My fourth Beta is in and my numbers almost doubled in 48 hours to 1653! Doctor says we look great so far! Here is a list of my beta tests so far!

•Beta Test #1 - 11/1/2011 (8 days after 5d transfer) 4:15 PM- Beta 146
•Beta Test #2 - 11/3/2011 (10 days after 5d transfer) 3 PM- Beta 284 (doubling time = 48.96 Hours)
•Beta Test #3 - 11/8/2011 (15 days after 5d transfer) 6:45 AM - Beta 886 (doubling time = 68.23 Hours)
•Beta Test #4 - 11/10/2011 (17 days after 5d transfer) 6:45 AM - Beta 1653 (doubling time = 51.45 Hours)

We go in for an ultrasound next Thursday to see how things are progressing. There shouldnt be a heartbeat present their so we are not expecting it since it will only be about 3.5 weeks after transfer. Ill post updates after the first us Feel a little relieved right now., whhheeeew!

I am so sorry girls that I kept you waiting for my results today...but it was negative and I'm so numb from the negatives that it didn't really surprise me all that much. Yes I was hopeful and even prayed but right now apparently this is not His will and I cannot keep trying to reason with it. I am lost right now, don't know what our next steps should be, dh wants to get our RE's perspective of what he saw dfferently this time. All I know is this isn't an exact science and there are no guarantees...I keep mentioning adoption to dh but he still hasn't come around to that, I think we will be childless if we cannot adopt. I am sick of injections, the uncertainities and flat out tired of dissappointments, I sometimes pray to God that I can accept things the way they are, but I'm struggling, I definately need some time to figure things out. For now, I don't have a direction so I need lots of prayers. Annabelle (my neighbor's little girl) is the only thing that brightened my night and on my way home from the clinic I stopped by Publix for birthday cupcakes as she celebrated her 10th birthday with me tonight. I was glad her mom let her come over for the evening to hang out with me. I just updated to add a picture of her tonight. xoxo C

Sunshine-I am sorry. I was really hoping you would get a BFP this time. I wish I had answers to give you or something I could say to make you feel better. I am here for you if you need someone to talk to. I don't know what plans God has for you but I know that they are great plns and that he will guide you towards your next step. Sunshine - (((((hugs)))))) I am so, so sorry. You are in my thoughts. I am so glad you have Annabelle in your life to help brighten your days. I hope your RE will have some good advice for moving forward.

Jayne - I am so so sorry for your bad news. I totally understand about the running, I also find it totally cathartic. Big hugs to you. I am thinking of you as you decide how to move forward. What is the story with India? Why would they close adoptions to the U.S. (don't mean to be annoying by asking, I am just curious)?

As for who uses lupron, the lupron (agonist) protocol is often used as a first IVF protocol for predicted good responders. People usually get a good response with it and the suppression beforehand helps prevent a dominant follicle. However, I think the antagonist protocol (ganirelix/cetrotide) is becoming increasingly popular, even as a first try protocol, since it is shorter and fewer shots.

Ninde - Sounds like you had a productive day! I hope the beta is negative and you can begin to move forward. I am doing pretty well…thanks for asking. I am just incredibly anxious. I want so, so badly for this to work out and I think of my little embryos all day long wondering what is going on with them!

Julia - Ahhhh, the 2ww is tortuous, especially that last little part! I really hope you will get great news on the 14th. The cramping sounds like it could be a promising sign.

LYD - GOOD LUCK!!! So exciting that you are able to move forward before the holidays - I hope you will spend the holidays celebrating great news

Kerpupples - Glad you are feeling a lot better! Enjoy the yoga. I hope that the chromosomal analysis will be very helpful to you guys and result in transferring the best possible embryos.

Gina - You and your whole family have been in my thoughts. I am sorry things have been so tough lately. I hope you have brighter days ahead very soon.

Leora - That is pretty crazy that no one mentioned this trip to you until now. Truthfully, I always find those work kind of trips socially stressful, even if in principle they sound fun. Maybe you guys could plan a weekend trip to Eilat some time over the next couple of months, just the two of you? I bet that would be even more enjoyable than this work trip. I do think proceeding with the FET is absolutely the right choice - it has been on the horizon so long and you have been working so hard to get to this point. In fact, I think if you did know about the trip in advance and made plans to go and do the FET the following week, you probably still would be feeling very anxious on the trip. I am so excited for next week - continuing to send lots of good vibes your way!

Thanks for all of the kind thoughts before and after my transfer, ladies! I am just feeling very, very anxious and hoping for some sort of a positive sign...a little cramping, twinges...something. This morning I am going to get my hair cut and highlighted as a pick-me-up...IVF always makes me feel so unattractive and bloated. I am hoping doing something for my appearance will make me feel better!
