Rio

wow I can totally relate so here is my little vent...I too feel overwhelmed and wonder how you amazing twin mamas do it. Paul is almost 12 weeks old now and I still have yet to sleep more than 2 hours...He takes little cat naps and then his major awake time is from 10 pm to 3 am although last night he partied till 5 am. DH and I are exhausted since regardless of when Paul goes to bed we are up at 7...he goes to work and I have to get Christopher ready to go. Rio I also have 2 dogs if you remember (German Sheppard and a Golder retriever) well in the past week the golden caught a yeast infection in her ear and so to help her the sheppard licked her ear and neck until they were bleeding...I rushed her to the vet and after $200 and shaving half of her neck and face she had to be on antibiotics 2x a day plus benadryl for itching plus ear cleaning and drops....NEXT the Sheppard got a huge lump on his neck and is now also on antibiotics for an inflamed salivary gland so between the breastfeeding and the sick dogs plus my 16 year old baby brother lives with me and so that's more mess and another child to watch whew!!!!! I am a bit flustered....Don't get me wrong I am very blessed and praise God for my little miracle Paul every day but I wonder if it gets easier. I have tried everything to rotate Paul's day/night but nothing works...I guess he will just have to grow out of it.

Thank you ladies for letting me vent :)
Blair Yay on making 32 weeks!!!!

annashope - LOVE the new pic of Paul! He is such a cutie! I'm sorry you still aren't getting much sleep, ugh! Hope things calm down for you soon (and I must agree, I don't know how the twin mommies do it either!)

rio - Damn, you've had some rotten luck too! Glad Lizzy is doing well and hope your doggie troubles go away soon!

Gina - the boys are adorable! Glad you posted some new pics!

ashley - Athena is a beauty! Hope you both are doing well.

blair - YAY for making it to 32 weeks! You are doing great and must be thrilled to keep on plugging along!

Kat - Glad you're going to go to the hospital. And I agree with others - don't push things this weekend. Honestly you'll need so little for the baby in the hospital, do the bare minimum this weekend.

lou - I'm so glad things with Chloe are going well! I loved that pic of her with your hubby. Soooo darn cute!! And Maribel's doing well. She had 2 months in between appointments so her next one is 11/21. I'm not sure how much she weighs now but she has to be over 14 pounds, cause she's a little chunker! :D

EOE, I read every day and hope you're all doing well!

AFM, things are going well here. Maribel is just a bundle of laughs and smiles so I'm loving every minute of being home with her. She's finally slept through the night a few times so she's headed in the right direction with her sleep habits. She often sleeps from about 9pm-430am but there are nights she still gets up for a bottle in between (around 2 or 3am.) She's fully on formula now so while I'm really missing breastfeeding, she seems to be doing great with it (and like others, I'm a huge fan of the Dr Brown bottles.) I didn't want to wean her off of the breast yet but I'm having issues with my joints so needed to start taking pain meds and meet with a rheumatologist next week (I have a long history of autoimmune disorders so doc's not sure if I've acquired another one...ugh!) Anyways, Maribel was eating lots and often and would mimic us eating when she sat at the table with us for dinner so we started her on some runny rice cereal at dinnertime about a week & a half ago. She did great with it. Then yesterday I made her some acorn squash and she had some of that for dinner too. Here are some pics, one with DH at 15 weeks and one from yesterday with her squash/rice cereal mixture all over her face, hands, high chair, etc. (Sorry if one of the pics is huge, I resized it in photobucket and it's still enormous...grrr!)

Just popping on really quickly. I'm still doing ok but may go into hospital sooner. No worries on me doing anything. All I've done is shower today and work on my computer. I will be having Chris do all the work. I've got to go make him a huge list now that I'm finally done work for the day.

Blair thank you for the list. I would have forgotton slippers. I've been meaning to buy some new ones. I like those ugg looking ones with the fur that you can wear inside and out;) I think I'll be sending Chris over to Target later with my list. I figured I deserve some new pj's for the hospital.

Klinger-Maribel is adorable. Glad things are going well with maribel and sleeping. So sorry you ahd to give up breastfeeding. But you need to take care fo yourself.

Anna-I'm so sorry to hear about tyour dogs and baby Paul not sleeping that well. That must be so tough and to have your younger brother and son to take care of too. You sure have your hands full. Baby Paul is adorable though :)

Riogrl-I hear you on playing that lottery. Hoping cratign her helped a little. Sounds like you coudl use a nice bath with a glass of wine;)

Lou-Wow she sleeps so well. That is awesome. Ya the c-section takes a while to fully heal.

Sorry if I missed anyone.

Hi ladies! Sorry it took so long but I'm back! I had a really fast delivery followed by a baby Darius having a brief nicu stay so things were hectic.

Darius James was born on 10/26 at 4:44am (got to the labor deck at 2am almost 9 cm dilated) had a natural delivery which was my hope but frankly I didn't really have any alternative at 9cm and progressing quickly. He was born so fast they they he swallowed a lot of fluid so was breathing too quickly. They wanted to make sure he didn't have pneumonia so they did some tests and kept him on antibiotics for a couple days. We're finally home!!

He was huge! 9 lbs 2 oz
Me/DH 36
1 tube/low morph
TTC since 2008 only one spontaneous in 2012
Ivf 1-1/2009 DS
FET- miscarried
Ivf 2.- 10/11 DS
12/12 miscarried (spontaneous pregnant, so cliche minus the miscarriage part)
Now--- back to TTC at home in hopes for a final addition

SD. Congrats on baby Darius birth. Wow that was quick. And double wow for natural birth of a nine pound baby. Can not wait to see pictures! Glad you are all home healthy!

Kat. Hoping you are in hospital or very restful at home

Blair. Always great to see you post cause we know you are still carring those little ones.

Amanda. Maribel is beautiful! I cant believe she still has all that hair - love it!

Anna. Wow, you have a lot going on. Paul is so handsome. I hope he starts sleeping better for you.

Rio. Thanks for encouragement. I think i am calling my ob about duct monday. It maybe worse than that. I just csnt seem to change it. Glad you are feeling better. Hope the doggie prozac works.

Lou. That is great that chloe is sleeping so well. I am jealous. Mine are still up about every three hours. Leave me with maybe 1.5 hours sleep in between if all goes well.

Margi. I hope you are doing alright and enjoying those babies at home. It is so great to be able to hold them all you want - thats what i enjoyed most when they came home. I hope sofia's brady's are getting better.

Afm. The babies are getting bigger and so much more alert. They have had a couple on great days that almost resemble a pattern. Nights are still hard but hopefully they will sleep longer intervals soon.

I Just wanted to update birth story and post some pics as promised...On Fri 10/28 at 3 am I started with what thought were BH, however I had about 12 of these per hour til 6am so I called the doc and I went in to be checked. I had been threatening to deliver since 29 weeks without any cervical change, so I didn't think this time would be any different. Turns out I had a "fingertip" opening which to my doc was significant since I had several previous surgeries and she didn't want to risk uterine rupture. I had a c sec and Sage was born at 2:01 pm at 37 weeks and 1 day! I really wanted to get to 37 :)
Any hoo here's some pix...sorry about the sizing. IDK how to make it smaller.

Rio-I just saw your pOst now for some reason! I'm sorry for all the trouble :-( talk about stressful. In all seriousness tho, my mom's chihuahua has to take Xanax daily for extreme anxiety. As for the photos-I downloaded the photobucket app. You upload your pics to the app and then it gives you the img code to paste.

Sd-congrats!!!

Blair-keep On cookin momma!!!

Lou-my doc recommended the cereal for reflux at 2 months. The bottle wasn't working too well-it would either clog or come out too fast so he said to try with a spoon. It hasn't been going well, so I just try every so often to see if they're "ready". This last time I tried I thought D was ready for sure, but he's decided he isn't. I won't push it at all, I'm just hop
