Hey Bliss- Can't wait for the big reveal on tuesday!

AFM-- very excited just made a purchase on Etsy of two cute little photo prop newborn outfits for my little bean. Hopefully we'll have our act together and get newborn pics done this time. I was too stress out with #1 to pull those off, but all these cute babe pictures is inspiring me :) I bought a little pumpkin cocoon thing with matching pumpkin stem hat and a cute little crochet newsboy hat with matching crocheted diaper cover. Now I just need to figure out how anne geddes gets those babies to sleep in all those funny positions!

Ryann - love the outfits wish it was a little warmer here to do that too, Lizzy is so bundled up!

Stephanie - Lizzy is following Jaxon's footsteps and got old man bald head going with hair in the middle, how long did it take to grow back?

Bliss - can't wait!

Mellow - wooohooo for taking Marlo home!!!!!

Blair - hope all is good keep us posted

Ashley - thinking of your niece

Lou - glad to hear grnadpa is better, hope you are too!

SD - we will need to see those pics! I am dying to meet your LO but not too soon! Are you having BH?

Lizzy got a bad case of baby acne, anyone have that happen? Her scapl is dry and she lost some hair already. Of course she is still gorgeous :) but I would like to get rid of the dry skin that comes with acne and the dry scalp. Any suggestions? Still got some stitches coming out, unreal!

Blair- It's good to hear from you. Take it easy and pray them babies stay in you for a long time and the contractions get under control so they don't shorten your uterus anymore.

Stephanie and Ryann- Your babies are so cute and so photogenic. I just love looking at your pictures!

Riogrl-I actually dont' have experience with baby acne. Hopefully someone can chime in. How are you feeling?

Karin-So sorry about the new birthmark scaring you. Glad the doctors are going to keep an eye out. And you are so right about always something new to worry about.

Blissful-Argh I missed the Target sale. I love them. Can't wait to hear how your scan goes and especially for tomorrow to happen so we can hear the sex after you guys do the big reveal.

Lou-Don't those darn washers just break down at the worst times?? Funny story my son actually called me last week as he's doing laundry at my Mother's house rather than campus and goes Mom I dont; know how to use these old fashion washer machines can you help me out and ask me where the dials needed to be.

AFM: My trip to Maine went well. Ty did show up at my Mom's Friday night and had a barbecue with us and then I took him to do some shopping for things he needed and he even spent time with me on Saturday. I think living on campus has been so good for him. He's become more social and doing sports and realizing he's good at them. So happy to see him doing things other then video games. On another note I'm exhausted from shopping, apple picking and visiting everyone. I also came home to find the df hadn't done a thing around the house that he was supposed to and my hormones got the better of me. Oh ya lost it on him and you should have seen how fast he ate his dinner I brought home for him and got moving. (though he took 5 million breaks to watch football) So I spent 5 hours helping move Angela's room over to the front room. Still need to build a new closet in that room on Saturday as they had torn it down a few years ago as we were building an addition but that isn't happening anytime soon. (contractors house is never finished;) So baby room is now empty and thankfully we have a friend who's a painter who is painting the baby's room as his gift to us and that will be done Tuesday. Pretty sad when I'm 23 weeks pregnant and can get more accomplished then the df or his Father. It causes me too much stress and I'm going away the weekend of the 24th for work to Orlando for 4 days and come back and on that Saturday my entire family is coming in to stay at my house for my baby shower. My Mother, My Aunt or my Grandmother have never been to my place because my Mother doesnt like driving into Boston because she can't parellel park even though I told her to drive up and I can park her car. :( But thankfully my Aunt offered to drive them so she would come. Nice for them to visit me since I've been there for 7 years;) ok enough venting.

Happy Monday :)

Brooke had baby acne and dry/oily scalp w/ flakes. What I did was to wipe her cheeks and rub her head with a baby wipe when I was changing her. My logic was that the wipes were made for her skin and wouldn't irritate her. It worked, her acne cleared up and her scalp is much better. Brooke was oily in addition to being dry - how that works is unknown to me but it happened.

Blair: Glad that you and the girls are hanging in there. I am sure it is no fun being in the hospital...hope that you have some good things to read and do to keep your mind occupied.

Ryann: The munchkins are adorable! I could eat them up!

Stephanie: LOVE the shot of Jaxon...so happy!!!

Alisa: Enjoy your anatomy scan....it is really nice to see your LO for such a long time on u/s...and of course we are all excited with you to hear results of your gender reveal tomorrow.

Lou: So glad that your grandfather is doing better and able to go home. Sorry to hear about the washer breakdown, but sounds like you have an awesome new machine that will be great for washing Chloe’s clothes! :-)

SD: Outfit sounds adorable! And I always wondered the same thing about getting the babies asleep in those poses...if you figure it out let me know!

Rio: Sorry about Lizzy’s acne, but I am sure she is still gorgeous. And what is with your stitches? Did OB say they will just work there way out? Nothing they are going to do?! That sounds so painful...

Kat: Wow. I am so jealous of all of your energy! I got tired just reading about your trip and then cleanup on return. 4 day work trip coming up too?! You poor dear! I hope that the shower will be a great time for you to relax and enjoy family and just focus on LO.

AFM: Sigh. Trip to L&D last night. Saturday night I couldn’t sleep with back pain (not unusual) but also a lot of BH’s. Ones that were keeping me awake and coming fairly frequently. I toughed it out ...took a long shower at 5 am and then finally slept for a few hours. When I got up on Sunday I took it easy--well, sorta. Did some laundry and a few things around the house. Drank lots of water and tried to lie down as much as possible, but they were still coming. They weren’t painful, but because they were still so often we decided to go in.

I was worried they would think I was a “ninny”, but now I am glad that we went in. They were very nice and said they never minded checking things out..especially with twins. They hooked me up to machines and sure enough I was contracting every 8-10 minutes. Lo’s HB’s were great and responsive. They gave me a bag of IV fluids and some Procardia for the contractions. They didn’t measure how long my cervix was, but she did a manual check and I am a fingertip dilated (1/2 of a cm? Or 1 cm?) and 30% effaced. She said that isn’t too uncommon with twins, but still, wasn’t what I was hoping to hear as we are just nearing 30 weeks. The good news is they did the fFN test and it was negative. Nurse said that gives us at least 7-10 days (hopefully a lot more!) The doctor considered keeping me overnight as my uterus was still very “irritable” but the contractions were less regular so she let me go home. I am on bed rest until my MFM/OB appt tomorrow to make sure there are no more cervical changes.
Sorry for the long post. This morning I am feeling exhausted, nauseous, still contracting and threw up terrible (sorry for TMI). I am guessing from the Procardia maybe?

And poor DH. :( Today is his birthday. So much for the homemade coconut/carrot cake he loves that I was going to make. :( And obviously I can't take him out to dinner either. Sigh. He is understanding, but I feel badly about it.

Blair- I hope things are still under control. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Keep those little ones baking. Stay resting! Sorry about the headaches with the medication- just what you didnt need.

Lou- Sorry to hear about all the addition stress in your life. I thought our washer was going to die but it just acted up. Try and enjoy your tome off work. I know it is hard to stop but enjoy the rest you can get. I wish i had more, but i also thought i had a lot more time!

Rio- oh i am so sorry and mad that you are stll dealing with those stitches. I agree the doc should have listen better, they would have atleast validated your concerns earlier. I get to try and breastfeed ella today. I only have done her once last week but then they held it because she was getting too tired. Hunter has been once a day. They do well for being so little. My milk is finally coming in better and i am producing enough for almost all their feedings!

Ashley- glad you found your duola! I am so sad to hear about Your niece. I pray and hope for a miracle for her. Also your friend's husband. That is a lot of stress for you.

Kat- Glad you had a good visit to maine and with your son. My dh and i have planned several trips up their and acadia but we have never made it. Hopefully some family trip down the line. Sorry you Dh is not getting more done for you. Hopefully your melt down keeps him in gear. Good luck with you glucose and urine tests coming up.

Margi- So sorry about your scare. I am so glad you went to l&d. Rest and keep those little ones baking. I am so much more nervous for you twin mommies after my experience. I will be praying for you as well. Good luck tomorrow. I hope you get some good pictures. Wish dh happy birthday. Im sure the health of you and the babies is the best gift you can give him.

Bliss- god luck with anatomy scan. Cant wait to hear results!

Stephanie- love the pics of your boys. I still can not beleive how big they are. What great smiles.

Ryann- i love all your pics. Thry are so cute and i love all the little outfits you have.

Mello- YAY and congrats! Mighty Miss Marlo makes it home! I am so happy for you!

SD- the outfits sound adorable!

Barbara- Brooke is so cute! Love the pic!

AFM- babies are still in transitionl nicu. Both are doing great. Ella almost ready to go home and hopefully hunter can catch up today ot tomorrow so i can take them home together on wednesday! Otherwise Ella home tomorrow. I am doing good. DH and I had last romantic night out last night. Well between 4 and 8 o'clock cares. It was very nice. Looking forward to babies comng home. Dont know what i am in for but it will be wonderful! Hope to post pics soon.

HI All...

Blair --Hope you are doing well and hanging in there.

Margi -- I'm so sorry to hear about your L&D visit. I hope those babies stay in a lot longer too!

SD -- The outfits you bought sound really cute! Can't wait to see the pics with your little one in them.

Bliss -- You must be bursting with excitement for your reveal tomorrow!

KJM -- So glad the babies are doing well! Awesome you'll all be home together on Wednesday!

Kat -- Glad your Maine trip went well. Haha... funny your son couldn't use the "old-fashioned" washer! I have to read the damn manual for the digital one I just got! He should come over and show me how to use it.

Rio -- I'm doing pretty well, thanks. Grandpa is home but see's the GI specialist tomorrow. So sorry about your stitches! How frustrating for you.

AFM -- I know I didn't get to everyone but I'm really tired as I couldn't sleep last night and I had to get up at 5:30AM to go to the hospital for blood work and to drop off my 24 hr urine (woo hoo!) before my OB appt today. Chloé is doing well. My BP was 142/84... not great, but hey, I'll take it! And she has turned Right Occiput Anterior... much better than posterior. Let's hope she stays! I'm getting huge. I honestly don't know how much more I can stretch. I wanted to be able to look back and see what my body looked like, so yesterday I took my 35 week pics in a swimsuit. How brave is that! Here's my ginormous tummy!

Lou, you look fantastic! Your little passenger should be dropping any day now. When they drop, it's such a relief - you can breath better, your belly size seems to get a bit smaller, there are less rib kicks and they tend to stay fixed in that spot until birth.

Lou- You and your little belly look absolutely great!!! Your belly looks like its still in perfect condition! Hopefully your little girl will start dropping soon so you can get ready to meet her.

Kjm- Glad to hear Ella and Hunter are doing well in the transitional nursery. My fingers and toes are crossed that you get to bring them both home together on Wednesday. Also glad you and DH had a romantic night- Im sure it was good to feel close again. Post pics of those little ones whenever you can.

Margi- Sorry to hear you ended up in L&D the other night…I know its not too fun. Hopefully your LO’s were more cooperative than mine have been with the monitoring. Its good to hear that the fFN test came back negative- so hopefully you don’t dilate and those little ones stay in for awhile longer. As for the Procardia I have heard it can make you feel kind of blah- but hopefully it gets better for you.

Mellow- Congrats!!!!! SOoooo exciting to hear that Marlo finally got to come home with you.

Stephanie- I love the new pics- those boys are getting so big!! Keep posting pics whenever you can.

Ryann- The pics of those little ones are too cute. Are you getting anxious about going back to work soon?

Kat- Glad your trip to Maine went well. Sorry to hear DH is still not doing much to help…but make sure you don’t overdo things!! You definitely don’t want to end up stuck in bed or in the hospital from trying to get too much accomplished.

Alisa- So excited and anxious for your anatomy scan!!! I cant wait until you can finally go out and stock up on all the blue or pink (of course getting UK gear either way). Glad to hear things are going well with you.

AFM- Finally got the computer set up so I could actually respond to everyone. Today was Day 6 in the hospital (counting wed as day 1- even though it was a ½ day it seemed like more than a full days worth). Trying to get into the swing of hanging out in bed 23+ hrs a day. Between TV, magazines, and games it still gets relatively boring. But no matter how miserable I get I would much rather be stuck in bed at the hospital for 2+ mths than my girls be in the NICU for months on end. Just hoping they decide that staying in would be the best bet. All the nurses know me already since the girls seem to be troublemakers who don’t like to stay on the monitor for the amount of time they are supposed to. Will catch up again tomorrow. Hope everyone is doing well.

Thanks everyone for the thoughts and prayers for my niece. We are really hoping for a miracle as well. Only 2 weeks away till her surgery :?

Blair - so glad they're keeping a close watch on you. You have such positive way of thinking, and I truly admire that about you. :)

Lou - you look fabulous, girl! Rock out that bikini with that gorgeous belly of yours!

KJM - such fantastic news that you'll get to bring your babies home soon! :) Hope you truly enjoyed that "last romantic night" with your hubby! You'll be a fantastic mommy and I know you'll manage them just fine!

Margi - I'm glad you were able to get yourself checked out. Hope you get to bake those darlings in there a bit (a lot) longer! Happy Birthday to your DH. I'm sure he'd much rather have healthy babies than to party it up on his birthday.

Rio - good luck with trying to get rid of Lizzy's dry skin and acne. I'm sure she looks just as gorgeous with or without acne. Wish I could offer you some advice..

Kat - you can vent all you want; we're here to listen :) Glad to hear that you were able to meet up with Ty and spend some quality time with him. Yay for getting started on the baby's room.. that's always exciting!

SD - looking forward to seeing those pics even though it still may take some time! :)

Bliss - how did your anatomy scan go? Can't wait to find out which team you're on! :P

Ryann & Steph - TOO cute pics of your babies!! Love em!

AFM - It's DH and my 3-year the-day-we-met anniversary! :) Can't believe in the last 3 years, we met, got together, got engaged few months later, got married 11 months ago, and now on the verge of bringing a life into this world! My, how time flies.

So.. I think I dropped 3 days ago. I'm waddling now, but boy, is it easier breathing! What does lightening mean at 34 weeks? Is my baby girl planning to make her debut soon? Hopefully not before 37 weeks! I cried my eyes out to finally have DH help me out with the nursery and we worked on it all day yesterday! It looks more like a nursery now, and I love visiting her room every so often during the day :) My third trimester nausea is getting a bit annoying, however. I even threw up while driving the other day. Luckily, there was a Styrofoam cup nearby and I could throw up in there (sorry, TMI). And while I was waiting at DMV today, I had to rush out of there because I started seeing dark spots and feeling so dizzy and nauseous. It's scary being out there all alone now. I'm sure the TX heat hasn't helped much, although it has been getting cooler. Oh well, just a few more weeks to go! :D

Margi...thinking of you and praying they stay cooking!

Blair...so good to hear from you! Although it wasn't hospital bedrest, I did spend 3 months on bedrest. Boring as all hell, but so worth it. There were days I got so mad that I didn't get to be one of those pregnant ladies out showing off my growing belly and I would just cry. My best advice to you is to let yourself cry. Don't hold it in and dont try to be super woman. If you're sad/frustrated....let it out! And remember-we are always here for you!!!

Rio...I read somewhere that rubbing breast milk on baby acne clears it right up. I have no personal experience, but worth a shot? As for the dry scalp I got nothin!!!! I'm sure she's gorgeous! I want more pics of those beautiful kids of yours!

Lou...awesome belly shot!

Ashley...happy 3 years meeting anniversary! DH and I met 21 years ago, but just celebrated our 5 year dating anniversary and will be married 2 years in December...time sure does fly! I am keeping your niece in my prayers. Please remind me before her surgery and I will light my candle. Not much left of the candle, but I turn to it in times of great need and leave it lit for just a bit. I've actually lit it for a few of these ladies (including you Blair and margi!). And I believe in miracles, so hopefully there is one waiting for her.

I'm going off of memory, so sorry for the ladies I've missed!

Afm...down to ONE middle of the night feeding!!!! That's right, just one! They go down around 8pm, we do a dreamfeed around 10pm, they wake up fOr a bottle around 1am and then wake up at 6am. I actually experimented and found out they don't actually need to eat when they were waking at 4, so after 2 nights of some smuggles and a pack at 4am, it's now gone!!! I read BabyWise, and while I know there's a ton of cOntroversy on it, if you use common sense there's a lot of good stuff in there.

I go back to wOrk on Monday. I'm anxious and excited at the same time. I feel like I'm gonna miss so much with my babies, but I have so many days off as a teacher that I know I'll be ok.

We removed the crib bumper tonight. Brooke is way too mobile now, she rolls around. Reports of crib safety say that crib bumpers are not safe so we took it out.
