Hi there July buddies

I had my first follie scan today and I have 30 already! They may want to coast me as I am again at high risk of OHSS like the first time - typical. I am waiting for blood results from today and I may have to have blood tomorrow too. Feeling OK in myself but trying to drink lots and lots.

How is everyone else doing??

Angela - Glad you are nearly there on your start date. I bet you are raring to go. Hope AF turns up early and NOT late! Good luck.

Donna - We are nearly at the same stage. My EC is on the 8th (hopefully) and ET on the 10th. How are you feeling now? This could be 3rd time lucky. I had a 3rd time lucky and even though it ended in disaster it was still a positive PG 3rd time so, way to go girl!!!

Jen - Glad AF turned up and you are on your way now. Fingers crossed.

Hope everyone else is doing alright.

Love Dagny xkx

Hi July-bies.....this is a great group of people. Lots of support and advice.

Dagny & Donna - good luck...you're the next lucky ladies into the stirrups!

Cerise - my DF is so used to me bursting into tears about anything and everything that he just says 'hormones' to me immediately! He's right. More awkward when it's other people. I welled up on Friday by accident in a class and had to make a joke of it, I think people think I'm a bit nuts.

Tracey S - it is 'as nutty as a fruitcake' not 'fruity' that's something else alltogether

PMA and hugs to everyone,
Debra.

Hiya girlies

Well, hope that this post finds you all well! I had my scan on Friday and everything seems fine - HOWEVER, I got the blood tests results back and my NK cell count is high (249) - they said anything over 200 is high. Therefore I think they are going to put me non steroids before ET next time (I have to speak with my consultant tomorrow as he wasn't avaiable on Friday).

In a way I am very pleased that they are high as this may be the reason for the embryos not implanting last time! Does anyone else know anything about NK cells?? I had read somewhere that women who had failed IVF and proved to have high NK cell count, when treated 70% went on to have pregancies .......... here's hoping!

Love you all

Hi Everyone - how are we all coping today? All full of PMA I hope!!!

Just to let you know that I went to the hospital today for scan no. 3! Things are going OK'ish, but the Consultant is a little concerned about my lack of follicles. The last 2 attempts I only managed 6 and 5 eggs and so he has pushed up the amount of Gonal-F I am on in a hope that I might produce a few more good size follicles. I guess you are never happy are you! Dagny is worried about over stimulating, and I am worrying about not producing enough - this is a funny old game isn't it :)

Whatever I manage to produce though I am scheduled for EC next Wednesday (14th). When is everyone else expecting theirs to be?

Thinking of you all!

Hi July bies - you are all coming along just fine - need some af's to arrive (Angela) and bingo full house. Expecting great things from you lot as well as the june lot too! Debra - thought it was nutty and have not quite forgotten what fruity is!

Nickie - know bugger all about NK - or nothing I have not read so have everything crossed. Like you say at least you have something and this could be the reason. Steroids should sort it out.

Good luck to you all - I reckon you are doing a fab job

Hi Donna

It looks like we are opposite ends of the spectrum  I have got too many follies and feeling really bloated and sore. I have to stop injections and coast for a bit now. How many follies do you have?? You didn't say.

Nickie - I don't know anything about NK cells sorry. I hope you find your answers.

Macaroni - Hope your scan on Friday goes well.

Donna

Keep your chin up - at my first scan I only had 3 follies of any size and 1 was so much larger than the other 2 that we thought we would have to abadon the whole thing. But at the next scan the 3 had slowed down and another 3 had put in an appearance, managed to get 5 eggs at EC and 4 fertilized at top grade. Had to stim for an extra 7 days to get there but got there in the end - thats the main thing

All

The 2nd week of this 2ww is pants - and thats official. I felt quite optimistic last week and to be honest was able to put the whole thing out of my mind, but this week, what a change. Have convinced myself that its all over, based on what exactly I hear you ask.....................insticnt and some mild AF type pains (which during the night were there I promise) in the cold light of day however, I may have imagined :D

Laughed before at the idea of knicker checking - oh no I wouldn't be doing that, and yes your're right yesterday I spent the whole day checking and analysing. In the days leading up to normal AF I tend to get a dark discharge (sorry tmi) and yesterday I am sure that was there, but could this have been something to do with the pessaries?

So on the whole feeling pretty pants, am due to test on Sunday, if I have to.

Trying not to be negative but can't feel positive so am somewhere in the middle.

Hang in there - the 2ww is pants isn't it - if you pardon the knicker pun etc  You can imagine things or they might be there but does not mean negative. I was so huffy on one day of my 2nd week I finished all the blue cheese off in the fridge with some red wine and thought sod it - look at me now! Should have invented my singing knickers which all the old timers on the board still mention. Thought I could have some knickers that read hcg levels like a pg kit so we did not have to keep checking and then modified them by having singing knickers which burst into song singing things like "congratulations" or something when ++++++++++ . All this when I was not pg so always been as mad a badger.

donna - it only takes one - hard it must be as you always want as many as possible but try and stay positive.

Good luck to you all

Tracey

I remember the singing knickers - at the time I was still contemplating tmt and hoping that we wouldn't need it.

As my body already knows why can't it just whisper in my ear - or another sign - I am so desperate I wouldn't even mind if the sign meant my hair turned green and stood on end if it meant I got a +. Have spent the day checking and double checking - but no signs nothing, absolutely zip.

Thanks for the kind thoughts (as always) - you are very kind to take time each day to give everyone here a few words of encouragement and support - I really do admire you.

Hi everyone,

I didn't check in for a few days as DH was off from work for a holiday here and we were on the go doing stuff. I'm just trying to catch up with where everyone is at.

Dagny,

I hope you are ok!! I hope they are taking every possible precaution to make sure the OHSS doesn't happen again. Is EC still scheduled for the 8th?

Dee Dee,

The 2 ww (especially the 2nd week) is really tough. Hang in there. I caved in and took hpt's every single day. Next time around I'm going to try my best to just wait for the official test!

Hope everyone else is doing well! I ordered my meds today so they'll show up tomorrow. I don't start downregging until the 19th but figured I might as well just get everything I need now so there won't be any turning back!
