Hi All - Hope everyone is doing well tonight we had our 19 week anatomy scan yesterday and all looks good....have to have the final word from the Dr yet but we are pretty confident. Still expecting a girl so we are thrilled about that our due date is still February 14 (Alissa will you adjust this...please ) Can't believe we made it to 19 weeks and everything is OK I would have killed to make it here with a healthy bean! We are thrilled to have two little girls we are still thinking Olivia Kathryn but we haven't made final decision yet. Sounds like everyone else is progressing nicely have a good weekend!

Bliss/Alissa - Love, love love your bedding! I love owls! I am not sure what we are going to do about bedding yet. Since Em is still in her crib & will be when we move her to the new room so she can't escape we want to get new bedding for the new baby but I am still torn on what I want. I love what you said about sisters since I don't have any (2 brothers) and always wanted one I am totally thrilled that my daughter will have one. We are struggling with names too....thinking Olivia, Grace or Lily well at least that is what we are thinking this week??? Thoughts ladies? Hope you all have a great week I am off to NJ for some business on Tuesday and home late Friday night will try to get to you all and see how it's going when I can.

Breastfeeding or bottle? No judging ladies...

I will do what I can when it comes to breastfeeding . . . DD was born a little early and never quite got the grasp of breastfeeding . . . I supplemented with formula from the time that she was born and eventually just pumped until about 5 or 6 months . . . got to be too hard to pump at recess (I'm a teacher), so I just quit pumping . . . I suppose I could have been a little more diligent with the lactation consultants, but honestly, supplementing and pumping worked for me and DD is as healthy as a horse . . . with DS, I plan to do the same thing . . . breast feed if I can, but supplement with formula is it's not working out . . . not going to beat myself up over it . . . plus, it's very nice to have DH help with the feedings if you are using formula! PS: Formula is not rat poison!

I will try with 150% of my power to breastfeed but will ultimately do whatever my baby needs....I had a very difficult time with Em but I did it for 3 months so that is what I am hoping for this time......

Oh Deft I do like Grace.....I like Grace Kathryn.....the name is by far the hardest....I knew Em's name because my Mom had just kicked the big C in the ASS so I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that my baby would be named after her strength but this one is a bit tougher....thinking about it and will come to a decision soon! Landed in NJ.....it is really icky here over cast skies & super humid coming from the west that means a lot to me......Headed west tomorrow will update as I travel.....

Breastfeeding. I breastfed DD for 11 months. I wanted to go to 12, but she quit on me a month early. Boo!

My two cents on breastfeeding. We all know the benefits for the babies, but there are benefits for mommy too. 1. Helps you lose the baby weight 2. Reduces your chances of breast cancer and heart disease. 3. It’s free!!! I was fortunate to be able to produce enough milk to breastfeed DS for the first year of his life and am hoping to do the same for this baby.

Hello ladies! Sorry I have been MIA. I am so tired at night that I can barely eat dinner. I just come home and go to bed pretty much.

Katie- Congrats on a great anatomy scan! I'm sure that you will love having 2 little princesses! I love the name Grace. I can't use it because it's in my niece's name. I really love all of your options though!

Alisa- I really love your bedding! I am Chi Omega, and the owl is our "mascot," so I love all of the owls!

Dogzrule- Sounds like you had a great scan! Excellent news!

EOE- Glad to hear everything is going smoothly. You're all always in my prayers!

AFM- I had my last visit with my RE last Thursday, and my first appt with my OB on Monday. Everything looks good, but I didn't realize that 33 is advanced maternal age with twins! Who knew? My babies were made when I was 32, so technically I'm not AMA, but I thought that was interesting. I had my ultrascreen sonogram yesterday, and everything looks great! Both babies are happy and healthy right now. Nuchal translucency looks good, and their nasal bones apparently look good. I guess I won't know anything more until I get bloodwork. No more ultrasounds until 18 weeks. That's going to be tough! I'm used to an ultrasound just about every week. The RE has really spoiled me
AOTW- I am going to do everything in my power to breastfeed both babies. I expect we'll have to supplement with formula because it's 2 babies, but we'll see!

Wishing- I cant believe your dr makes you wait so long for u/s! I end up getting u/s every 2 wks bc my ob does them each visit and they also send me to another perinatal clinic for specialized u/s / growth scans every 4 wks, so it ends up that I have an appt every 2 wks. If I had to wait that long I would go nuts! But at least everything is looking great your way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AFM - Double digits, holy cow!! I feel like we have so much to do and have barely done anything. I know we have still have time, but I just feel like our To Do list grows a little bit each day. So yesterday I had my first experience with a non-relative putting their hands on my belly. It really made me uncomfortable as I'm sure they could tell from my forced smile. I never thought to put my hands on someone's belly, but I guess some people think that is no big deal.

AOTW - I am planning on breastfeeding, but I hear all these stories of how much it hurts the first few weeks and that is when people usually give up. I am taking a breastfeeding basics class next month where I'm sure they will cover what to do to help with the pain.

Addy ~ Try not to worry so much The pain is dependent on how the bady latches. My DS latched correctly from the start and I never felt any pain. Even if the baby doesn't latch correctly they show you how to latch the baby.
