Kat,

I would suggest going to the hospital for the remainder of your pregnancy. It's not worth the risk, and all you have put into having this sweet baby. I met a mom in the NICU that had a rupture and her baby had serious issues because of it. If there is any risk, it's worth being cautious.

They saved my little peanut because they had me stay. She wouldn't be here had they not insisted. Good luck, and I will be praying for you.

Kat- you have a very tough decision ahead of you. Even though I definitely wouldn't call this hospital bedrest fun by any means, its soooo nice knowing these babies we worked so hard for are doing ok. Daily monitoring x2, and bi-weekly BPPs let me know they are doing well, so I am perfectly fine with laying here. You have to make the decision that's right for you even though its tough.

The more I think about it the more I'm leaning towards going into hospital. I think right now the next day or two I'm going to plan for me to go in. We have so much stuff that needs to be done before I go in. I know the minute the pain gets bad again that I want to take a pain pill I will be going straight to the hospital though.

Ashley - Athena is gorgeous! Congratulations!

Annas - great to hear Paul is doing so well and you guys are trying again!

Margi - oh sweetie you are such a trooper!

Sweetpea - I will second that you should go to hospital

Blair - good job keeping those girls in!

Leora - cheering you for a healthy and wonderful singleton pregnancy!

kjm - how is the bfeeding going with twins?

Lou - gorgeous girl

Ryann - how do upload pics from iphone easily to here?

Stephanie - your boys are adorable!

Sorry I have been MIA I am trying to keep up and read but it is hard to post. Started work already and on what was supposed to be my first day... our DS woke up and promptly threw up all over me, the bed and himself... ok... then I finally use the potty after wrestling a puky 3 yo in the shower so we can get clean... and I am peeing red blood, WTF? ;) yeah run to the doctor to find out I have a narly UTI. THings are well now but it is hard being back to work. DS is in quite the phase and even head butted me on the mouth, how can my sweet little angel go from sweet to a mania in 3 seconds, oh the lovely threes! Lizzy is quite the happy baby, feeding well, sleeping well and always so happy. Barely cries just fusses to eat. But doesn't like to be put down wants to watch everything and be a part of everything. I swear I don't know how you twin mommies do it all. One of our dogs has gone a little psycho, she barks constantly at nothing, bark collars don't work, the ultrasound thing doesn't work. So she barks so much that our other dog gets stressed out and throws up everywhere. Needless to say there is no rest and I am a mess. Today when I was at work she tore up our bedroom door trying to get to our bedroom so she can "dig" on our bed where the baby sleeps. When I put her in the kennel she cries and throws herself against the walls, seriously does anyone know any doggie prozac? THe thing is she doesn't do this with dh home, only when it is me and the kids but dh is gone for a long time every day. Anyway thanks for letting me vent, I am very blessed but very overwhelmed, does that feeling ever go away?

Thanks to e'one for the blessings...Pix and birth story forthcoming. I just need to figure out how to upload on to here.

Sweetpea- I just wna throw my 2 cents on top of the others...Hospital is what I would recommend, but of course I'm not in your shoes. You've gone through so much, and the finish line is fast approaching with a beautiful prize. Lucky you found out before a rupture, so at least you have the option. The hospital is a major PIA, but it's the least riskiest option. All you need to do is get to 37 (39 or 40 being the goal).

Hi Ladies, I finally had a few minutes to catch up on my reading. Lots going on! Congrats Lou, kjm, margi and Ashley!!!

Blair: keep on cooking those girls, you're obviously doing an awesome job already. I made it to 30 weeks, and the boys did great. Probably because they were so big.

Kat: If I was in your position I would go to the hospital, I was lucky that I was in the hospital on bed rest since I dialated so quickly.

Leora: Best of luck with the FET!!

Stephanie: The boys are gorgeous and getting so big!

My boys are 6 months old already which is just unbelievable! Not sure where the time went. The boys had check ups yesterday. Will weighed 15 lbs and has his first ear infection and Wyatt was 13.11 lbs. They're both doing great, they started eating some cereal today. Wyatt rolls everywhere and Will scoots around on his belly. Here are a few pics of our happy boys. Gotta run, feeding time!

Dallas. That sounds very normal. I was always measuring about four weeks ahead. I also gained 30 pounds when i gave birth at 33.5 weeks. So i think you are right on track. Normal weight gain for twins should be 35 to 45ish is what i read.

Ryann. I just can not imagine going back to work yet. I talked to my boss today and he is going to look imto letting me go back three half days to start. I have great understanding bosses so that helps. Hope your twins start sleeping better. It is interestibg with twins.

Stephanie. Wow your twins are getting so big. Rolling. How much fun!

Kat. That sounds so scary. I think i would be admitted as well. It is just not worth all the risk. You have worked too hard to get here and you are almost to the finish. Yu will be in my prayers.

Rio. Breastfeeding is going well but it is hard. It takes so much time with the two and pumping. I nurse during the day but they are slow and fall asleep very easily so at night i pump and bottle feed. I had to start supplimenting formula this week. They are in a growth spurt and i can not keep up. I feel bad but i know i am doing my best. Wow, you have had a lot going on. I hope the dog starts behaving . We got kitty prozac but she wouldnt take it so im sure they have doggie. You would manage as a twin mom. It has to be hard with a three y/o as well. You just do what you have to do. I think most of us dont know anything different as well so i think that helps.

CRissy. Congrats. Looking forward to the pics and to hear your story.

Gina. What happy little boys you have! They are so cute. Wow Six months already! Time sure has flown by.

Blair. The twins and i are doing well. I am tired. It is not easy but so worth it. In the last week or so they have started to really look at me and into my eyes. It just melts your heart. I have been on my own this week. It is challenging but i love it. I am sad cause my dh called his mother to come back next week for a few days. Didnt ask me about it. I think it is more for him in the evenings when i lay down to take my nap. I do recommend getting as much help as you can and sleep when possible.

Rio. One more thing. Have you ever got a clogged milk duct? I hav ehad one on and off for three weeks. No fun! Started some ultrasound on it per my lactation consultant. Good thing i am a PT and have access. Also have done heat and massage. Any other suggestions?

kjm- Thanks. I am so excited that we made it this far...especially since they didnt think i would make it past 24wk6d. So glad to hear your little ones are doing well even though Im sure its exhausting. Even though it stinks that DH called him mom hopefully you will get some extra rest while shes here.

Gina- I cannot believe that those boys are getting sooo big. They are very handsome little guys!! I couldnt remember- how long were they in the NICU? Im trying to prepare myself for if/when the time comes that I have to leave them in the nicu.

Crissy- I cannot wait to hear Sages' birth story. So excited for you and its so good hearing from you. Almost bball season again!!

Rio- I am so sorry to hear how rough things went- puking 3 yo and UTI...blah. And having a crazy dog on top of that. Did you call and ask the vet? Ive heard dogs can struggle with bringing a new one home and they can give them something for it. I know you could also try benadryl- its based on the dogs weight so youd just have to look online and check. Good luck with everything.

Kat- So when will you be admitted to the hospital if thats what you decide? Even though it stinks it will be well worth it in the end.

AFM- wooo hooooo for 32 wks!!!! Even though none of the doctors thought I could make it, we proved them wrong. Next goal- 34 wks! Girls still seem to be doing well. Waiting for my BPP- despite having it scheduled, when at the hospital you just sit and wait for them to come get you. Luckily its not like I have a busy schedule.

Blair: Congratulations on making it to 32 weeks!!!! They were in the NICU for 8 weeks, both due to A's(apnea) and B's(bradycardia) and poor weight gain on Wyatt. As far as Apnea episodes they would have to not have any for 7 days straight to be released from the nicu without monitors at the hospital we were at. With Wyatt he had to also consistantly gain weight for 48 hours. And they had to pass a car seat test, be able to not have any apnea while in their seats for an hour. The best part about them being there for so long is that they can sleep through ANYTHING!

Gina- Your boys are so adorable. So happy to hear they are doing well.

Blair- Woo Hoo on the 32 weeks. What a great milestone. As fas I go not sure when I will get admitted. As long as I dont; have any severe painful epsisodes I'm hoping to put off going in until at least Tuesday so I ahve time this weekend to get my ducks in a row. None of Luca's stuff has been washedd and I would need to get a bag for him ready as well,as this is Chris's first kid and he wouldn't have a clue on what to pack for him when the time comes. What do you recommend I take to hospital with me for such an extended stay. My c-section if I make it is schedule for 12/12. So I'm loooking at almost 6 weeks. Do you think they will let me take my printer in so I can work in the hopsital? I know I'm packing my Kindle;)

Kjm-That's amazing you are even able to breast feed twins. I would think that is really hard to do. Your a very strong woman.

Crissy- Looking forward to hearing your birth story and seeing pics.

Riogrl- OMG that sounds liek a rough time on your first day back to work. So sorry to hear that. Hope you and your son I both feeling better. So glad Lizzy is doing so well. As far as your dog I think they do have that stuff. It's amazing what they have for dogs. A lot of stuff they give us they give the dogs. I remember giving my dog benedryl per vet.

Mellow- That is so sad about that woman in the NICU. So glad you decided to stay as well. I'm definitely going to go into hopsital next week or thr following. I will have my bag packed when I go see the doctor on Tuesday. They are not concerned about me rupturing in the next week but as he gets bigger they do.

AFM: Just sitting here in bed working. Pains come and go but not that bad. I'm so scared now. I knew I risked rupturing if I went into labor do to having prior classic but not my previous incision thinning and possibly coming apart as my uterus grew. Now I see why they don't want you having more than 3. I'm on my 3rd. It's scary I just read MRI report and where the thinning area is the thickest part is 1.5mm and .5 being the average thickness. Under 2.3 puts you at great risk for uterine rupture. And she said that the MRI can only show them so much. So hospital stay is definitely going to happen. Chris will help this weekend getting my stuff ready and a bag packed. My life is too important and i have to think of the 2 kids I already have and not be stupid and selfish and stay home and risk anything. The weird thing is when I came up from my MRI and as soon as my wheel chair reached my bed the radioligist was already on the phone with the doctor on call telling her about the thinning. According to my MFM she said Dr. Yum must not have had full report as I never would have been allowed to leave especially since I was in so much pain. But I know she was told about the thinning as she told me but when she told me I thought she was talking about my cervi thinning not my uterus. Kind of pissed at this Dr. Yum.

Kat- Glad you decided to go with hospital bedrest. Being there in case anything were to happen is best for you and Lucas. As for waiting to go...just make sure you dont over do it at home. Even though you feel like you have tons to do, its not worth risking anything. I still havent washed anything for my girls, and apparently our living room is just bags of baby stuff from all the showers. If I had it my way it would all be washed and put away where it needs to go. Just be very careful- its crazy how just standing or doing what you would have called "normal" activity can stir things up. As for your hospital stay and what to pack:
-yoga/lounge pants
-comfy maternity shirts
-blow dryer/straightener/make-up (as dumb as it sounds since you will be in bed all day, showering and "getting ready" are the only things that make you feel normal)
-snacks (youll get sick of hospital food within 2 wks)
-pillow/blanket
-towels (the hospital towels feel like sandpaper)
-journal to document what happens each day (boring but Lucas may want to read it)
-whatever you need for work
-house shoes
-laptop
I had a bunch of magazines, puzzle books, games that people brought me at the beginning, but since the nurses/aides/doctors end up coming in so often I never really used them. It takes a little bit to get used to but just keep telling yourself its best for you both to be there-makes it easier to handle. Try to come up with a daily routine to help make things as normal as you can. Feel free to message me whenever- i get my emails sent to my phone so Im here all day :D. Good luck and let me know if you need anything.

Margi -- Congrats on bringing BOTH babies home! They are so precious! What do they weigh now? As for the nipple flow... our pediatrician said it shouldn't take the baby more than about 20 minutes to eat and if it is, then try to increase the nipple flow. We are using Avent and Dr. Browns and moved to a level 2 on both. He said as long as there aren't gulping noises and formula leaking out the sides of the mouth, then it's the right size. So far, so good for us! We made this change after our 2 week appt.

Blair -- Congrats on reaching 32 weeks. Well done!

kjm -- Totally know what you mean about looking at your child in disbelief. I feel the same way. :D

Ashley -- Congrats on your delivery! Athena is such a pretty girl like her mommy! Post more pics when you can. Is your mom still in town?

Stephanie -- Jaxon and Brady are soooo darn cute! They've gotten sooo big!!!

Crissy -- Congrats on the arrival of Sage! How wonderful you were able to hang on until 37 weeks! Can't wait for pics.

Leora -- Wishing you tons of luck for your upcoming FET.

Annashope -- How are you doing? Let's see some new pics of little Paul!

Amanda -- How big is Maribel now? Any new pics to share?

Bliss -- Glad you are happy with your decision to switch doctors. It will make your birth experience so much better.

SD -- Any news???

Ryann -- Wow, you were able to start cereal at 3 months? How is that going? I thought it was recommended to wait until at least 4 months. How did you know they were "ready" for it? Is it helping them sleep through the night? Any constipation issues? You are doing great if you are working full time and also a twin mom. Who watches them when you both are at work?

Kat -- I'm sorry to hear your news but I have to agree with everyone else. You should be in the hospital. Your situation sounds like it could get scary without proper monitoring. I know you had an issue in the past that landed you in the intensive care and we certainly don't want that again. You're going to do great and have a healthy delivery.

Rio -- Sorry you had such a crazy first day back at work. How is DS feeling? How is your UTI? That sounds awful! Glad to hear Lizzy is such a good baby. That certainly helps. Your dog issues sound the most challenging. I have no idea what could help. I agree... ask your vet.

Gina -- 6 months!!! Where did the time go? They are precious and sooo handsome. Congrats.

AFM -- We're doing pretty well. Chloé eats at about 10PM then wakes around 3AM and is back to sleep in about 40 minutes. Then she gets up about 8AM and I get up with her. I'm still tired most of the time and my c-section area is still sore but I'm loving every minute of this! The past month has gone by so fast, I can't believe I'll be back to work before the year is out. Boo!

Kjm - yes I had clogged ducts, you are already doing heat and massage, what happened to me is a little bit of fat in the milk got hard and clogged it, after a nice warm shower look at your nipple, squeeze it a little and look for tiny white dots, try to get those out if you can, one time I used tweezers, but don't dig in or hurt yourself, mine resolved by doing that, I hope it works for you. You are doing an amazing job of bfeeding and don't worry about supplementing you do what you can. The bonding and benefits are there of bfeeding even if just once a day! I know what you mean about sleepy and it being hard. It gets better, they get more alert and better at emptying you out quick. Again don't worry about it and just do what works for you!

SD How are you feeling hun? Your mom there, I hear ya on the mom issues so if you need to vent don't hesitate to pm me or do it here, I completely sympathize!

Blair Congrats on a huge milestone! How awesome! Those girls are going to be soooo cute! I am sure you are bored but it is all for a good cause! Update us on any new gossip, do you have a computer or isomething there?

Lou Try some scar away silicone sheets, realy helped me keep the itch and burning down and not rub against clothes. Amazing how we can be so tired, so sore and sooo happy!

Sweetpea I am so sorry for the scare but glad you are going to go to the hospital for observation, please don't try to do too much this weekend, things can wait and you will manage if things aren't quite ready, don't push yourself too hard try and take it easy!

Gina 6 mos? where has time gone? Your boys are super cute!!!!! Love the holding hands one! I am sorry I forgot the name of the condition but how are they doing?

Mellow - when is your big move? How is Marlo?

Margi I hope Sofia is home and your mom is behaving and helping!!!

Thanks for all the simpathy, sometimes it is so nice to vent to girls who totally get being so happy but so overwhelmend at once! I am feeling better and just little blood now, DS is well and we are going to try and get some doggie prozac, she is crated today so hopefully that should make her calm down. Bfeeding is going really well. It is nice tohave some quiet time at work but quiet and super busy!!!!! I miss my kids so much, I really need to play the lottery, although DS really bebefits from "school" but as a baby I just want her with me all the time. Thanks again for listening!
