Ghost - spotting on BCP before FET

I'm currently taking BCP to control my unpredictable cycles in anticipation for my FET next month. (I've never had a regular cycle and was diagnosed with anovulatory PCO - but our reasons for IVF is severe male factor). I started the pack of pills on the first day of my period. Today is cycle day 8 and I'm having some spotting. I'm scheduled for pipelle endo biopsies on CD10 and CD21 (not because I need the biopsy but because I'm part of a study to see if it helps increase implantation rates) as well as a HSG on CD14.

Could this spotting be a problem? I will mention to my RE when I go in for the biopsy on Thursday morning.

I doubt it's a problem for your next cycle but it's all up to your RE. You are correct to tell him everything.

Hi Leorira,

I had something similar before my cycle and the RE gave me some estrogen and progesterone to monitor that but that was for my fresh cycle.

I always had spotting on bcp. I also had cramping too. My RE said it was a common reaction. It never affected my cycles. However, I would ask the RE just to be sure.

I'm glad you brought this up. I posted a question about it on our fall board. I've been spotting and bleeding (a full period) since stopping the bcp and starting estrogen.
