Happy Monday everyone! Went for another progesterone test this morning to see if I can finally stop taking Endometrin. Here's hoping! Our next ultrasound is Thursday, and it cannot get here soon enough. Anyone else get all paranoid that something happened and the pregnancy is already lost, and you just don't know it yet? *sigh* At least I'm not as neurotic as I was during my first pregnancy!

nicksgam - I too had a C-section with my daughter and will have another C-section with this one. BUT give it a lot of thought. There are doctors out there who will not do a VBAC, so if you decide to go that route, find a doctor who will. They are out there! I have read stories of women who had a successful VBAC, so don't let anyone tell you it can't be done.

My employer knew from the beginning that we were doing an FET. I'm having fun not telling my students yet though and am not going to. I'm not showing at all yet, but I can't wait for one of them to be bold enough to ask me if I'm getting fat or am pregnant when I do start to show. I wonder how long it will take them. Teenagers. LOVE EM!!!

Hi ladies, hope your week started off well . Thanks for the info about the BOB... This baby is our first, so we have nothing and will be looking for the best of everything on a very tight budget... Welcome Nicks. Dogz- I'm only 8 weeks so not showing or anything but I'm a teacher too and I know that day will come when the students will ask lol . I haven't told work but, a work friend invited me out for drinks for my b-day and when I declined several days in a row he asked if I was preggo and I told him. But, I clearly told him that I didn't want word spread yet and that I wanted to wait. I'm thinking I'll share in another few weeks maybe... Ttcb- Glad your appt went well. Blissful- great story and nice pic... Halfway- awesome! I met my DH when I was 18. We worked together at a mortgage company. I just graduated HS and DH was 5 years older than I. We dated 5 years before we got married and we have been married 10. This little one has been a long time waiting and us both are the babies in our families. We are so blessed .

Two quick and WONDERFUL updates...

1) I hit the "send" button last night on the GSRBM (graduate school of retail bank mgt) paper that I have spent over 3 months and countless brain cells to complete. Such a relief! Now my attention is all on baby, baby, baby in my time off from work. Starting tonight with the big reveal.

2) Our baby... Whatever the gender may be...is perfect! Final risk of downs came in at 1 in 22,000! He or she was active and beautiful. I can't wait for tonight!

Went in to see dr. today due to continued upset stomach, continued lack of sleep with lower back pain and severe leg cramps. Thankfully I was not having any contractions as they thought that the back pain might have been. My cervix was long, closed and "like a vault". Im on a liquid diet for 2 days til I shake this bug, plus was ordered to take a benadryl today when I got home and to go to bed (slept 2-6) and then take another at bedtime tonight. I am so exhausted, feel like a zombie. Hopefully I will be rested and back to work in the am. They told me to go ahead and plan on being taken out of work in 2wks (24wks preg) and that they will not let me deliver after 38 wks, which is the last wk of Dec.... so looks like a 2011 baby! I only wish to make it that far!

So here is the skinny...We were kind of leaning toward a boy but we are both THRILLED to be welcoming our little Evelyn to our family. Like DH said..."every Daddy needs his princess." We picked the name Evelyn a long time ago and are now officially hard at work picking out her middle name. Daddy is cracking me up...he is already worrying about her in a different way than he would a boy. He's gonna be a great Daddy.

If you are thinking about a gender reveal, I highly recommend it. We can't imagine doing it any other way and laid in bed last night soaking it in. It was just our immediate families and they were so thrilled and excited about it. Yesterday was so much fun! And I just love being able to call her by name!

Dallas- I hope you will still hang with us 2012 girls!!! Hope you feel better soon...

Bliss - Congrats on having a girl....daddy's & their little girls is a special bond and it will be fun for you to watch! And congrats on your test coming out A-OK now you can take a deep breath & relax!

Deft - Congrats on having a boy!!! We sort of wanted a boy this time around but we are thrilled with healthy baby so whatever we get we get....our anatomy scan is on the 22nd and I have been having dreams that the tech was wrong and we are having a boy!!!

Dallas - Happy your cervix is like a vault! That is the way we want it to stay until they are cooked & ready for the world!

My DH and I met skiing of all things....I live in Park City Utah and have since 1994 and my DH came for a ski vacation in April of 2002 from Atlanta and he was meeting up with a friend of mine who he knew in Atlanta and she invited me....we were inseparable the whole time he was here I cried when he left (and so did he but he would never admit it!) and we talked on the phone incessantly to the tune of a $1200 phone bill! Before unlimited minutes on cell phones! Then he started flying me to Atlanta and he came here and in October 2002 he moved to Park City for good....we have never looked back and have always looked forward to our next adventure!

Sorry I have been sort of MIA....I have a toddler getting 2 year molars....not a fun time in anyones lives but we only have two left to come in so we can see the light at the end of the tunnel! Our anatomy scan is on the 22nd and we are praying for healthy all around....since our birth mom is only 29 we don't have to do any other tests and it is her choice not ours we can suggest but she doesn't have too.....she has a very low risk of downs & trisomy but I still wonder...either way little Olivia is coming home with us either in our hearts or our arms.....

Signed up for a mommy bootcamp it kicks my butt all over the place but with three weddings coming up I want to look good! So off to bootcamp...catch up later

Alisa: so cute! I really wanted to wait until this weekend to find out the baby's gender, but with the testing so up in the air and so many unknowns about baby's health, I just caved and needed to know something concrete . . . but I can still share with my family this weekend =) Shhhhhh . . . don't tell I already know

Katie: I hear ya on the teething . . . so hard!

AFM: opted out of amnio . . . chances of down's are now 1:200, so is the chance of a m/c with amnio . . . we had a great NT u/s and blood work . . . great anatomy scan too . . . the bloodwork on the 2nd trimester just came out a little weird . . . my HCG levels are running high . . . I've done a lot of research and i hope the reason is that I am just pre-disposed to making more HCG than other women . . . could be pre-eclampisa, placental issues, etc. I also have an anterior placenta, which can make an amnio more challenging . . . fears are settling down and I'm getting back to enjoying my pregnancy =)

Mora- Conrats on team blue!!! I won't tell anyone!. I'm so sorry about all of your stress. It sounds like the chances are very low, so I'm glad you can enjoy your pregnancy now!

Ttcnb- I told my work folks befor my transfer because I took time off for bed rest. Not a lot of surprise, but it made things easier.

Katie- Sorry about the teething I'm sure Olivia will come home very healthy and happy!

Dogzrule- Any word on your progesterone? I am supposed to stop my PIO this week, but they aren't checking my level. Maybe I should call and ask them to check it.

Prayersnpies and nicksgam- Glad to hear your beans are doing well!

AFM- I don't think I checked in after my last U/S. We saw 2 healthy beans with great heartbeats! Next U/S is in a week. If all is well I get to go to my OB from then on I will miss my RE though!
I met my DH when I was a freshman and he was a junior in college. We lived in the same dorm. We started dating after the Christmas break, and have been together ever since then
Quick question- does anyone have a home Doppler? We were looking at them, and DH says they are about $600. Has anyone found a cheaper one? Thanks for your help!

Wishingandhoping- I have one I got from EBay for $60. It has been picking up a clear HB since 14 weeks. It's not as good as the one you get at the Docs, but it does the trick. The heart rate is never accurate, but I don't care because I can count it myself easily enough. The brand I chose was the Sonoline B 3 mhz. It was recommended by another lady on the board. I know another lady who rented one of the more expensive brands which is another option. I LOVE having my own.
