If you are saying 12-13 days past retrieval you are at the point where you would first start seeing a line and it wouldn't be late implantation, at all. Typically the embryos are put back at 3 or 5 days past retrieval and you would see the 2nd line at 7-8 days post transfer. This would be 10-13 days past retrieval. The hgc should be well out of your system by now, so it looks like you have a BFP!! Congratulations and keep us posted!

i dont think you can predict misscariage based on when teh line shoes up. i wouldnt worry. wait till your beta and see how it doubles and grows. that's the only way to tell. congrats on getting a BFP!

12-13 days post retrieval is normal for your first + HPT. Is not probably not a late implanter at all! Congrats!

slntbob- i am so sorry. maybe it can still work out. i know of two women on this board that had babies from betas of 20 or 30.
i also just had 2 ivf cycles that started with low betas. and in one case it was an ectopic. and in another case it was a chemical. sorry to bring bad news. but maybe yours will be fast rising and will result in a h/b and a baby. it does happen sometimes.

i know - its really hard. i also have 1 child from ivf #2 and am fighting the "ivf fight" to give him a sibling. getting ready for my #6 cycle and so far i've had 1 ectopic, 1 bfn and 1 chemical following my DS. never thought it would be this hard to get pregnant again. oh well.... i think i'll try 2 more times before calling it quits alltogether.

good luck!!!

My beta on my 1st successful IVF cycle was 31. And that was from a 5 day transfer. It can happen! :D
