We- congrats on bringing your little ones home. Fvrogers- what a great day, your long awaited BFP! Also Tess I tested negative with both my girls until 3 days post missed period. Just so you know. I think i'm just a low HCG girl. Hopefully you are too! Happy weekend everyone.

Wehavehope, those were the exact grades of my blasts from my fet this past July. As you can see, all turned out well. :D

Fvrogers, my beta with my DD was 31. And we did not test early. As you can see, that also turned out well. Yay for you!!!!

Thank you all for your continued support, encouragement and well wishes. I am finally awake and have a few minutes for personals.

Kerribell -

Congrats on your upcomming FET. Like WeHaveHope said, they are so much easier both mentally and on your body. November will be here before you know it!!

Dogzrule - Thanks a ton for your encouragement. I really needed to hear you success story!! It makes me feel so much better!

Kat - I know that you can relate to my excitement!! I continue to hope and pray that Oct 3rd brings more good news for us both.

Tess69 - I can only imagine how hard it is dealing with Meckle-Gruber syndrome, especially since it is so rare. We are so blessed to have the PGD option and I actually have IVF to thank for even finding out that DH and I are both carriers. It was only when we went in for our initial IF workup that we realized we were both carrier. I just think that God has such a plan for it all.
In terms of your HPT, please do not lose hope. It is still early. Your beta may just be too low for the HPT to detect. It may be much higher come Monday. Please try to stay positive. I will continue to pray for you. How are you migraines?? My best friend from childhood is pregnant and it has been really hard for me. I have been trying to plan her baby shower and support her. Her pregnancy was not planned and she is not with the father so the situation is not the best. She did not tell me she was pregnant until she was 12 weeks because she was afraid I would be upset after my failed IVF. It was a little weird, but then I realized that from her perspective it had to be hard for her to decide when to tell me.

WeHaveHope - How are you feeling?? Hopefully you are taking it easy Mrs PUPO. Thanks again for your support and prayers. You are awesome and I am constantly praying for your BFP!

Lauren319 - I know right!!! I am still in shock!

Akdelp - Thanks for the encouragement hun. I continue to pray that we both get more good news on Monday!! Have you POAS anymore??

Fruit and LYD10 - Thanks for the continued support ladies.

Blessed143 - Thanks!! I promise the shots get easier as time passes. You learn your techniques and what hurts and what doesn't. It is never pleasant, but it does get better - I promise. Hang in there. Hopefully AF with show soon!!

LauraN - Hopefully AF is right around the corner! It is funny how IVF makes us excited to give ourselves shots  !! But you will be shooting up with the rest of us in no time. I love 80s music too - that is just when music made sense. DH has thousands of songs on his IPod that are all 80s tunes and we constantly play them on shuffle.

Leora - Sounds like you and DH have a good plan. You would hate to rush the FET cycle and not have the time off that you will want or need when your little one comes. 2 weeks is not much time at all. Considering the difference it will make in your leave time it really is a much better option.

Amanda1979 - Your transfer will be here before you know it!! Do not get too worried about the grade of the emrbyos. Keep in mind that if they were not good quality they would not have been frozen in the first place  . FET are so much easier than regular cycles.

Sunshine1576 - How are you feeling? I have not told ANY of my family about my IVF cycles. I love my family dearly but they are very "what will be will be" and believe in just waiting to see what happens. They never quite get the true stress of wanting a child and watching all my cousins and friends raise children who are almost teenagers while I still struggle to have my first!! So DH I and I decided to keep the IVF to ourself. It has made it a hard road since he travels a lot, but I think it is much easier than it would be if they were asking questions and commenting all through the process. Like you, the ladies on this board have been such a source of strength and inspiration.

Kamina - Trasfer is right around the corner! How are you feeling?

AFM - DH and I were on the phone for hours just letting the news sink in. He will be here Sunday so we will be together when we get the Monday beta. I feel so much better knowing that some of you have had success with lower betas. Thanks again!

:D We, your twin emibabies are so beautiful! Congrats on being PUPO, now rest up mama and take it easy, so good that u have the whole weekend off!

Felicia, Congratulations on your pregnancy, it is definately the BEST feeling in the whole world! I love happy endings! :D

Tess, Give it a few more days, We is right sometimes it takes time for the pregnancy to show with the progesterone levels.

AFM: Worn out but in a good way. I got to "play" manager with my manager tonight in her shoes and we laughed alot. Party tomorrow evening at my house, it's my neighbor's bday so we have a cake for him but he doesn't know it's here. Also some of his coworkers are coming, a couple of them play "blue grass" and they are wanting to entertain. lol how country can we get! The AL vs FL football game kicks off at 7 so we'll later on migrate to a neighbors house to watch it on their big screen. I'm making gumbo (got my SIL's family recipe!) and my neighbors will be bringing in different side dishes along with one neighbor making bbq ribs and hotdogs (for the kiddos). I hope to have more lawn chairs, but the weather has really cooled off soooo perfect for a Neighbor-Friends Fall Gathering and maybe, just maybe a bonfire later on! :D

Wow, back to the board after Rosh Hashana and so much to catch up on :) The holidays are definitely tough. On Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur when the focus is on reflecting on everything we have done wrong in the past year, repenting, and reflecting on our hopes and prayers for the current year, it is so easy to get caught up in wondering what I've done wrong and what I am being punished for to still be no closer to having a baby in my arms this year (I know this is an overly simplistic view, but the holidays definitely give way to these types of thoughts). I see all of the happy couples everywhere with their babies this time of year and conversely wonder what they've done right that we haven't done and why we aren't among them, pushing our baby due this past June in a stroller...during the holidays it is just so difficult to keep my mind from going there.

On another note, did anyone see the finale of Giuliana and Bill? I think they are both pretty annoying but I am still rooting for them and I really hope that this round of IVF worked for them! The series kind of ended as a cliffhanger which makes me think that she might indeed be pregnant. Anyone else care to speculate? :)

kerribell - Welcome to the board and best of luck to you with your upcoming FET!

WeHaveHope - Continuing to send you lots of good vibes that you get great news in 10 days. So glad to hear that the embryos thawed so well. They look really beautiful and I hope they are growing, thriving, and snuggling in tight for the long-haul!

fvrogers - Congratulations!!! What wonderful news! I really don't think your beta is so low for 8dp5dt (from the dates in your siggy I am assuming that you were 8dp5dt when the first beta was drawn?). I am sending you so many good vibes for a great second beta and a healthy pregnancy!

LauraN - Lots of luck to you with your CD 3 bloodwork and moving forward. I hope all is well and that you will be able to move forward right on schedule.

akdelp
- Congratulations!!!! I am so happy for you! Sending you lots of good thoughts for a great first beta. Awesome news!!

Tess69 - I am so sorry your hpt was negative :( I am of course praying that you will still get a great surprise, but I know how helpless it feels when you get a negative at that point in the cycle. You are in my thoughts. So many hugs to you.

Leora - I was thinking of you over Rosh Hashana and hoping you were having a relaxing time on the beach :) I think holding off a couple of weeks makes a lot of sense, especially since a couple of weeks is all it will take for you to accrue the benefits. We are still waiting a few days to see how the fellowship interview schedule will pan out, but it is clear at this point that we will also be postponing a bit as well…our goal is to have the new stim start date sorted out by the end of this week. Looking forward to meeting up later this week !

Sunshine - As you describe your deep cleaning, I am thinking how much our apartment could use a good deep cleaning :) Also, I just wanted to say that oreos with cream cheese icing and peanut butter sounds AMAZING - that just made me really hungry.

tuffy4u - Thinking of you and hoping for the best on Monday!

LYD - So glad to hear your beta hell is over (no small feat!) and that you can finally prepare to move on.

Anton - I totally agree with you - getting a haircut and coloring can make you feel like a new woman. I don't do it often enough, but it never fails to make me feel great. Enjoy it!

Kamina - Sending you lots of good vibes moving forward with embryo transfer. Let us know how it goes. What day is the transfer in the end?

Indigo
- ((((hugs)))) I am so so sorry this cycle had such a disappointing ending. You are in my thoughts and I really hope that the clinic will be able to offer you something.

I'm gone for 3 days and SOOO much happens!

Felicia - CONGRATS! Sounds like a fine number to me, but if you'd like to obsess, I suggest betabase.info to see how your numbers compare. (If I count correctly, you were 13"dpo" for your beta -- well - the average for 13dpo is 62, so you are right on track!)

Maria - I'm so glad to hear the FET went off without a hitch. Will you be POAS? If so, when? Image
Image -- also, don't lose hope for your other frosties if this cycle doesn't work out. I mentioned at my clinic that I was not optimistic about my FET, since the embryo was worse quality than the ones that gave me my boys, and I've had better embryos in different cycles turn out BFN. The nurse told me that best quality embryos don't always lead to healthy babies. Sometimes, lower quality embryos do just fine.

Sunshine & Stars - how are you feeling? When is your first u/s?

Christy - I'm sorry your family is being insensitive. I come from a small community and every time I talk to my mom on the phone, she has to share the gossip on which of my former schoolmates are expecting. Most are having their second or third. What's so frustrating is that I've been trying longer than any of them! -- I've been living 6000+ miles away from my family for a few years now and it never seems far enough.... they are all coming next week for the holiday - and we'd also planned this so they would be here for the birth of my boys  This is going to be hard....

akdelp - still getting two lines on that pee stick? (I'm sure you are still testing every day! I know that I do!)

Blessed - the needles get easier. My first round, I had to take only Puregon (aka Follistim) which came in the pen with the teeny-tiny little needles. I was freaking out! Now, I've taken a ton of different things, including Menopur which I have to mix myself and PIO which are IM instead of SQ. I still remember how scary the first ones were! You'll be fine and you'll get used to it.

tuffy - I know how you feel. My clinic gives me 30% odds, but at the end of the cycle, you are either 100% pregnant or 0%. I'm sorry you didn't get the second line. I'm sure you know that you might still be early and that there are people who don't get positive HPT until after the beta, but I know it's still heartbreaking. Big hugs and I hope you still get your surprise BFP.

fruit - how are you? What's the next step in your plan?

Lydia - I totally understand. I had a 2+month detour after my miscarriage last year and my beta wouldn't drop. I'm so glad to hear yours is down. IIRC, the theory is that you ovulate when your beta gets to zero and get AF two weeks later. I'm anovulatory in general, so I never got AF and finally took provera. --- Also - you should totally come visit Israel :D

Tess - Ugh. I'm sure you know that you might still be early and that there are women who never get BFPs on HPT until after their beta -- but I know that it's still devastating to get a BFN. -- Feel better! I used to have chronic migranes as a child, but thank goodness I outgrew that! -- what do you do for a living? What would you consider a 'downgrade'? ---- a good friend of mine was also having difficulty getting pregnant. They have been trying for a year and a half and diagnosed with 'unexplained'. I knew they were doing IUIs. We didn't talk about the infertility thing, because she would always try to 'compete' over who had things worse (ie, trying to tell me that I was 'lucky' my infertilty had a cause as opposed to her 'unexplained'.... um - wtf? IVF sucks and it sucks that we know it's the only way we'll ever get pregnant... telling me that I need to 'get over' losing my first twins just like she 'got over' a miscarriage she had at 5 weeks...). She only told me she was expecting at 13 weeks (actually, when she came to visit me in the hospital after my C-section). UGH. Why??? When I told her I was pregnant (at 6.5 weeks, after we saw heartbeats), she asked me not to talk about it with her, because it was so hard for her. Fine. No prob. But why didn't she tell me earlier? I was tiptoeing around her for 10 weeks, when we could have been celebrating our pregnancies together!

On top of it all -they got pregnant while they were taking a break from the IUIs. UUUUGGGGHHHH. WTF???? (friendship is kinda dying anyways - but this is annoying). She then tells me that she is so glad she can finally tell me, because she has so many questions and she knows I do a ton of research. Even since the boys died, she'll call me to ask me for my advice because I'm the more 'experienced' in pregnant things (ie, Can I dye my hair? Can I go swimming? Where is a good place nearby to shop for baby stuff? - things she could google or ask her doctor, or ask any of our millions of mom friends!)

Lauren319 - hmmm.... *I* was the funny one on my boards.... I guess we'll have to compete for the 'funny' award (although, I'm not quite as funny as I was before life continued to shit on me...)

Amanda - welcome back! :D My clinic isn't big into letting people know what 'grade' the embryos are (I sneak a peek in my chart!) -- it doesn't really matter. You have what you have. Good luck! FETs are much easier than fresh. I hope this works for you!

LauraN - I totally relate to you -- I get super excited for cycles. I think about how crazy that is -- I'm excited for clinic visits (and mornings that start off with a dildo-cam inspection!), I'm excited for drugs that make me feel sick, I'm excited for the stress ---- but I know that cycling is better than waiting!

Kerri - welcome! two frosties sounds great -- I only have one.

Rosie - Happy New Year. Those kinds of thoughts are exactly why we SKIPPED synagogue this year. Everyone keeps telling me that this year will be better than last... but that's what everyone said last year, and the year before, and the year before that... and things keep getting worse. --- I don't watch Giuliana and Bill - would you recommend it? -- sorry that you might be postponing too -- even though I know it's for the best, I really hate more waiting!

AFM - starting work tomorrow! I"ll let y'all know how it goes. For those who asked, I got a job in a law office. The job description is basically being an admin asst -- making copies, setting up the board room for meetings, scheduling appts, etc -- but they were super impressed with me and my CV, so they say there is room to 'grow' and take on bigger projects in the firm. We'll see how it goes tomorrow!

I've been doing a lot of thinking about post-poning our cycle -- and I think we will.

When I was unemployed, we didn't consider waiting until I had found a job. Finding a job is such an unknown amount of time -- I couldn't handle waiting indefinitely. Also, that would add SOOOO much pressure to the job search, which is already incredibly difficult.

But now that I have a job, I agree with David that it's totally worth waiting a few more weeks so that if I get pregnant, I would get full maternity benefits. (Obviously, if this cycle doesn't work, but a later cycle does, I would get all those benefits too).

I'm going to call my clinic tomorrow morning and let them know the plan. I'll stay on the BCP for the next few weeks. Because of the holidays (and my family's visit!), I'll probably take another full pack of pills -- and stop them around Oct 25-27. Late-November FET!

I have a count-down timer on my phone -- I set it to Dec 1 - because by then, we'll definitely know whether this FET worked or not.... so - 61 days until this cycle will be over! :D

Leora-your job sounds very interesting. I love my nursing career bit always had an I terse in law. I know your going to be great ad they ate going to love you. I think I will definantely POAS. I don't like th idea of going into the Beya blind. Not one for surprises. I think I would rather know ahead of time or at least have an idea. Since my transfer was technically a 6 day transfer I may POAS on Monday morning or Tuesday morni g the latest. Last cycle I got a faint blue line 4dpt of my 5 day embies. I don't think I can stay away from POAS. Look below, that will be me in line at the store buying all the HPT they have.
