Chris- so excited for you!

Blair- bah!!!! Sory to hear about the infection. I'm sure they will be just fine but that stinks!

AFM- well ladies... Yet another one of us is having complications!!! Ugh!

I started bleeding tonight and went to the ER just absolutely certain I had already lost our little girl. I hadn't felt her move much all day but I also had a pretty full and stressful day. Turns out baby is just fine and everything looked good on the ultrasound. They don't know what caused it and are keeping me overnight for monitoring. Cervix is closed up tight and I'm not having contractions. Placenta cord and fluids look great. The bleeding has stopped so assuming everything continues to go well they will send me home tomorrow. Keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

good luck, chris!

Bliss-- I'm so sorry to hear about your scare! but so relieved to hear that everything is okay. sorry I've been MIA, just adjusting to no sleep. I can't wait until your lil girl is in your arms!

Ryann- your pictures are adorable.

Blair- I'll be thinking of your lil' ones, I hope they'll be home soon.

happybunny- brook is adorable!

AFM- all is well with my little chunky monkey. He's fast approaching 10lbs at just 2 weeks old. He's feeding well and we're cosleeping which i totally love, the bonding is amazing. I co-slept my 1st for his first year and found that I was able to get better sleep and keep up with the breast feeding more easier with co-sleeping than trying to manage sleeptraining him while working. Everyone said "sleep training just takes a 3-4 days and then its over" but for me personally i could never seem to make it more than 2 nights before breaking down and just cuddling him up when he cried. I think with this lil guy i'm not even going to bother thinking about it until he's 1 year, i made so many failed attempts to sleep train my 1st i don't even want to think about trying it for a long, long time. we got a king sized bed, so i figure we'll just be cozy in there for a year. who knows maybe he'll surprise me and sleep by himself!! (a gal can dream can't she?)

Alisa - OMGoodness!!! I was already breaking down in tears while reading your post, then had to re-read it a few times to be sure that all was ok. I couldn't even imagine being in your shoes for that kind of scare! Praying for you and your tiny daughter!

Chris - Best wishes for tomorrow!!! Try to remember we're all on pins and needles to hear how everything goes!

Mamaboo: Glad that you are hanging in there....not long now! You are doing awesome baking that LO. Wow...just 2 weeks. And is your DS all healed and better?

Kat: Thank you for the compliment on my miracles. You really need to take it easy my friend. Rupturing your uterus is not something to chance. So glad that pain is subsiding and that Lucas is doing well. 5 weeks isn’t long at all!! And he will be in your loving arms.

Lou: Sorry to hear about how fast leave is going. I agree completely. I can’t believe my LO’s are almost 5 weeks old already. ((HUGS)) as you find a daycare that meets your needs for dear Chloe.

Rio: How is it going workin' momma? Furbabies better? You adjusting? :(

Blair: The girls look great! Sorry to hear about the MRSA, but testing positive doesn’t mean they “have” it, just exposed to it, right? I know a lot of emotions with NICU in general, I am sure the extra precautions must add stress. I had more than one crying episode in the NICU myself. I hope that you have a wonderful team of supportive nurses. I am so glad that we did. It really helped. Do you get to have “primary” nurses? So that the same few nurses are assigned to your babies? I found that helpful too.

Karin: So happy for the update! Glad the boys are doing well.

Ryann: Family photo is TOO cute.

Gina: Ugh--ear infections. But glad it isn’t keeping them “down” they look amazingly happy and cute.

Barbara: Brooke is an absolute doll baby! Love the bunny costume!

Chris: TODAY is the DAY!!! Jake will soon be in your arms. So excited for you!!

Alisa: What a horrible scare!! You poor thing. Definitely need to TAKE IT EASY. Rest up.... Sending you prayers and positive energy. (((HUGS)))

SD: Wow...10 lbs!? Awesome! :-) Sounds like you are getting into a nice groove--even if still sleep deprived. I keep my LO’s close to me all night as well--couldn’t imagine anything else.

AFM: Exhausted and happy. MIL is coming to visit today...yea...not. Oh, well. She will only be here for the weekend. DH decided to re-tile the downstairs bathroom. He said it would take one afternoon....well, 3 days later there is still NO TOILET in the downstairs bathroom. His mom is coming today, but this weekend is the Brit Milah (Jewish circumcision) and Simchat Bat (naming ceremony) for our LO's at the house. Not a lot of people will be coming, but a fair number (like 10-15). A toilet would be nice. LOL. He promises all will be done before then and it will look really nice. Men.

Alisa- So sorry for your scare. Thoughts and prayers are with you that all will be well and you will be going home today.

Margi- OMG on your husband. Sounds like something mine would do. Sometimes these men don't think. I will be praying he finishes it.

Sd-Glad things are going well and the co-sleeping is working out. I like you co slept with my son. Loved it. Angela wouldn't co-sleep but you could always put her to bed and she would fall asleep on her own and not cry so it worked out. Not sure how this baby will be but we will soon find out. I know I will cave if he cries and I already know Chris will. He slept on the floor next to our puppy Max's kennel the first 2 weeks so the dog wouldn't cry.

AFM: I've been pain free all week. :) So happy. 4 more weeks and we will be having our little one. I sure hope it goes by fast because I'm super excited to meet him. This weekend my Mom is bringing my son Ty down from college (love he picked a college 100 feet from my Mom's house) Plan on going out to dinner with my Mom and kids. Doctor already said I could do that. She just wants me not to do anything crazy like housecleaning, excercising or staying on my feet for long periods. I'm really proud of myself for being so lazy. It's not easy but I do it for Lucas :)

SD, kat, or anyone- what is co-sleeping? Does that literally mean having the baby in your bed at night? If so, how is that safe? I have Chloe in a bassinet in our room and my pediatrician is pushing us to put her in her crib down the hall. I'm not ready for that yet!

Congratulations Chris on the birth of baby Jacob

Lou Paul has been sleeping next to me in bed for the past 2 months. I guess it depends on if you are a calm sleeper or not. I hardly move in my sleep and so he sleeps next to me...right next to my chest and through the night he snacks when he is hungry. Also I am a very light sleeper and wake easily when he moves. We have installed a bedrailing from babiesrus and ever since I have had him with us our nights are so easy plus I love the snuggles. I know some people use a little baby bed in their own bed too. I think babies sleep better because they can smell their mommy nearby. Also I have read a lot on how having the baby close to you at night and during the day is really good for the baby because they can have really bad separation anxiety. There are different styles of parenting and my sister-in-law put my nephew in his crib in his own room from the start and it worked for her I think it just depends on what you are comfortable with.

Here are a couple of the latest pics of my little munchkin....yes his hair is turning red :)

Hey everyone! I am home again and doing fine. They still don't know exactly what caused the bleeding but suspect it is just a small vessel in the lower part of the placenta or cervix since the bleeding was brief and moderate. I am on pelvic rest and no exercise until I have had a week with no bleeding or residual bleeding. It feels good to be home.

It was interesting to have a practice run at the hospital and get to know the nurses. :-) Whoever it was that said to make sure you pack chapstick was right (I think it was Rio). Those rooms sure are dry!

Chris- Yay on baby Jacob! Rest up and send pics when you feel well. Welcome Jacob! Are you going to call him Jake?

So much going on! I am reading along as things come, just don't have a lot of time to post lately. Marlo is doing well. She is 6 months old now, just 13 weeks adjusted though. :) 10lbs 5oz, and is little miss attitude lately. She cracks me up. Anyway, I hadn't posted a pic in a long time, so I thought I was long over due for one. Here she is!
