Hi,

it seems like I'm the only person left on this board, but since I started it, I"ll use it as a journal, I guess :-)
I am at 35 weeks now and my belly seems like it has almost doubled overnight.
The baby is kicking like crazy. Sometimes when I'm at work, I feel like I'm about to go into labor.
Energy level has definitely gone down and i try to nap as much as I can when time permits which, as the mom of a toddler, signifies almost never.
I can't believe the sleepless nights are around the corner. I can't believe that I will be holding another miracle soon!
It's exhilirating and scary all at once. I guess any second time mom goes through those feelings.
This pregnancy seems like it went by really fast.
I jusgt pray for a healthy baby.
Hope everyone else is doing well.

Hi Nancy! I am hanging around on the Beautiful Babies due 2011 board. However, I read this one when someone posts too. I just got the news today that due to how good little Denver looks, my high risk ob will recommend going to 39 weeks for my c-section. Less than 7 weeks away! Long, but short time. Isn't it funny how that seems to be the norm? Everything happens so fast, but so slowly at the same time.

Hi Mamaboo,

great to hear from you and that you are doing so well. Are you still on bedrest? Is the c-section mandated by your OB or a personal choice?

I know what you mean by so fast yet so slow. I feel that I stilll have so many things to do before the baby is born but by the same token, feel like 3-4 weeks is too long to keep carrying this belly which has become enormous this past week! :-)

Keep me posted on how things are.
Have a great week.

I am still on bed rest to keep baby in. I had a nonstress test today. Things looked good. I had a previous c-section and due to the TRAP pregnancy, and the fact that I am small boned and have had a fairly large baby, we decided to do a c-section again. I am fine with that. I know when he'll be here and I do not need to worry about the complications of labor.

Hi Nancy- Like mamaboo I am also hanging out a lot on the beautiful babies board a lot. Sorry I haven't kept in touch. I was 24 weeks yesterday and am feeling pretty good in the second trimester. I did get unusually tired today for the first time...but I'm blaming that on staying up last night to watch the Tigers beat the Yankees. :D Baseball post-season is a good prep exercise for the sleepless nights I have to come.

I can't believe you are going to see your little ones so soon! I am a little jealous, but like mamaboo said, it is weird how it goes so fast and so slow at the same time. I am enjoying being pregnant and am not in a hurry. I am just ready to see our little girl....but not yet of course!

Glad you are both doing well.

Hi ladies,

Blissful: great to hear from you. I am glad everything is going well in your pregnancy! Feeling tired; I know exactly how you feel!
When is your official due date?

Mamaboo: How many more weeks do you have left? Are you counting the days like I am?

I am at 37 + weeks. My OB wants to induce me in the next 10-14 days which is fine by me. I am both excited and scared. Not quite ready for the sleepless nights but either to meet my peanut. I will stop working after this week and plan to take it easy for the next few days.

Looking forward to hearing from you both.

I have a c-section schedule Nov 21. However, there is a possibility due to earlier complications and corrective procedures, I will go into labor earlier. I have been having contractions and cramping, but as of yesterday, I am not dilated at all. My fluid level was a little lower than it has been, and my ob ordered another u/s tomorrow before my NST. She thinks it may be due to my stressful weekend. My son had an abscess on his lower abdomen. I had him at pediatrician Fri who sent us to ER at Children's wanting him admitted to receive antibiotics by IV. Dr there lanced abscess and sent us home w/antibiotics. Sat, I thought it was getting worse. DH took him back to pedi. She drew a line around red area so we could tell for certain if it spread and gave us a different antibiotic to add. Within a few hrs, I could tell it was still spreading. We went back to ER, and they confirmed it. They opened it back up and cleaned it again, and kept him overnight to administer antibiotics by IV....Seriously, they should have just done that Friday. I stayed with him Sat night. I didn't sleep, drink, or eat right. Son came home late Sun afternoon. He had follow-up with pedi on Monday who confirmed his is on the mend. He was home w/me on Monday, but that was hard on me trying to be on "bedrest". DH stayed home w/him yesterday. He was back at daycare today. He is doing well, just a few more days of nasty antibiotics (that they cannot flavor) and changing bandages. Hopefully, now that I am resting, eating and resting better, my fluid levels are back up.

Mammaboo: I am so sorry that you had to go through this ordeal. How is your son doing now? Did the abcess resolve? Did he have to be hospitalized for this? Where was the infection located?
How are you feeling? Are you getting a chance to rest again? Please take good care of yourself. Believe me I know it's easier said than done.
I wish you and your son the best. Please keep me posted.

I am getting bigger and bigger and am scheduled for induction by the end of the week. We will see how things go.

Take care,
Nancy

Congrats Nancy on your upcoming induction. My son is doing well now. He was hospitalized overnight. However, the antibiotics by IV were just what he needed. The abscess was in his lower abdomen a little below his belly button. I have been getting more rest. However, having contractions and cramping off and on for a few days. I am over 35 weeks. Hope to keep him in til 37...

Good luck with your delivery. I look forward to hearing about the birth & seeing pics. :D
