a single embryo to work out of that group of 5. so while 5 sounds scary at my age and with our sperm quality - it gives us a chance at one.

my DS came from a cohort of 5 good embies. the other 4 failed. my ectopic - lets call it a success just in the wrong place - came from a cohort of 5 embies. so i am running 1 out of 5. lets hope i get 5 good ones again this time.

now i just need to decide if i am going to do a fresh transfer or a frozen transfer. i dont have any frozens but i am considering freezing my embies and transferring later. i have a feeling that my uterus lining gets corrupted by the stimms and becomes unreceptive. and my embies freeze well so there doesnt seem to be a downside to doing a frozen transfer 8 weeks after retrieval - except for more wait which i hate of course.
i am discussing this with my embryologist right now and will come to a decision soon.

Thinking of you ladies up North this weekend as you board up and prepare for the storm, I couldn't even imagine what that would be like, but I hope you and all your loved ones stay safe and have plenty of shelter.

Anniversary is continuing on through Sunday so I decided. We took our 4 legged children with us today out on the water and it was so much fun. Definately planning a trip out to Shell Island tomorrow ( lol more intimate) with a little picnic around sunset. Everyday with him is treasured, honestly it really doesn't feel like it's been twelve years that we've been married. :D I don't know how he managed to put with my crap for so long, it must not be easy but he is my "better half".

Hello ladies

Lyd— it sounds like you have a really good plan and know whats going on. Thats surely got to be half the battle. But how are you feeling?
We- How was your weekend now your beta is back at zero?
Prayers- how is the sickness today?
Lauren: How is the power - did it go yet?
Moorebaby: you sound incredibly prepared! Have you been as badly hit as expected - having said that if you have no power you won't be able to see this post!
Sunshine— Your plan for your picnic sounds just lovely :)
Madarae—Your ER sounds great - I'm really pleased for you.
22yearslater—Good luck for tomorrow :)
Madame x: How was the bachelorette party? Anyone ask any awkward questions about your not drinking?
I'm really sorry if I've forgotten anyone.

Afm: Another bad headache yesterday. I'm not sure if its the progesterone. All i can do I think is to increase my water intake and hope for the best. I've spent most of the weekend writing a presentation for October on "happiness - an essential tool in self care." Its for a group of educators and social workers and therapists. I thought I would be cutting edge and try something new - now I wish I had stuck to my old positive psychology stuff - its so much easier! However, the first draft is done so now dinner and a movie :)

Keep well and to all in the eye of the storm, stay safe.

6dp5dt...Shouldn't I be having some symptoms...even 1, lol? Well, last time it didn't work I started getting brown discharge when I wiped in the evening of 6dp5dt & it got worse & worse & went from brown to red throughout the next 3 days up to my BFN. So, if that starts to happen in the next few days, it's probably a negative for me.

I'm still being optimstic & trying to stay positive.

P.S. The storm is pretty much out of CT. A lot of the state got pounded, especially the coast. We are about 30 minutes away from the coast, so we were ok; although, some parts of our town have major flooding & power outages. We got lucky as far as the area of town we're in. Hope everyone else who has had to endure the storm is doing fine.
