Deft and Bliss - Congrats on the reveal. How exciting to finally know

Katie - I love your drive to be active. I am only hoping I can get there after having these babies. It's been such a long time since I was commited to a really healthy lifestyle that I am pretty determined to do something about it and feel good about the way I look again.

Wishing - I have to stay on the PIO and estrogen through week 12---UGH!! I have to admit I am ready to be done with the shots.

Katie- I positively loved the story about DH. I think long distance romance success stories are so great! Sorry to hear about Em and the molars. Hopefully it will pass soon.

Wishing- congrats on graduation!

Mora- you are too funny! I don't think I could have waited as long as you had planned either. I only had to wait one night and in that one night I found myself trying to think of ways to break into the bakery! :-) I think your reasoning makes a ton of sense. And for the record...I think your little man will be just fine. Prayers and love to you! Good luck trying to fake it this weekend with the family. I don't think I could have faked it. I would bust out laughing right before the reveal I think.

I finally broke down and purchased my 2 cribs today. Im not sure what I was waiting on. I have had a hard time narrowing down the style I wanted and I wasnt too excited about the $$ involved either. But its inevitable that they were needed! I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my chest!!!

How fun Dallas!!! I know its hard to spend the dough, but its done. Now you can enjoy prepping that adorable nursery! What are the cribs like? What are your plans?

AFM- our remodel starts Monday. We have to be out of the house for 8 weeks!!! We will be staying with my inlaws. Crazy right? The good news is that the inlaws will be in Cali for 6 of those weeks visiting my SIL who is due to deliver her first any day now. I keep telling myself its worth it for a walk in closet and a master bath... :-) As a result of the remodel our BIG yard sale is tomorrow. Its a lot of work but its also sort of fun. I could care less about the money, I just want everything to GO! The money and negotiating just makes it that much more enjoyable. Hope you are all well and have already started enjoying your weekend.

My progesterone came back at 23, so they had me go down to twice a day for this week and my last day is Sunday. Yay! On a scary note, we had our 10 week u/s yesterday, and they thought they saw what could be gastroschitis (where the intestines are outside the little one's body). They sent us over for a high resolution u/s. I was so sick with worry that I was exhausted but could not sleep. Got the call from the doctor who reviewed the scans and he does not think there is any major defect. He said it is possible that it could be what my doctor suspected but he finds it unlikey. In any case, we go back for another high resolution scan in 6 weeks. *sigh* The good news is that if it does turn out to be the case, it is correctable right after birth, but there are NICU issues, etc. Really praying it really is nothing!

Dallas - congrats on purchasing your cribs! I now it was a lot of money, but now you have one of the most important items your LOs need.

Bliss - I wish we could have a garage sale! Our association has an annual one each year the first week of June and we aren't allowed to have one of our own. We didn't have our act together in time to participate in this year's sale, maybe next year. I bet we will just donate most of the stuff.

Dogz - congrats on being almost done with your meds!! That is a good sign that the doc doesn't think he saw anything on the high res u/s. With all of this advanced technology they seem to be able to spot things really early that usually resolves itself in a few weeks. So hopefully whatever they saw at the 10 week u/s really was nothing.

AFM - what a crazy week! DH had to go to the ER due to some horrible back pain, but he's ok now. I was sent home from work because I tested positive for Strep Throat (thanks DH! hehe) and on Friday I took my dog in to the Vet so she could have a toe amputated since they think she has cancer in that toe. The Vet called me at noon saying he has a really bad eye infection and can't do the surgery, so we had to reschedule for Tues. So now I have my monthly OB visit, GD test, and dog's toe amputation scheduled for Tuesday. Fun times! On a brighter note, last weekend my parents took DH and I crib shopping. They wanted to purchase the crib for us and we went to the same furniture store where they bought the cribs for my brother and me. Of course the crib we liked takes about 10-12 weeks to come in so we had to order it right then. So if he decides to come early, I guess we are going to make the most of his pack n' play.

Addy- Just reading everything you have to do makes me tired!!! I'm so sorry that your dog has to have a toe amputated, but if that gets rid of cancer, it sounds like a great plan! Congrats on getting the crib ordered!

Dogzrule- I'm so sorry about your scare. It sounds like the high resolution ultrasound was very reassuring, and I'm so glad.

Alisa- Moving in with the in-laws for 8 weeks! Wow! I'm sure that's a challenge, but it sounds like you have a great relationship with them! If they're out of town for 6 weeks, it certainly will be manageable. That master bath will be worth every moment living with the in-laws!

Dallas- Congrats on the cribs! I don't know when to order furniture. I hate to order too early, but then it really needs to be here when the babies come! I'm curious what pieces you ordered since you are a fellow twin mama!

AFM- I had a little scare yesterday with some spotting. The upside was that I was able to get another look at my babies this morning. They both look great, and there is no real concern about the bleeding. My placenta is over my cervix right now, but they expect that will fix itself over time. It's amazing how quickly these babies grow!!! :D

Wishing-I went ahead and got my pieces bc the dr told me that I can expect to deliver anytime between Thanksgiving and Christmas..... which really isnt that long since Oct is creeping up on us! I wanted to go ahead and start getting organized. Still dont have all of my bedding yet, need to complete the sets and get their little names monogrammed on them ( whenever we decide on names, lol). In their room we have 2 cribs, changing table, one side table next to the glider, chest of drawers ,and also a hope chest that I put cushions on top that can double as a seat (my husband made this for me for our anniv this yr).

Hope this helps!

So my favorite story about DH and this pregnancy happened at our 12 week OB visit. I have given Bill a little bit of a hard time for not reading the books I have given him and for not having questions about the baby or the pregnancy when we are at the doctor's office. I know...guys just don't worry and invest like we do. But I still like to coach him a little bit on making the effort. Add to that fact that he REALLY struggles with the OB visits anyway (even when we aren't doing a pelvic exam) and the poor guy I think is under a lot of pressure whenever we go to our appointments. (As an aside...he loses all the color in his face whenever we do a pelvic exam...I have NO IDEA how he will make it through the delivery).

So anyway...at our 12 week appointment at the end the Doctor asked me if we had any more questions and I said "I am all set...but Bill do you have any questions...???"

Bill thought about it for a minute, shook his head yes and then said "Yeah...are you having a good summer Doc?".

Lol...at least its something! I love him. :D

I had my monthly OB appt today, I go back in one month and then I start going every two weeks. That is such an exciting milestone! Hopefully I passed the GD test. I assume I will find out tomorrow. Question for you ladies, how are the scales in your doctors office? I feel like my weight never makes sense, it is either way high or shows hardly any weight gain. I don't weigh myself at home because I want to see that high number as little as possible :)

Yay Addy! That is a big milestone. And the best part is your baby is developed enough to be viable.

I'm with you on the scales. I seem to fluctuate a lot more at the OB than at home. I think it's because I weigh myself at the same time at home everyday and before I have any food or water. At the OB it varies so much. The time of day is always different, what I'm wearing is different, even how recently I've gone to the bathroom can make a small difference. So that's probably part of it. But I've also read that it's normal for weight gain to come in spurts. As long as you are averaging the right amount you should be fine.

That makes complete sense bliss, thanks!

I just got my GD test results back and I passed!! Yay so happy. Although my blood work shows I am a little bit anemic. I have been taking an iron supplement for the last few months, I guess that wasn't enough.

Hello fellow preggos! I had my 1st trimester screening today. This is new, and they say it makes the 2nd trimester screening more accurate. Didn't have this with my daughter two years ago! However, you don't get the results with this first one because it is not used until it's put together with the next one. At least we will have some confirmation about the suspected gastroschesis in just over a month! Hope everyone is feeling wonderful and having an uneventful pregnancy. :D

Dogs: is the the Nuchal Translucency u/s with bloodwork? I did that, integrated with second semester b/w only . . . u/s is very cool . . . a little strssful becasue they are checking for down's, but still very cool to see the little peanut . . .

Addy: glad you passed the test =) I only get weighed at the OB office . . .

Bliss: cute story =)

AFM: feeling better about the increased risk results from our bloodwork . . . did a lot of interent research and came across a lot of studies that show higher false positives rates, especially in the second trimester b/w, with IVF pregnancies . . . also read a few stories on women on this forum who had similar tests to me and everything worked out ok =) As for stories, DH and I met on . . . Myspace! I saw his profile, thought he was cute, and totally hit on him . . . luckily, he took the bait and we've been together for 7 years =) As for a cute story, DD points to my belly and says, "baby." but she also pints to DH's belly and her own belly and says, "baby." :D
