I am planning on BFing too...and have chosen a daycare near my office that has a BF room for when I am in town. I am on a waiting list there but they are confident we will get in by April when I go back to work.

Wishing- Yay on being 13 weeks! I felt so much more confident once I hit that mark. A Chi-O huh? I did not go greek and always regretted it... How fun to have that connection with so many friends from college. The owls arrived today. I haven't opened them yet. I am letting the anticipation build.

Katie- Its just awesome that you named Em after your Mom. We lost my Dad to the Big C in 1994. My sis had the first baby in the family so she took the name. :-)

You ladies are a wealth of knowledge and I am so glad that you are with me on this journey. I have been running a little bit lately. Only a minute at a time then speed walking for a couple of minutes in between since I haven't' been doing it the whole pregnancy. But it feels right. I just feel like everything is so tight and protected now that it is more comfortable then when I tried in the beginning. I think she likes it and I sure have missed it a lot!

I can see her kick now and DH has felt it many times. So magical! I am at the inlaws house now...they ripped out our bathrooms for the remodel and turned off the water on Thursday. Thankfully they left for a 5 week trip to Cali to see their soon-to-be grandson. Relieved to have their house to ourselves and to be out of the construction zone. Hope you are all having a terrific weekend!

Bliss: so exciting to see your tummy twitch and bounce! and good for you for exercising! I'm still so tired and nauseous most of the time ... the only exercise I get is when I walk to the fridge at 4 am to eat :D :D

AFM: Board is pretty quiet . . . guess we're all just plodding along . . . I have my glucose test at the end of the month . . . most women hate it, but I didn't mind it too much . . . :D

Board is REALLY quiet... and I can't believe that we haven't had any new joiners or updates. We are going to have to stalk the IVF boards and recruit the newly pregnant I guess.

Since we had no news I skipped the weekly email this week.

I am plodding along and also have my GD test coming up a week from Monday. Excited to go back to the doctor.

How is everyone?

I know, super quiet! I'm ready for my next u/s next Friday. I think I'm not the only one who feels like they live from one u/s to the next, wondering if the baby's heart is still beating. I hate being so neurotic!

I have been stalking this board for a few weeks now. I haven't posted because I was afraid I would "jinx" myself. On Aug 29th we had a 3dt with 3 embies. I am currently 8 weeks prenant with one little bean. I go back for my last appointment with my RE on the 17th and then I should be released to my ob:) We have told a few people close to us and word spreads in a small town in Indiana. I was waiting to make my offical anouncement after RE released us.
My due date is May 18th, 12 days after my 40th Birthday. I had my son when I was 17 so this is going to be like I am pregnant for the first time:)
Good Luck and a Healthy Pregnancy to all!

Hi mommas to be :). I haven't posted in a while, like Wishing said earlier, I have been SO TIRED!! It is a little frustrating and I feel bad for DH cuz I've had no energy to cook dinner or do chores. He's been very understanding though :). I had an appt about 2 weeks ago and they took tons of blood.. I also got another ultrasound (11 wks) and I swear I saw a winkie but I know its too early lol. It was so exciting to see the baby again and this time the baby was waving so that was cute!! Love the idea of Owl bedding.. I like different nursery's instead of the same old Pooh, etc... Congrats 22 years!! And welcome! :). Yah, it does look like its quiet on this board but, that is good too... Best wishes to you all.

Hello Ladies - I have MIA as well but the ride with triplets is REALLY crazy. I had another bleeding scare a couple weeks ago and there was a lot of blood which was super frightening and of course like the first time it was at 2 am on Sunday morning (12 weeks). I did call the doctor but as expected was told to go into the the office on Monday but if bleeding continued to be heavy then head to the hospital. Well, went into the office on Monday and they saw nothing but 3 healthy babies all being super busy :)

I have been super uncomfortable everyday, dealing with HORIBBLE constipation and Monday will be ONLY 14 weeks. I will be having a cerclage done on Thursday and justing praying to get through everyday and deliver healthy babies.

I am so happy to hear that you are all progressing so well and all babies are doing well. I love that you guys are buying furniture and bedding already as that is such a great part of this journey as well.

Congrats and welcome 22Years!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend all.

Hello everyone! It is so quiet on this board! That must mean that everyone is doing well and cruising on through their pregnancies!

ttcnb- I'm sorry that you are so uncomfortable. I'm sure it will all be worth it when you get to meet those 3 beautiful babies! The bleeding sounds scary, but I'm so glad that you were able to have such a reassuring ultrasound. The constipation is REALLY frustrating. Mine seemed to get better with prune juice, but unfortunately the prune juice made me really nauseated.

Prayersnpies- Congrats on a great ultrasound! The fatigue is awful, but I keep hearing that it will get better soon. I'm glad that you have such a good DH. My DH has also been fabulous about cooking and cleaning. Fortunately we have someone that comes in and does a very thorough cleaning every other week, so I know the house won't get too dirty. DH is great at straightening things and such, but I'm not sure how great of a bathroom cleaner he is. :)

22yearslater- Welcome to the board! So glad that you can join us!

Bliss- Glad to hear that everything is going well! Good luck on the GD test!

Dogzrule- I know what you mean about living from one u/s to the next. I have to wait 6 weeks between ultrasounds, and it's killing me! I have another appointment in 2 weeks, but no u/s at that time :( Oh well. I'm pretty neurotic too, but I just have to have faith that all is well!

Deftonesmo- I know what you mean about 4 am hunger. I am always hungry in the middle of the night, but I'm too lazy to get up and do anything about it!

AFM- Nothing much to report. Still moving on along...now in my 2nd trimester :D I have another appointment in 2 weeks, but don't get an ultrasound for another month. I've officially had to move into maternity clothes for the most part, although I'm still losing weight. The nausea is a little better, but I just can't eat much at once. I get full so fast! Hopefully I'm getting enough nourishment for these 2 babies!

Yes, this board has been very quiet lately. I haven't bee posting as much just because I am always soooooooo tired. After work I just wanna crash and the wkends have been super packed with activities and projects. We had our 1st shower last wkend and with that and family in town to visit it has taken me all wk to recover. Only to have a work shower this wk, a dr appt thurs, church shower this coming Sat and homecoming at church. Hopefully I will squeeze in a massage at some point this wk. I did have an appt this past Wed for my monthly growth scan, and they look great. He is 1lb 11oz, she is 1lb 13oz. She definitely rules the roost in there! We were able to get some 3d pics of her but he was facing my spine so no cool pics of him. They are both with their little heads pointed down and on my bladder with their feet up to my ribs. I will be interested to see how they are turned at my appt Thurs..... they better not be preparing for an exit!!!! My cervix was still looking good, like a fort! It just worries me with these BH's and knowing there are twin moms on the 2011 board on hosp bedrest. I am 26wks this week so I have got to start taking it a little easier. Just know that even if Im not posting that I am following daily and wishing everyone the best of luck. It is such a journey for us all, cant believe how far we've come... so quickly!!!

Hey mamas! Glad to see things pick up a little bit around here. I hear you on being tired...sending lots of energy your way and hope you first trimester gals get that second trimester wind soon.

Dallas- what a wild week you have going on. Good for you for squeezing in some time for yourself with the massage. Can't wait to hear about your showers! You will have to post pics. Its wise of you to take it a little easier with your 2 little ones, but I am sure you are going to be just fine. Hard to believe they are already in position, I am sure they will wiggle around and keep you on your toes as things progress. Sounds like your princess is definitely running the roost. How cute! I am sure she will be all about taking care of her little bro.

Wishing- Welcome to the second trimester! Have you noticed a difference in how you are feeling? I wouldn't worry too much about the weight gain as long as you are giving them good stuff when you are eating. I am actually with you now. After gaining a ton of weight in the first trimester, I have leveled off in the last couple of weeks because I can't fit any food in my growing belly along with Evelyn! If I eat a normal size meal I get pummeled by excrutiating heartburn. I am logging my meals on myfitnesspal.com and keeping track of my nutrients to make sure she gets enough iron, protein, vitamin c, and calcium. I am also watching calories a little bit...I am certainly not dieting, but I also was going a little overboard in the beginning and I am all about being more moderate in these last 4 months.

ttcnb- Wow! What a scare. I am glad your three amigos turned out okay. I am also happy to hear you are getting a cerclage. I think that is really smart given your history and the triplets. Good luck on Thursday! I had the constipation really badly too in the first trimester. I know you have heard it, but drink, drink, drink! I also find that when I eat a lot of fruits and veggies instead of fats and carbs things seem to move better. Exercise has helped too.

Prayersnpies- I am dying to know...what does your name mean? Are you a full time pastor who also bakes on the side? ;-) You will feel better soon I hope! Glad your DH is being supportive. What a guy! Glad you had a terrific ultrasound. They can be nerve-wracking and it always feels good to see your LO. Glad you liked the bedding.

Dogs- congrats on making it into the 2nd trimester! I am sure your baby will be just fine! I know in the beginning I thought I couldn't live without a weekly u/s. They spoil us in the fertility clinic in the beginning. Now its no big deal. Don't get me wrong, I still worry...but being able to feel her move helps A LOT. I am sure Friday will be great!

22yearslater- What a cool story! I would think it would feel a little like your first pregnancy...but do you ever forget what labor is like? :-) Looking forward to getting to know you a little better. If you get a moment, tell us a little bit how you came to be with us on this fertility/pregnancy journey.

Katie- Hope you are doing well mama! I know em has been keeping you on your toes. Hope she is feeling well and you are too.

Mora- great to hear from you and glad our pregnancies are progressing uneventfully. How are you doing with getting prepared? I feel like I am completely on hold because of the remodel. I can't wait until its done so I can begin decorating the nursery.

AOTW - I'm planning on taking 4 months off from work and will then hopefully go part-time. I'm waiting to have that discussion until I'm on leave because I might feel differently once Baby Boy is here. So far, with respect to childcare, my MIL is willing to take him one day a week (maybe two) and then hubby will be working from home for one day a week. So that should cover any time I have to be in the office, but we are checking out day cares and getting on waitlists just in case - plus if we have to do drop in care, we know where we're going.

Sounds like everyone is coming right along. I have to say the worst right now for me is being tired and the heartburn. If I sleep on my left side - heartburn. If I eat too much or not enough - heartburn. Tums and I have become really good friends lately, with Colace at a close second.

Bliss - I ended up doing that too with my weight. I gained a lot in the beginning due to the progesterone, I think, since I hadn't changed my eating habits and am now maintaining. 2nd trimester, I have gained some, but definitely not the 1lb per week the books were telling me. I figure if I can maintain until my next appointment, I'll be right on track, which would be nice.

ttcnb - If the water and fruits and veggies don't work, try colace. Its been helping me a lot as I enter in the my third trimester. Its also helping keep the ligament pain down as I had a really bad episode a few weeks back and the nurse said that constipation can irritate the uterus and ligaments and trigger it. I'm glad the little ones are good. I've had my own couple of scares and its not fun.

Dallas - I just had a massage last weekend and it was fabulous - and also educating. The gal showed me different ways to reduce back pain and ligament pain with different pillow positions. It was fantastic.

Wishing - Congrats on the second trimester! and that you have nothing to report.... That's been pretty much me this entire pregnancy, which has been nice.

22 years - Congrats! The time flies by... I can't believe that I'm already scheduling birth classes and hospital tours and putting together my birth plan. Seems like we just announced it to the family.

Dogz and Prayersnipes - We didn't have an ultrasound until week 20 (first and only was at week 7) so I can completely relate. Its so hard to wait, but definitely enjoy it while you can.

AFM - We're quickly moving forward with items. So far the placenta previa hasn't corrected itself. We're now doing ultrasounds every 4 weeks, which while fun to see Baby Boy, is also getting old as well. This Friday we have our ultrasound, GD test, and I also have to get the rH negative shot - fun trip. And then Tuesday, we'll meet with our OB. Our old OB had to unexpectedly resign due to family medical issues, so we get a new doctor for the third trimester. All sorts of fun in our household. With the placenta previa and possibly a c-section a few weeks early, we may actually deliver the week between Christmas and New Years. So, we're trying to plan accordingly, with the hope that it corrects itself down the road. We're signed up for classes and the tour, the nursery is finished, and I guess I'm having my showers at the end of the month, which will be fun.

Other than that, we're tired, swollen, and overall managing as we progress. So far we don't have a name yet for Baby Boy, but have a few ideas. We're going to wait until the birth to name him so that there's at least one surprise left for the family (but they're definitely letting us know what they think of that idea as well - oh well :)) And our nursery is the Eddie Bauer Enchanted Hollow series, which is all woodland creatures. A nice forest theme for Baby Boy.

Hope all is well.

Hey Red!!! Its so great to hear from you. I think you officially caught up on all the "questions of the week" after that post. The week between Christmas and New Years is an interesting time to have a baby to be sure. I could definitely see it having its advantages, like being a good time to be off work. And of course for future birthday's you will always be able to catch the After Christmas sales to pick up great deals for the little man. :D :D :D I know the Eddie Bauer set you are talking about. Its adorable! Our classes start at the end of the month. Feels great to be moving right along!

For Red and all Mommies...if you haven't read it yet I highly recommend "Milk Memos." Its a really cool book about being a working Mom. Its heavily focused on bfing, but there is also other great stuff like how to negotiate part time hours, flex time, or job sharing if you are inclined to do so. But what I like best about it is that its just heartwarming. I feel like its really preparing me for going back to work after 12 weeks of maternity leave...which I have to do since I am the primary breadwinner.

We are already on the waiting list for a great center at our local hospital. It has a terrific reputation and we really enjoyed our visit there. And the best part? You gotta feel pretty good about your child being at daycare on the local hospital's campus. They also have very low turnover and great caregiver to child ratios. Still as good as it was...I darn near cried just visiting. I miss her already and I haven't even met her yet. :(
