LYD10, So glad you are putting this behind you and moving forward. For me it took only a week after the D&c procedure and it was a light flow.

AFM: Tonight I accepted the promotion into management and before I accepted it my boss agreed to my upcoming fertility appointments. Plus I have tomorrow off so we can make it to church in the morning, so happy b/c I haven't been in so long! AF is scheduled to come tomorrow and by now I'm usually having pms with those headaches and backpain but tonight I'm not feeling any of that, maybe the thyroid med is finally kicking in... :D

Blessed - welcome! Congrats on your baby boy. We are doing a FET also.

Jen - LOVE the picture! You guys are so good looking!

Lydia - I'm glad the D&C went well. They did it while you were awake? Weird - when I had my D&C, I was put under general anesthesia. When is your next blood test? I've heard that AF comes 2 weeks after your beta gets to zero. Mine never came, so I did Provera.

Antonia - I really do hope we get to celebrate the day we bring home a baby --- but I'm starting to doubt more and more that it will actually happen. :( Sorry that job you wanted pays so little. I'm job searching too and it sucks so much! I'm sooooo not in the mood to deal with this now! --- I'm sorry your husband is feeling so sad. I know that right now, I'm the sad one and it's killing my husband to see me this way. We were at friends yesterday and I watched him play with their month old daughter and just can't stand that we don't have a child of our own. It's so heartbreaking....

Indigo - I'm so sorry. In a way, it's easier that the decision was made for you, but it's so hard to have only a single embryo to transfer. Do they know why the donor responded less than expected? I hope this little embryo becomes your baby. Congrats on being PUPO

akdelp - YAY! So glad to hear that your lining is so fantastic! Good luck with the FET!

Kamina - 10 years - wow. That's intense. We've been doing this for 3.5 years and I'm already going nuts. I hope this once finally works for you! I really hated that SATC movie (I was a fan of the show for years). I just hated that their communication was so terrible. The whole 'leaving at the alter' thing that causes them to break up for the whole movie could have been soooo easily avoided. Grrr!

Maria - my AF is gone too - hurray! I hate having to remember to bring personal hygiene items with me everywhere, I hate when I stain my clothes, I hate the cramps and the mess -- thank goodness it's over! (of course, I'll have to have another one in a few weeks, but after BCP, it's a lot better!) I have also opted to do PIO for some of my cycles - but I think I'll stick with suppositories this time. It's not an easy choice! The PIO hurt a bit, but the suppositories are so messy and unpredictable.

Felicia - hurry for your ET being so soon! I'm sorry your hubby will be away. Mine was gone for my first IVF (basic training - ugh) and it was so stressful. Kuwait is right near me! *waves* but I can never go there because I'm half-Israeli (how stupid...) -- Vacation sounds great!

Christy- congrats on a promotion! Maybe send some 'job dust' over my way :D

AFM - eh. Very eh.

Everyone in my life (seriously, everyone!) is having babies. It's really hard. Watching DH play with our friends little girl just broke my heart.

I'm so stressed out. UGH. I'm not in the mood to job search...

Tomorrow marks 2 months since our boys were born. Time is going so fast and so slow at the same time.

Hi Leora, I am sorry you are having to hang out around so many small babies these days. That's gotta be really hard. My d&c was very quick because my beta only got to 3700. So they only had to remove a small empty sac. I imagine it would have been a lot different after a 10week miscarriage.

Leorira, I can relate to jobs being tough to find, even down here in Fl we have a 12% unemployment rate. With that said I took a new job last Spring that is not near with what I need to be bringing in to pay for my fertility appts and such. But I figured sometimes I have to depend on dh more then I do, it's certainly not an easy thing since we've had to cut back on some things. But at the same time, I am enjoying what I'm doing so much more then banking and it gives me more satisfaction, less stress and I come home in a much better mood. Keep job searching, it may take some time but you will find contentment if you select a career that coorelates with your strongest personal hobbies/interest. :D

Thanks We, I have a good question tonight. Can thyroid med cause your cycle to be thrown off?

Sunshine-the answer is yes. Menstral irregularities is actually one of the common adverse effect of Synthroid or Levothyroxine.

Is everything ok?

Thanks We, just wondering since my cycle was always 28 days apart so it must be the med. causing the irregularity.

No problem. It's my pleasure to be able to help whenever I can. Thanks for asking. I'm doing ok. Spending time with DH this weekend really helped my mood. I had really forgotten how awful my mood is when I'm on the Lupron and Estrogen. FET is getting closer now and I am starting to worry a bit. Nothing in particular is causing me to worry I think it's just that it's getting close. And that we only have two more tries after this next FET. We definantely have decided not to do another fresh cycle. So we have our FET at the end of this month and two more tries and that's it. On one hand I am glad that we have a firm plan. It takes the constant wondering out of that part at least. I'm 37 and DH is 48. Idealy we would like to be pregnant this year but definantely by next year the latest. In addition I became so sick from OHSS that I don't think I could go through that again. It was a very scary time in this journey. On a positive note, I since AF finished, I have not had any more bleeding, spotting, or discharge at all. That a good sign that I was able to get rid of anything that was left overfrom the MC. So hopefully this means that my uterus is getting nice and plump with the Estrogen and will hopefully be ready to receive our two embassies on September 30th.

I am so sorry you are still on this rollercoaster. Did you have an opportunity to talk to your RE about the possibility of a D&C? It's not as bad as you my think and at least it would help you put all if this behind you and help you move on to the next cycle sooner. My Beta took about 5 1/2 weeks to get to zero after the MC. I recall that it came down by half the first two or three Betas but then slowed down a bit and towards the end slowed down a bit more. I think it take another couple of weeks before it gets to zero. I'll be praying for you and praying that your Beta goes down quickly. Sending you a BIG hug.

Lyd10 - Glad to see that you your D&C went well. I want an I-Pad sooo bad. With IVF it is one of the many things we had to put on hold. I am so jealous, my mom's job gave them all I-Pads last year!! I know it is hard to decide how may to transfer - your plan to freeze the remainder sounds like a good one. How many eggs did you get with your past IVF cycles?

Blessed143 - Friday will be here before you know it!! I know how hard the waiting is, I pray for patience and understanding everyday. Once you find that pill that helps us be patient be sure to share it with me! I will add you to my prayer list :P. In terms of FET success rates, I think they are slowly getting close to that of fresh cycles. Everything I have seen says that it varies greatly from center to center, so the thing is to see what your centers rates are rather than general rates nationwide. Some centers have 33% rates while others have 70% success rates. So when you look at national averages those with lower rates bring down the national averages. I will say that my doc feels that women with multiple failures during fresh cycles do much better with FET because their body is in a more natural state and stimming just makes the uterus a difficult environment for implantation. Just think positive and keep praying!!

WeHaveHope - I am glad that you and DH were able to come up with a plan. I just know you will get your BFP with this next transfer. That sucks that you had such a miserable fresh cycle - I can imagine how scary that was. Prayers that your body is getting are geared up for a happy and healthy nine months!!

Leora - Sending tons of hugs. It is so hard to be around babies. The girls I work with all bring their babies in on their lunch break to breastfeed (the company daycare is across the street). It just makes me so depressed I try to stay away. Have you been in touch with your therapist recently? That is crazy that you cannot visit Kuwait. Is it that way with many of the Middle Eastern countries?

Sunshine1576 - That is great about your new job!! Even better that your boss agreed to give you time off for your appointments. That is one less thing to worry about!! Again:
Image

I know what you mean about going to church. I have had to work every Sunday for the last few weeks and really miss going. I will be off next Sunday and I am really looking forward to going to service.

AlwaysAngel - I second We's advice, I would definitely ask your RE about a D&C just so that you can move on. This has to be hard enough without the added stress of it dragging on. Plus I know you want to start getting your gameplan in place. You are in my prayers as well.

AFM - Worked a 12hr shift today so I am exhausted. I am heading to bed, gotta go back to work in the morning. Will check back in tomorrow.

Felicia, wow 12 hours straight! So I'm gathering we have several nurses on here. I know WeHaveHope is into nursing too. Such a high demand for nurses out there, but it's a tough field to get into and I commend anyone who goes into nursing.

We, lol lupron makes us loco-crazy. A FET cycle may jsut be your ticket and I will be cheering you all the way! :D

AFM: Had a nice Sunday with dh, church was just what we both needed, our congregation has really grown but we usually attend the first service too and not the second one. During the church softball league last Spring dh really got to know our pastor, and it's nice to run into at WalMart and he recognizes us, I feel a connection that he understands what we have been through as dh shared with me that that they also had a miscarriage. It's crazy how many people come up to you and share with you their own personal struggle. It's like we have this personal connection that nobody else could possibly begin to understand. Anyway after church today, we had lunch at the Olive Garden, I love their salad and breadsticks we ordered the Tour of Italy perfect for two! :P After lunch I told him I needed to return a shirt I had gotten at Dillards (to make a knockoff in a cuter fabric combined in a zebra pattern camel and chocolate). I quickly learned if you even need to get your husband into a department store tell him you have something to return. He won't shop for himself and it's like breaking a leg to get him to buy a stick of clothing  seriously, I debate with him why he needs this. So after our mini-shopping trip we went home and took an afternoon nap.Two hours later, worked in the garden and I cooked sphagetti (something simple) for dinner and watched an episode of "Breaking Bad" on Netflix. All in all, a fun day and a great way to kick off a new week!

Sorry I have been MIA-- I have been so busy the last couple weeks and DH is out of town leaving me to work and taking care of our toddler who is definitely a "terrible two!" AF finally showed her ugly face yesterday a week later than I thought, so now I will call RE and see if this will push back our transfer. I hope not! I only have one min for a few personals...

Leora- Everytime I read your posts I have tears in my eyes! I know its so hard to keep the positive thoughts especially after what you have been through, but you will get your baby! Being around other babies was one of the hardest things for me when attempting our first IVF.....I avoided it at all costs! I pray for you daily!

Anton- The post about you and your DH brought tears to my eyes. I agree that the fight to have babies isn't worth it if it's not with the man you love. I hope that the two of you draw strength from one another and I hope that he will agree that a baby is worth the pain you are enduring now for a lifetime of love and happiness with the family you will create!

***my sister had a HB at her u/s yesterday at 11weeks....our family has our fingers crossed because she has had 3 m/c before this pregnancy....
