Thanks everyone. We were kind of leaning toward a boy but we are both THRILLED to be welcoming our little Evelyn to our family. Like DH said..."every Daddy needs his princess." We picked the name Evelyn a long time ago and are now officially hard at work picking out her middle name. Daddy is cracking me up...he is already worrying about her in a different way than he would a boy. He's gonna be a great Daddy. If you haven't ever done a gender reveal and ever have the opportunity to do it in the future, I highly recommend it. We can't imagine doing it any other way. It was just our immediate families and they were so thrilled and excited about it. Yesterday was so much fun! And I just love being able to call her by name!

Ryann- so sweet that you and DH were middle school sweethearts. He is going to have to explain to my DH how to rig that system because I would love to check in on Evie when I'm traveling. How nice to have that kind of expertise at home!

Kat- that is sooo cute! We were going to go with a nautical theme if Evelyn had turned out to be "West". There is an adorable crib bedding set on Pottery Barn Kids that I had my eye on. You should check it out. Oops...just re-read your post and noticed you already have your bedding. Oh well. Love the theme!!!

Blair- you can have some of the 20 plus pounds I have gained!!! Thanks for the update. Chow down girly! I can't wait to shop for little Wildcat cheer outfits. And BTW- ordered an adorable maternity shirt that says "Future Wildcat" the other day. We have a collegiate event at work at the end of this month and I am looking forward to showing it off.

Ashley- Sounds like DH is trying to support in his own way. Maybe the procrastination is a way for him to express his natural fear about this major life change. I am sure he will come around. Sorry its stressing you out and hurting you. Proud to be on Team Pink with you!

Have a terrific day ladies. I took the day off from work to get the house ready to be gutted on Monday. We are getting rid of almost everything in a garage sale Saturday. Fun stuff! Gotta make room for baby.

Alisa- Love the name Evelyn!! Its so cute how much things change once DH finds out hes going to have a baby girl. My DH was the same way and I can already tell hes going to be super protective and these girls will have him wrapped around their fingers. Glad to hear you got a maternity "future wildcat" shirt. Last wk I was considering getting some fall/winter maternity clothes but now that Im stuck here I may not need any which I guess saves me money. Congrats again though.

Alisa- I love the name Evelyn. It's so pretty. My original bedding I picked out was from Pottry Barn for Kids. It was the sports themed one. But I made the mistake of taking DF into Babies R Us with me and he went around looking at the bedding and got set on the Ahoy Mate one. (which I'm still not sure about) This is his first baby and it's a boy so I figured it was an argument I should just back down on. DF said we could the sports bedding when he got a little older.

Kat-I know exactly which set you are talking about. (sorry I missed that you already had your bedding...I was transfixed by your border). DH loved the Ahoy Mate bedding too! Its actually what started our nautical idea and then I turned him on to the Pottery Barn set. I think it will be great. It is much more boyish and chic than the Pottery Barn set, especially with the accents you are talking about. I say go bold!

Blair- way to look at the bright side of bed rest. Maternity clothes are fun at first but I am already sick of them!

Bliss - Congrats on Team pink and Evelyn is a cute name. Glad you had a good gender reveal party. I never heard of one of those.

Blair - Sorry that you to be in the hospital and on bed rest. Sure that it has to be very boring but at least you are in the best spot for those little ones and have the best care.

Lou - You look awesome. Are you enjoying not working now?

All the baby pics are adorable. Is Lou up next?

AFM - I really don't have much going on. Feel like my belly has gotten gigantic in the last week or so. Ob says i am measuring 2 weeks ahead which is no big deal. Last u/s @ 29 weeks showed baby was frank breech and weight around 3lbs 2 oz so hopefully he turns around before he has no room to turn around. Finally picked out my bedding. We are going with Pooh Day at the Park. When we went through our first full IVF cycle, to keep myself busy we painted the babies room green. At the time thought i would do frogs and turtles. Guess i should have waited because now i didn't want to do frogs and turtles. We are running out of time now so DH doesn't want to repaint the room so i am stuck with our light green color. I had a hard time trying to find the bedding I that i liked that would match the green. I have always love Pooh and tigger so this one works for me. Go for another OB appointment next Friday, then i guess i start my bi-weekly NST's. So much fun, can't believe I only have 9 weeks left.

Being still in house arrest I have been taping all kinds of shows and watching too much TV while lying down to recover! SO I taped a few bringing home baby and multiples. Every time I see a csec scene I cry like a baby thinking of mine and hearing that first cry and waiting for the apgar score then seeing the babies go away to nursery while you get sewn up! So yesterday I watched a bringing home quadruplets! They did IVF and first attempt negative and second was 4 babies! She already had two boys 6ish and 7. Wow can you imagine having 4 newborns! I felt like such a loser since I get overwhelmed with a toddler, newborn and two large dogs while she was dealing with 4 newborns!!! ;)

Bliss - congrats on a gorgeous little princess, you and DH look so happy!

Sweetpea - love the nursery colors and combo!

Lou - I got some 9 mo bikini pics too, you look great, great memories

Blair - have hubby get ou some yummy stuff, glad the girls are ok

SD - Ihear ya on the controversyand you are right that it takes a while to tune in to hunger clues vs toot clues or colic...

Ryann - I think you had good points, I also had to learn that Lizzy cries and then goes right back to sleep when she has toots or poops, so I wait one or two minutes to see what she needs so I don't wake her up with no need. I was wondering what a "pack" was! I put her down next to me and she dozes off well without having a paci or being patted but she looks at me and sees me and dozes off. With DS he would only sleep with lots of patting so I am trying to have Lizzy not get used to it early of course I do it a little here and there but mostly she likes feelingmy arm next to her and dozes off, funny how each baby is so different and as a mom you can do the same thng with completely different results!

I saw a book at Borders online that made me laugh "Why pregnancy sucks and how to deal when your miracle makes you miserable"

Bliss - congrats on team pink and hello Evelyn! The cake looked great.

Kat - love the room. I think it looks great.

Blair- Glad to hear things are still going good. Sorry the food is so terrible. My hospital actually had some pretty good food - esp breakfast - not that it helps you. DH will have to be making lots of trips for you.

Rio - I hope you are feeling better and the incision is starting to get better. Do you know if all the stitches have come out or will they?

AFM - They babies are home!!! They came home today. they are napping like little angels right now. They weight 4#1ounce and 4#5ounces. Hunter still looks so tiny. I am going to take some pictures that can be attached later today when they are awake and will post.

SD...no offense taken at all. I thought I stated that I still very much feed my babies when they are hungry and do NOT watch the clock. Which, to me, is still demand feeding, I just make sure they are actually hungry before sticking a bottle in their mouth. I wouldn't do anything that could possibly malnourish or dehydrate my babies....which by their chubbiness and WET diapers I know I'm accomplishing :)

Yes Ryann you did make it clear that you are indeed demand feeding and you have two cute little ones to prove it ;)

SD....I actually hadn't heard of the book Babywise until Ryann mentioned it. I did read that it was controversial. As Ryann said before, everyone should use common sense when using the techniques. I do know what my babies hunger cues are and they are hungry little guys. Although at night, I did just assume that they were hungry when they woke and would just grab a bottle or boob and feed them so that we could all go back to sleep. I did try the paci for one feeding the other night and they went back to sleep for an hour. Then they woke again hungry and of course, I fed them. I haven't gotten the book yet and will try to read it (if I get time) and try to take some good points they may work for my boys. Actually just in the past 2 days, they have stretched out their feedings to 2 1/2-3 hours.....which for them is good. Maybe we're turning a corner and the book will not be needed after all.

Ryann......thanks for the advice. I completely got what you were saying. You're a good mom and I think that sharing experiences and learning from each other is a wonderful thing! :D

Karin- I couldn't agree more that sharing tips with each other is what makes this board work and would never want to discourage anyone from doing so, I hope my comments were not viewed as doing so. I know you and Ryann are both fantastic mommies. And goodness knows longer sleep and happy/healthy babies is a fantastic combination!! I hope my little one gets some good long stretches early on too!!

Brooke has been sleeping from 8pm-5am for weeks now. I'm not sure why... I don't know that we did anything special to cause her to do that but we're happy that she sleeps good. Her stomach isn't huge - her biggest feed is only 4oz and she eats on demand. I can tell the difference between her food cry and her cries for other needs and I feed her when she asks. During the day, she takes little naps but nothing huge.

I'm fairly convinced that she's just a good sleeper and it's not related to anything specific that we do. She just started waking up for food further and further apart until she got to this point. She's in the 80th percentile for weight and 65th for length so we're not concerned about her going a long span without eating as long as it's what she wants to do.
