WE- I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOw awesome that your numbers are so high.... You are so having two babies.... I am so happy for you and DH! I can understand that you are being cautious but I just pray that you can start enjoying being pregnant. I know that it is so hard but I know that your time will come to enjoy and you are so blessed! Kiminsh-thank you. Great news. Hopefuly you will have 2 or 3 beautiful embies to transfer and plenty to freeze. I'll be keeping you in my prayers. I am not very familiar with all the different protocols but I am almost positive that we did the Antagonist Protocol and this us what gave us 26 eggs, 19 which fertilized, and in the ende we had 10 to freeze. I am praying you get some awesome numbers with this protocol.

Blessed-thank you. I am a little perplexed with these high Betas. I looked at BetaBase today and compared my Beta with others and my Beta doubling time with others. It's definantely high even for twins. DH is 48 and I am 37 (we are not Spring chickens anymore ) and we have three kids 18, 15, and 12. Twins would definantely be a surprise and a pleasant challenge with three other kids still living at home. But I trust on God and he would never give us more than we could handle. New here and seeking advice.
Background: I am 41 and have been trying to conceive for the past year. 4 BFN IUI cycles and one pos IVF cycle followed by miscarriage.

This is our 2nd and last IVF attempt. Our first attempt resulted in a miscarriage at 7.5 weeks (after heartbeat detected). I am currently at 4.5 weeks and the doc wants to do an utrasound at 5.5 weeks and then again at 6.5 weeks. I know that the only thing we will see at 5.5 is how many are embryos are currently implanted. We won't see a heartbeat until 6.5 weeks, and anything can change in that one week time period. So, I am undecided as to whether or not just waint until 6.5 weeks. Any thoughts? BTW, we transfered 3 the first time and 4 frozen this round. My beta at 16dpo was 470 and 18dpo 2060

Kiminish- Sounds like several of us will be doing the antagonist cycle this time! I really had a good outcome with the follicles so he's wanting to try this one more time, may this be the one! Ganirelix is very much the same as follistim it helps with producing follicle growth. Love that no lupron is being used!

Jen- Good luck with your transfer this Friday!

Lauren319- Yay on starting injections tonight, after a few we certainly get in our comfort zone and it's a breeze compared to our first IVF. I remember being so overwhelmed with the baby box this time last year.

AFM: Meeting with RE was good, Still cannot believe our thyroid levels came back at .96 and I asked him is that too low now? lol he said absolutely not. Recommended to try ONE more IUI to give us a total of 4 attempts before meoving back into IVF. DId say I might not qualify for the IVF Attain Refund Program since we already tried IVF with no success once before...But that is the whole idea right to get a program tha offers you 3 attempts of fresh, and 3 attempts of frozen with a set price and if no baby 70% percent of you money is refunded. He said alot of times the ladies with endometriosis will get approved first knowing they have a higher chance of IVF success. I'm praying this is our cycle and we want have to bother with the Attain program but dh wants to go ahead and get the paperwork filled out. No more waiting around!

AFM- Well, I am happy for your good news girls but I am sad today for my part. It was supposed to be the beginning of our new cycle today but my DH didn’t give me the green light to move on with the natural cycle IVF. I had an appt today with my OB to start monitoring my follicle and lining (CD8) but I called and cancelled it. We talked a bit last night and he told me that both psychological and emotional he is not ready to start this and definitely he is not ready to deal with another BFN. 7 BFN’s in 2 yrs are a lot to take in. So I said Ok. We start again when you feel ready I told him. I can’t pressure him for something that serious! I mean, it takes 2 to make the decision on this one and unfortunately I only had one vote, my own. I don’t know what to say and what to think. Between us, I was really positive about this NCIVF. Still i am! I had done a LOT of internet research and what I found is VERY promising for our situation. Thing is, DH didn’t really looked into it and didn’t want me to explain again either. He told me that, it will take us another 10 times doing this NCIVF and we will end up in the same situation we are now...so why kinda bother?... I only told him that this is definitely not the case but I left it there. As I told you in previous posts, my DH, by nature, is VERY pessimistic and sees ONLY the negative in a situation. Especially the one we are now. He is the completely opposite of me on this one! I am a very positive person and I always see the positive. even in the worst situation you can think of!... I don’t know girls. I am going to just live it as it is until next month. Maybe he is ready then, maybe he is not. I know God is testing us all the time and some of us can take it more than others. Maybe he cant take it anymore and he has reach bottom; I believe that God has a plan for us, I just want to see the happy end of that plan! Soon! I am just going to pray and hope that DH will change his mind and give us another chance. We realy do deserve at least another chance! I hope he sees some light in the dark hole he is in now. I am here for him for whatever the case. I am definitely not losing hope and I definitely see a BFP in the future for us! I just have to get DH on the same boat with me to see IT too!

So a new journey of waiting begins for me......please God, let it be a short one!

About the job... well, either today, or tomorrow I am going to hear from them and I will let you know how it goes. they told end of the week they will contact so, another wait here too...

Counsel-welcome to the group. I wish I could advice you on the ultrasound but I really am unsure of what I would do if I were in that situation. I know that you will make the right decision. I will be praying for you and that your ultrasound goes well. Also praying that your pregnancy continues to go smoothly and that you have a happy healthy baby next Summer. Kamina- I"m so sorry. What a heartbreak. Let us know when you decide on your next steps. We are here for you.

Sunshine- I also had a failed cycle and then applied for attain. My doc said I wouldn't qualify but I did. So you never know. It's worth a shot. Even though I got pregnant this cycle I'm glad I did it, a lot less stress (on the financial side) for a failed cycle.

AFM- I have been really sick, lots of intestinal issues so I don't think it's pregnancy related. I hope my baby or babies are doing okay through all this. Going to Florida next week for a vacation so we are all pretty excited.

My husband on the other hand is mister positive for the most part. With trying to get pregnant with both have lots of negatives though. I will pray that he finds some peace and you will get the go from him soon. I think it's great that you are supporting him though!

I just skirted an international brawl. Never, I repeat Never, go off effexor while high on progesterone and estrogen and get on a crowded international flight going through to different countries customs. Not safe for the world. I am suprised someone did not knock my block off.
I worry the bumpy flight bounced my DE around but really nothing i can do and I have a little padding around there to hopefully protect it all.
Anyone ever heard of a RE in Georgia who does "reduced cost IVF".
I am thinking this didnt work ( i am in the 2ww and I feel totally normal right now-except I am a witch) and I am not sure if I can afford another out of the country experience- emotionally and otherwise.
I am sending out happy sticky baby dust to all getting quants and US done today.

We- we have a vacation home in Davenport near Disney. It's a welcome escape from Minnesota winters and now that I'm not working anymore I plan on spending a lot of time down there this winter. Where do you live?

Also W,e just imagine all the help you will have with all those older kids around!!! My neighbor has two little ones and two big ones and I'm so jealous that her bigger kids can take the little ones every now and then. It will be crazy but fun!
