I have considered acupuncture, everytime I drive my 2.5 hour commute to my clinic I think of it, I pass right by one and have considered stopping by and at least getting some information on acupuncture. I really haven't been stressed in fact I've focused everything toward my thyroid last month giving myself a break from fertility treatment. Cycle was 4 days late last month, but I'm willing to try anything at this point. Today I'm spotting on and off but it's beige in color to barely nothing at all. Maybe this is a good thing in that my mom is coming in 2 weeks, so if the cycle doesn't start until next week the timing would be better. But you are right I have been reading tcm and it shows that acupuncture focuses on all the pressure points in the body helping to regenerate blood flow.

Sunshine, I have been considering acupuncture for the future if this cycle doesn't pan out. I know nothing about it but am under impression that it could be beneficial in many aspects. I'll let you know if I find out anything interesting about it.

I'm much less confused after speaking with one of the nurses a short while ago (my nurse is never there! )
She says I am where I am supposed to be, go on and order more meds and the numbers mentioned were follies not ovaries. DH and I are such newbs lol. So left ovary: 12 by 9, right ovary is slacking

Am making an interesting concoction atm, red, orange and bananna peppers sliced and covered with ground sirloin, browned with red onion, salt, pepper, garlic powder, balsamic vinegar, and rice wine vinegar. Another layer of peppers then topped off with feta mozzarella and cheddar cheeses. Hope that turns out lol.

Ninde- Thank you for asking! This is his 2nd EEG and Sleep study. His right side from his legs up to his face goes numb from time to time. They are trying to find out what it is. He had a second MRI on his head and it showed nothing. This coming Monday he gets one on his neck. We are just praying it isn't serious but there is a reason it's happening. He had these test about 4 years ago and they found nothing but never looked at his neck. We figured they'd want to look at his back also but guess they know what they are doing. Hopefully the results are ready in a couple of days.

Akdelp-I am so sorry that your going through this. I am very happy that the baby is doing well. This is a very positive sign and I know everything will be ok. I will be praying for you. Sending you all my love.

Akdelp - I am so sorry that you have had such a scare. I pray that your little one stays strong. It seems like these hemorrhages are pretty common in IVF cycle. I need to research that. I know so many women who have done IVF and have had hemorrhages. Thankfully they have all gone on to have successful pregnancies and their little one is just fine!! Oh hun, I can only imagine how scarey that is. Try to stray strong and positive. Sending big hugs.

Anton - Congrats on the job interview. Sounds like things are looking up!!! Lots of luck that you get the job.

Everyone else - I am so sorry. I am usually not this sucky at personals. A big welcome to all the new ladies. There are a couple of you who are stimming and I wanted to encourage you that everything will be fine. The first few appointments are where they adjust your doses to get the estrogen and follicles where they need to be. By the end you are coasting through without any problems. A few of you have also been discussing acupuncture. I LOVE acupuncture. I used it with second cycle and although I got a BFN that cycle. I did have 26 eggs on retrieval and I think the acupuncture played a role in such good results. It is also very relaxing. I did not do it with FET because it got too expensive. I wish I was able to keep up with it, I just felt so good after my treatments and I was not as anxious. It is definitely worth it. I cannot guarantee it will get you a BFP (funny I got my BFP during my FET when I did not do acupuncture) but it may help relax you and make the IVF cycle a little easier.

AFM - I am soo pitiful ... I feel really bad that I have not been able to post. But I am lurking and reading. Just dragging along ... Now I am super congested and achy. I pray I am not getting a cold. I read that congestion is another uncommon pregnancy symptom. Leave it to me to have every pregnancy symptom in the book Lets not discuss the constant nausea and indigestion ...

Felicia, Sorry about the indigestion but I wish you a smooth trimester the rest of the way, when is your next u/s?

Adkelp, Thinking of you tonight and praying you have no more complications.

AFM:
Well I'm having a banana split tonight covered in tons of chocolate. Cramping like crazy and AF is well on her way, something about chocolate that always helps calm me. Tomorrow will be officially day1. So once I get full flow, I'll call for my baseline check and order more meds to have everything ready for this anatagonist cycle. Should start meds on day3. I did ask dh tonight if he would want to wait until January so we could get some bills paid off, and he said he's ready to move on. I think really he's ready for us to jump back into IVF more then anything, he asked alot about IVF during our last consult, but my RE recommended that we give IUI 4 real good tries before IVF and yes this will be our 4th round.

In the meantime, I know there is much IVF paperwork to fill out, I remember our last clinic it was over two hours long with tons of signatures consenting to everything. But we need to get it done ASAP, since we are going to apply for the IVF Attain Program and would want to start IVF once again in January. So our 4th IUI this cycle and then we wait until January... I pray we will qualify for IVF Attain, my RE thinks we might get turned down since we already had a failed IVF. But we also had a natural pregnancy so how can they really rule us out? Idk, but it's worth everything I've got to fight for this program giving us more chances in the end to someday having a family one way or another. I really want this program to be in our favor because we may need the funds someday for adoption, that too is very expensive so we have to think ahead- even though nobody knows where this road is going to lead us. Sometimes it's best though to not look too far ahead is all I do know and lay everything in God's hands. He always brings comfort, and gives us peace of mind so we must continue to pray and I'm praying for so many of you ladies too. Trust me I know this road hasn't been easy, but we know anything worth having in life is not meant to be easy... Goodness I'm rambling so much tonight but helps to clear my mind. Back to work tomorrow and then heading out to a local Jazz festival with dh on Saturday.

I tested again today at it is still positive and the line was darker. I want my beta now! These are going to be a long 4 days. I am cramp and it tends to come and go. It's been a little different crampiness than usual.

Neffi: I didn't use Lupron with my FET, only bcp to suppress then moved straight into patches.

Anton: Congrats on the interview. I can't wait to hear about the job. I'm sure they love you.

Adkelp: Thinking of you. I am hoping all works out ok. I have a friend that hemorrhaged 4 times throughout her pregnancy which resulted in ER trips every time with herself soaked in blood to her knees. Her little boy is 6 months old now! Get some rest and keep us posted.

As for the acupuncture discussion-I did acupuncture with my fresh cycle. I didn't notice anything except that it did great things for the cold I had. I instantly stopped coughing and feeling stuffy while the needles were in my nose. It lasted a few hours after treatment. It did not help me get pg. I did not do acupuncture this cycle and got pg. I know there is good data to back it up and I think it is a useful thing to add to one's healthcare. It can get expensive if your insurance doesn't cover it.

Sunshine- I really pray it works for you so there is no need for IVF in Jan! If there is I hope you get into the Attain program! How many cycles to you get with that? We had one pregnancy we didn't need any kind of medication to get pregnant, just can't seem to have #2!

I'm going for the Shady Grove, shared risk program. They said ( Will have to triple check before we sign papers) we get 6 cycles and frozen do not count against our 6 and neither does a canceled one. Sounds too good! lol. I'm sure there are some rules that isn't shown on the website. So I guess as long as we get some to freeze we can keep going.

Blueeyedreamer- I'd do the same thing! I'm a POAS addict! I'm from Georgia and hubby is from Maryland. He's military (Army) so we are currently living in Germany. Have a little over a year left, I HOPE!

Felicia - don't worry! I've actually been feeling a little congested too today, but everyone at work is sick so thats probably why. Hope the nausea and indigestion eases up soon.

Blue - so much waiting in this game! Now I am waiting for my first U/S and its horrible. I actually called my RE and asked if I can come in for another beta because I need to know what is going on. I can't wait for Tuesday, its agony.

AFM - I did acupuncture for the 2nd to last cycle and got no different results than the prior. But some people swear by it. I do CoQ10 though for 3 months before my last cycle and got a beautiful A quality embryo, which is a first for me. Maybe coincidence. Maybe not.

Sunshine, thanks for posting the acupuncture info! It does sound good, so now to price it and find out where they offer it somewhere near me. We live in western ky, (culture shock for this cincinnati girl) and commute to nashville tn for our ivf treatments. I'm amazed that some insurances cover acupuncture, that's pretty great.

Praying that all of you strong caring gals are having a wonderful day. It is such a blessing to be able to come here and speak with others who have gone thru or are going thru this. I know no one who understands any of this. In fact when I say that I am an ivf patient most people ask what that is. So thanks all for being here, and youre each in my prayers.
