Hello all,

So we're cycling again. This will be our last chance so hoping that this is it!

It's so great to see so many familiar names on the board. And it's not great to see you too. Wish you were all on the pregnant board. And it's great to see new names as well.

We had a white knight (dame I guess in this case) donate money to us to let us try one more time. How do I ever say thank you?? We've decided to use donor eggs so that it will increase our chances. No one knows why it hasn't worked yet and genetics don't mean anything to us, so we decided to take the egg factor out of the equation. We're doing a shared cycle with another couple so we'll split the eggs that the donor creates and go from there.

Our expected retrieval date is Sept. 13, with a transfer on the 16th. I went in for a lining check on Friday and all is good. Just waiting to hear how the eggs are growing and how many we'll get. Hoping for a huge amount (adkelp any egg producing dust you can spread our way???).

I'm in school and have been all summer and starting back again tomorrow and am going to be super busy. Hoping that will help take my mind off of the obsessing.

So sorry to hear about all of your losses as well. Such strength we all have to continue on this journey. We must be crazy but in a way that only we would understand.

Looking forward to journeying with all of you,
Indigo

Greetings everyone!! I hope that you have all had a wonderful day. I had to work, but my day was not that bad. I had a great productive weekend :o , lots of cleaning. Got my patio all situated after the hurricane - it was mess!! Laundry out of the way. Didn't make it to church, it was family Sunday and they wanted everyone to come with their family and stay for the family picnic and since DH is still in Kuwait it would have been just me ... very depressing. It is not soo bad when he is here because we are our own little unit, but when I am there alone and see all the couples with children I feel kinda glum. I pray God understands :? .

Indigo - How blessed you are to have this opportunity!! I hope that you get your BFP this time around!! You are right, there is some madness involved with the sacrifices we make for the love of a child. Other than the financial investment, we put our bodies through hell and back - over and over again. What gets us through is the love of our DHs and the support we give one another here on this board. The 16th is right around the corner!!

Leora - I am so excited that you get to gear up for another cycle!!! I have been thinking of you all day. October 25th will be here soon!! I know it is great to have a plan in place. The thought of them making you wait was crazy, I am so glad that your RE has some sense!

WeHaveHope - I hate Lupron. I am so grateful that my RE decided to forgo the Lupron this time around. Hoping that you are not too miserable.

Anton - Have I said how great it is to have you on the boards?! You give such great encouragement and have a wonderful spirit. You and WeHaveHope are my champions!! I know how it is to be without DH. Mine is in Kuwait until the end of the month and I miss him terribly. It really does make you appreciate them more and keeps a spark in the relationship. The saying "absence make the heart grow fonder" is soo true. I find that we are s o much more tolerable of one another after he has been away. Glad you came to a decision about the Coca Cola offer. It is fortunate that you had someone to give you the dirt on the place before you accepted their offer. I hope that something turns up soon.

Tamera - Like you, I am hopeful for this group this time around. This is such a great group of women that I just know we have to have our BFPs soon. Those of us who have been through failed cycles have no choice than to get back up, to give up means to lose hope on realizing our dream and that is just not an option. Like everyone else I cannot imagine that I will not be a mother in my lifetime. That is not even a possibility.

Fruit - Any word hun?? I am thinking of you!!

Well ladies, time for me to start getting myself together for work tomorrow. I hope you all have a great evening!!

Hi ladies,
Quick question that I would like to run by you ladies. As all of you know I suffered a MC a little over a month ago. The bleeding from the MC only lasted one day. I presumably had my AF a few weeks later and I recall it being quite heavy and painful. It lasted about 7 days and then stopped. However, I have been, I guess spotting, on and off since then. I've gone from very dark brown discharge to pink discharge to red discharge. Sorry for TMI. I would call it discharge because I don't really even think you would consider it spotting. I am worried now because I have been on the Lupron for a week and I am still on the extra week of BCP's but still experiencing the discharge as I discribed above. My last BCP will be on the September 7th. I am due to have my blood work and Ultrasound on September 12th with or without AF but at this point I think it's going to be difficult for me to even identify the first day of my cycle (AF) because of the continued bloody discharge. I guess I should be able to identy AF once the flow actually starts (so day 2 or 3). I will call my RE tomorrow but has anyone experience anything like this before? Should I be worried that my uterus may not be ready to start this next cycle? I appreciate any feedback you ladies may have. Thank you as always.

Hello!

I know some of you, some names are new :D

My history is in my signature. I am starting IVF #4 in September with a retrieval in October. We are not transferring fresh, instead we are freezing what we have and transferring in Nov/Dec. Historically I have only gotten pregnant off an FET, Fresh have always been BFN. We did PGD with our last cycle, transferred 2 girls and got a BFN :( We are trying to decide whether to do PGD again or just try our luck. We have 3 frozen embabies right now- 2 from an old clinc and from my 1st fresh cycle a few years ago, and then 1 little boy embabie from my last fresh w/PGD.

I am excited to cycle with all of you! I will probably be behind the pack and last to transfer but its great to get back on a board and share success' with wonderful girls!!

Waiting for AF which should be around September 12th... SO in the meantime a little AF dance for me! LOL

Hi Jen - i am also deliberating whether to freeze and transfer later. i also have a feeling like my FETs have been better than my fresh ones. did the doc give back you up on your decision? why do you think you'll have a better chance with FET transfer? i am still torn. my doc says they'll do whatever i want but they say as long as my estrogen is not too high than there should be no difference. so i am torn - i sort of dont want to wait another 6 weeks till transfer but then again i also want it to work. so i will wait and decide after the retrieval. you can see from my signature that fresh transfers have not been good to me - one bfn and one ectopic. frozen i've had one pregnancy, one chemical and one bfn. so i dont know if i should do fresh or frozen. i am torn. was curious what your doc thought. i was told that my embryos freeze well. so it doesnt hurt to do a frozen transfer. urgh, decisions, decisions. i probably should do a frozen transfer to maximize my chances.

LYD, hi my friend! It's been a while since we cycled together.

My RE really didn't give me advice either way, but he did say that some woman have better success with FET than Fresh. My FET in Nov-2010 was a BFP that turned to Chemical  My two Fresh cycles have been a 0 Beta-- total BFN's. Due to that he supports my decision to freeze the embies and transfer 6 weeks later. As tough as it is to freeze them and wait... I think it's going to bring me my rainbow baby. I have such a strong sense that I am doing the right thing, I can't explain it.

Based on your signature I am thinking it might be something to consider for yourself too! Sometimes a retrieval is just so hard on a body that a pregnancy wont happen. I am also going to start a Fertlity Diet in a few days and try meditation and acupuncture again. The one time I did acupuncture I got a BFP so idk if that helps or not?

Thank you Maria for adding me to the board and Roll call! I am excited to be on a list again! This board has some MAJOR good vibes going on, I can totally feel it!!!

Hello to all my old friends! I see so many I know on here, it's nice to see you all again.

Jen and Lyd - I have the opposite issue -- I ALWAYS get pregnant on fresh cycles and NEVER on FETs. My doctors say that sometimes women have the opposite issue (like you two) and they can freeze them all and let your body 'rest' from the fresh cycle before transferring. Nothing they can do for me though (they won't stim me just to transfer a frostie!). Apparently, there can be reasons why frozen work when fresh don't, but not the opposite way - so for me, they think it was just luck (ie, I got pregnant 50% of the time, just happened to be on the 3 fresh and not the 3 frozen).

AFM - I did my blood draw today. I had an u/s yesterday to check what my crazy, messed-up cycle was doing and I had no follicles (so not ovulating) and my lining was 7mm (not so thin, but not so thick). I was waiting on the blood test results to see if I should start Provera to get a period (so I can do a HSG and start BCP to get ready for my FET in October). BUUUTTTTT - my hormone levels are super low. They are surprised I *don't* have a period considering how low my E2, LH and progesterone are. Hmmm.... I'm waiting for the doctor to call me back with what to do (I spoke to a nurse).

Things are always more complicated than they appear! :D

My doctor called me back - false alarm! He says it's fine that my hormone levels are so low - I can do the 5 days of Provera to bring on my period. Great! I scheduled my HSG for Sept 27 at 730am (hopefully CD 14ish, which is late in the cycle for a HSG, but since I won't be ovulating/getting pregnant on the BCP and that is the only appt they have available, I'll take it!).
