Yeah, green tea is a sip of health in every way. Not only it helps in metabolism and weight management but also has a detox effect and help improve immunity. Plus, with the 30-35mh of caffeine, it's ideal to reap all the caffeine benefits - brain stimulant, toning digestion and very basic way of undoing arrhythmia. I was referred green tea by a workmate for the relaxing effect to ease up work stress and the constraints of IVF (TTC failures to be precise). Honestly, I don't quite come to terms with the bland taste of green tea but has to stick to it anyway for a year and a half due to the benefits. I figured out a couple of ways to make it taste as good at it works on the body. Here's a couple of them for anyone who has the same complaints with the taste of green tea.
(1) Don't over brew it - only 4 minutes is enough and pour in the tea when the water starts boiling already.
(2) 2 drops of honey or a tablespoonful juice is a good way to revamp the taste after you've had sieved the tea - with a bit of sweetener that won't undo the health benefits.
(3) Iced green tea is far better in taste than the hot brew one - honey or juice still works as the sweeteners and you can add a leaf or two of mint or basil for added flavour.
(4) For the hot drink version, I used to pick either honey-ginger or lemon flavour - you can hopefully find one that suit your taste buds.
