New HPT

Post by to_have_fun08 »

wonder how accurate it is. If anyone uses one of these let us know.. pretty expensive so if it were me i would use a cheap test to get my first positive and then this test to test later on.

Chris - that is soooo interesting. Something else for us all to obsess over! :D

I know you can buy 10, 25, and 50 iu/ml tests quite cheaply (I get mine on ebay - about 50 tests for $10 - because I'm an obsessive POASer) -- but I've never seen tests for sale commercially that have a threshold higher than 50 (why would you want one - since you would have to wait longer to find out you are pregnant). This is such an interesting idea.

I know there are tests out there that will tell you approximately how many weeks post-conception you are (digital tests) and I assume they do that based on the amount of hCG in your urine.

I'm intrigued --- but not enough to spend $20 on a pee stick! Us IVFers usually get beta blood draws to track our hCG levels!

when i first started my IVF journey I was saying that I'd love to have one of these! It is particularly nice for those who obsessively test and cash pay for blood tests!!
Me/DH 36

TTC since 2008 only one spontaneous in 2012
Ivf 1-1/2009 DS

yeah, i paid out of pocket, i believe $40 dollars a pop to do my last 3 blood test. My RE's office only does two test so for $20 it might help the obsessive peeps. I haven't heard of the ones that will tell you how far along you are. So much HPT fun.
