Alisa,
At 25 weeks I gained 27 lbs and my OB and my endo did not seem concerned. I don't see 25 lbs weight gain at 25 weeks a problem. Although I am trying to slow it down a little bit now.

Okay this is totally TMI but I gotta have a place to chat and ask.....
I thought I was getting a yeast infection (a bit irritated with a bit of itching, almost painful at times) Felt very different from any other yeast infection I've ever had (haven't had many of them but the few I have, this is different) So today I grab a mirror to check things out "down there" and ugh I think I have varicose vein on my right labia. wah wah wah wah
Have any of y'all had this? I don't see my midwife again until first week in November. I did some reading on-line and I guess it's fairly common but man this stinks.
My sister had that condition. It didn't seem to cause any complications except being painful. However, I would go ahead and call your midwife just to be sure.

So I guess I will be checking this board more frequently now since my MD has taken me off work. I haven't had any complications they just would rather be proactive. Better safe than sorry! I am trying to do some housework, but I have noticed that I have to take more frequent breaks. I am 27wks3days, so I am going to be hanging around here at home for quite sometime once you figure in maternity leave.... but thats ok with me.. the longer they stay in the better!!!!
Can I join you all here? It's early, but why not! Got my BFP on hot starting Tuesday and had my beta today. I go for my next beta on Tuesday. As far as I can tell my due date should be June 30. I hope to get to stay here! It's gonna take me a bit to catch up on 20 pages of conversation!

For DD, we had a "couples shower" with our friends and family... A few cheesy games and gifts... I also had another more traditional shower with just the girls in my hometown... We had a gender reveal party for this pregnancy and I'm not sure how I feel about a shower... Is it bad taste/etiquette to have another shower for baby #2? maybe I'll just have a small lunch date with friends... I want to celebrate Grady's arrival, but not sure if it's tacky or not to have another shower. Katie? Dog rule? Anyone? Thoughts?
Welcome to the new arrivals! Glad to see you on the other side!
AFM: glucose test on Thursday. Afraid doc will yell at me about my weight. Put on 24 lbs so far. :/
Wanted to run a couple of baby names by you guys.
For our boy... Ethan Finn. For our girl either Avery Meyers or Avery Lynn.
Background- Finn was our first choice but couldnt pick a middle name. Meyers is my grandmothers maiden name which is my choice, but my hubby likes Lynn after both of our mom's whose name is Linda. What's yall's thoughts?
Dallas: All are cute. Why not have two middle names? (I'm biased because I have two middle names ) Avery Lynn Meyers? Or Avery Meyers Lynn? I guess the flow depends on your last name as well . . .
Question for you all: Obviously I am very early in this game. I go for my second beta tomorrow. I can say that I can definitely tell something is happening in there. I'm already bloated, my appetite is low, I'm exhausted, etc. My burning question is about cramping. I've read and been told that it's totally normal. I have pretty constant cramping (no bleeding). The cramping mostly stops or becomes very light when I get off my feet and am able to lie down or at least lie back. Did you all have this too?

Blueeyed- I had terrible cramping... You are just fine! But you can plan on worrying for the entire pregnancy. It does let up a little bit in the 2nd trimester.
Dallas- I LOVE THE NAMES! I'm all for 2 middle names too, but if you have to choose 1 I'd go with Meyers. Sounds super classy.
AFM- flying to Baltimore tomorrow and in a hotel tonight so sorry for the lack of personals. Typing in the iPad is no fun! I switched doctors today and am sooooo happy with the decision. More later. Keep baking those beautiful babies.
