Def-I'm with you on the etiquette question. I honestly don't know and will probably wait and see. I have friends who had another shower for their second, but I think it was on a smaller scale.

Def - I think it is up to your core group....my group is having another shower for me (partly because I think they just like an excuse to get together!). I live in Utah were big families are a dime a dozen and I find they have showers for each one since each baby is special....and since this is such a crazy journey for us girls I say heck ya have a shower! You worked hard for this bundle! So Enjoy!!

Dallas - Love your names....that is the hardest part the names! But yours are awesome I love them! I Like Meyers for the middle name, I like the maiden name idea my Mom's is Wolfe & am trying to incorporate that into the new babies name. I like deft idea too and Avery Lynn Meyers is special....

Blue - Cramping is normal they usually attribute it to uterine stretching.....I think you are good! You are prego girl!

Bliss - I used to spend a lot of time in Baltimore when I worked on the Marriott software program......thankfully I had family in VA so it wasn't all bad. Have a good trip & try to relax...Congrats on the new Doc....a great Doc makes all the difference in this process!

So for me I am a little behind...as for books or movies I read a little of a lot of books & just took what worked for me. I liked the happiest baby on the block except Em hated to be swaddled so that didn't help but other things did. The one thing I learned from it all was that she was joining our family and not the other way around so we just made sure we did what worked for us not what a book said. Movies I like right now is how to tame your dragon (remember I have a two year old) and I am really getting into American Horror Story (Creepy & weird but totally distracting!)

As far as a shower for the first one we had a diaper shower so everyone brought diapers and it was awesome since we didn't have to buy diapers for 3 months! And if you don't open the packages most stores will let you return for proper sizes. My family and very close friends hooked me up with clothes and so much more that I didn't want my friends & co-workers to stress about spending too much money & me having to return things. This time I wasn't sure but all my friends insisted and so I will have a shower again and will request diapers again since it is easy cheap and something you need a lot of!

All things are good we are about to be 25 weeks....everything so far so good measuring....baby will be a petite little girl they think....Em was a tank at 7lbs 12ozs! And that was teeny but this one might be smaller. I was under 6lbs and I am now 5'10 so clearly that means nothing! Can't believe it is approaching so fast! We are preparing to build Em's new room in the next couple of weeks so once that is done it will feel very real! Sounds like everyone is doing very well and babies are growing along nicely! Keep up the good work ladies.....

Thanks. I feel a little better about the cramping. I had bleeding on day 7 after transfer that was very short lived. I have seen a slight tinge of brown today but barely there and only if you look for it. I'm sure I will worry daily. My 2nd beta is in the morning. As for the progesterone, I'm on the progesterone in ethyl oleate. I'm allergic to the PIO (sesame) and the Crinone sups are disgusting.

As for the shower question, I really see it going both ways these days. It depends on your network of family and friends. I do know that all my friends who had a 2nd child of the opposite sex had showers. That way they could get boy things or girl things that they didn't have before.

Dallas-Love the names. I like Avery Lynn Meyers. It flows a little better than Meyers Lynn. I am partial to Lynn as it is my middle name

Gotta head to bed. Early morning and long day ahead. I still can't believe I am posting in this group!

What vitamin are you taking? I'm about to run out of my prenatals but don't know if I want to get the same ones. They are hard to swallow.

Blueeyed- I take Prenexa but it's EXPENSIVE. I find it's worth it because it's easy on the stomach and it has a stool softener. You will want that soon :-) It's a prescription and runs $50 for a 30 day supply. There is a $30 off coupon online though. Your OB when you make the switch will likely give you a stash of something good if you ask.

Katie- so good to hear from you Mama. Jumping on the plane in about 10 minutes. I've never been to Baltimore. Any tips or things to check out while I'm there? I will mostly be in meetings but might have some free time tonight. Normally I look forward to these trips but now I'm a nervous traveler with Evie tagging along. I really just want to be home with DH.

Motherhood is already changing me...

Bliss - I spent so much time there but to be honest I spent a ton of time at the Marriott complex since I was working so much. But if I remember correctly we took the train into DC once or twice easy ride and a nice to walk around the mall plus nice restaurants all around it. Have fun don't work too hard & don't stress too much about Evie....she is happy & comfy in her home :-) This is only the start of changes you will make for your little one....but life only gets better from here on out! Have fun.....

Hi Ladies - Making a quick check in and happy to see everyone is doing super well.

AFM - I am moving forward a day at a time and things are progressing along. It looks like my set of identicals will be boys and baby c just might be a boy as well but it was hard to confirm based on positioning. My home will turn into the wild wild west....

Probably not going to have a shower as I didn't with my first. I was forced to register and one friend just bought the entire registry and packages just kept showing up. It was amazing!! I haven't been really able to read anything much outside of work too hard to focus but I have read the multiples bible which was a really interesting read with valuable advice for a multiple pregnancy.

Will touch base again soon. Take care of yourselves.

The train into DC from the surrounding areas is super easy. Most hotels have a shuttle to the stations as well.

My second beta came in at 305 so all is looking good. My first U/S will be 11/11! Can't wait. It's going to be a long two weeks. My office won't do them any sooner because they say it is too hard to visualize.

I have mixed feelings about this crampiness! It tells me something is happening but worries me at the same time! I'm going to be worried for the rest of my life, aren't I?

Blue - I know it is easier said than done but try to relax and not worry so much. You are pregnant so just try to enjoy that! You hear ladies all the time that say they had cramps from day 1 to Week 40 and then some not at all. You can't judge yourself against other peoples pregnancies this is your pregnancy and each thing that happens will be unique to you & your body. Just try to relax and visualize your new baby in your arms and staring up into your eyes and you into hers/his....this is what you should concentrate on....this is your dream.....enjoy and relax.....

Hi everyone, I've been stalking for a while but to nervous to add myself to the group. I'm almost 8 weeks with twins, saw both HB's on Tuesday so I'm starting to realize that this is really happening. My EDD is 6/11 but since it's twins more likely around 5/20. As for shower with the second, I've seen it but only close family and friends that were probably going to get you something anyways.

I look forward to getting to know you all!

A little about me. We started TTC in 2005, my DH was not very interested in getting tested at first so it took us two years to finally end up doing IUI. It worked on the third try. We were so excited, our DD was born in March 2008. I stopped breastfeeding early so I could get going on #2, I had no idea how long it would take. My first cycle I was out of town for work during the time I would ovulate so we decided to wait for the next cycle. Somehow I got pregnant, must have ovulated early or late and naturally, no progesterone or IUI. My second was delivered 17 months later. We then thought our infertility struggles were over but after a year of trying to concieve #3 we tried four IUI's and they were all BFN. We moved to IVF and got a BFN for the first cycle and a BFP for the second. I was shocked to see two heartbeats, I thought for sure there was only going to be one. I'm a little nervous about having four kids, the oldest one being four but I know we will make it though just fine.

I'm a little more sick this time than I was with my first two pregnancies. I'm very tired and feel sick to my stomach. I am also already showing, which is shocking to me. I can still hide it but in a few weeks it will be pretty obvious. I am looking forward to learning more about everyone. Good luck with your pregnancies.
