Ooooh... I love Tina Fey and have added it to my long reading list. I mentioned that I really liked Milk Memos, the one about breast feeding and being a full time working Mom. I too loved The Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy. I will have to check out the sequel.
I haven't read any non-pregnancy related books in a while but just downloaded one. I am going to see if "The Help" is worth all "The Hype".

Outside of that, I really enjoy all kinds of reading, mostly nonfiction. I have always felt life is infinitely stranger than fiction. As far as "girly" books, I like all of Elizabeth Gilmer's stuff (Eat, Pray, Love). She is a terrific writer and has a great sense of humor.
Well ladies, I got "the talk" today from my OB about my weight gain. I was so bummed because I have done such a good job since the last visit, knowing that "the talk" was coming. I have gained only a pound on my scale at home since my last visit which is perfect. But the scale at the OB had me at 4 pounds. Still, it has been over 5 weeks since the last visit so I didn't think that was awful. It almost made me cry. I think he really just looked at the total weight gain for the pregnancy for the first time. Plus he thought I was 22 weeks and not 25 1/2 weeks until the end of the appointment when I had to correct him. I went in thinking I was going to get a pat on the back for the improvement, and instead I got crushed.

Oh well. I'll show him next time. I am sticking to what I have been doing which is about a half pound a week, but I am going to wear shorts and a tank top with sandals to the next visit to keep the weight from the clothes down....even in November in northern Michigan. Kidding!

Seriously, I am trying to let it go. For goodness sake, I used to run 40 miles a week and was slightly underweight when I started. Surely 25 pounds at 25 weeks is not all that bad.
Okay, done venting. Thanks for listening!
