Planning first IVF!

DH and I have been TTC #2 for 11 years. Our first took us about a yr to get preg but did it without meds or any help. We've tried two IUI's that failed. I have PCOS also and take Thyroid medication.

We are looking at Shady Grove in MD. I actually haven't heard the best things about the Doctors and staff there which does bother me but if I feel like it's true for me, I'll def let them know. If they can help me achieve what we want and do all they can to help I want to try them.

Has anyone here gone through them? If so, how did you like them and where did you go? My Inlaws are from MD so that helps so we can stay with them. We are currently in Germany so we'd have to travel. Shady Grove just seems to have the best option esp since we'll get one try.

I know that some people have gone through Shady Grove (hmmm.... don't remember who though!) and I actually think there is someone else here in who lives in Germany (again - don't remember who... )

Come join us on the "Fall/Winter 2011" thread -- I know it's a bit overwhelming to join in, but it's really a lovely group of people who are really supportive.

Don't know about the clinic but I just wanted to drop in and wish you luck! I hope your long journey to trying to concieve is over soon. It took us numerous cycles and miscarriages before having our little miracle, but it is all worth it in the end. Good luck to you!

Good Luck!! I am on the Ivillage IVF board and their has been lots of gals that have gone through shady grove. I don't remember any specific problems that they have had. I think with all clinics there can be issues. Problems is that most of the time the patients have to deal with nurses and a lot of time the nurses are incompetent or uncaring. Plus its a PITA to get answers from the Dr going through a nurse. With all that said, all that counts in the end is if we have a baby to take home. For me i just sucked it up and learned that no clinic is going to be 100% what I want. Then come to this board and vent away..
