Looking for success stories with embryo donor cycles.... DH and I have been through 8 IVF cycles, one with DE and we have one DS from our own third cycle. DH has real problems with morphology and my eggs are bad....so our clinic thinks that embryo donation is the way to go. We are excited and hope to be PUPO Nov 3rd with two little ones...the embryos are the highest quality possible and the donating couple got pregnant with twins on her first try! There are three embryos so we will transfer two and have one left.....we have been through 3 failed adoptions also so we are really hoping that this works to complete our family. But I know FETs are lower success rates....

DS 3rd try
8 failed cycles
No luck with adoption
DS 7/23/14 IUI after Celiac diagnosis
I would love to do an embryo donation cycle...but my clinic keeps telling me that donated embryos are really hard to come by. Was it easy with your clinic? Can you tell me more about the process? How long did it take? Is it anonymous? Costs?
Thanks,
Indigo.

I don't know how often my clinic has donated embryos. This is the second time I have had the opportunity and the first time there were many factors pushing us away and this time everything just seems right. I called my clinic and asked, they just so happened to have three donated embryos. It is completely anonymous, which bothers me a little only for the future of the child and never being able to know where they came from....but other than that, I received only major medical problems ( which is nothing) and an idea of what the couple looks like and there ages. The process is the same as a FET. I start Lupron this Saturday, then normal FET process. The cost is $5,500 but our clinic is pricy and I think most are around 3,000. I feel like this is the best chance I have. You should ask your clinic if they get donations. There is Snowflake too, but it costs like 15,000 to adopt the embryos, and you need to be chosen and have a home study and all that you would need for a adoption, which we have anyway, but cost wise, I couldnt do something so expensive with the success rate not being higher. I hope you get a chance to try it! Good luck to you!

Hi,
This is my very first day in this forum and I noticed an interesting info here. Embryo adoption is an alternative for infertile couples who need egg or sperm donation as one of my friends has adopted it since 6 months ago, and she is in the last (means 9th) month. She is still OK and no negative point came before here still. Also, families who cannot afford the huge fees needed for egg donation may prefer embryo adoption.

Hi,
The clinic by which she adopted embryo cycle had the cost US $ 5000 only. This is all-inclusive and includes all medication costs as well. As an alternative, you can ship the embryos to an IVF clinic of your own choice, in a dry shipper. These embryos will need to be hand-carried..
