Alisa- so glad you're home and the incident seems to be minor. Take it easy!

Mellow- love the pic of marlo. She's still such a peanut! Chloe is almost 10 lbs at 6 weeks old. What is her developmental age?

Anna- thanks for the explanation of how you are co-sleeping. I sleep so heavy that the dog barking and baby crying in the same room doesn't always wake me.

Mellow - I love, love, love the pic of Marlo!! She is sooooo darn cute!!

Annashope - Love the pics of Paul. What a cutie he is!

Chris - Congratulations on Jacob's arrival! Can't wait to see pics!

Barbara - Brooke is a beauty! Glad to hear she's doing so well!

Lou - LOL on how you can sleep through the dog barking/baby crying. That's just like my DH! We don't co-sleep either for a couple reasons. One, our dog sleeps on our bed and he loves to snuggle. I'd be afraid he'd snuggle right on top of her. And two, our little girl is a really noisy sleeper. She's always flailing her arms, snorting, etc. I'd never get a wink of sleep if she slept with us (not to mention that my paranoia of rolling onto her or blocking her airway somehow would keep me up all night.) We had her in her bassinet in our room for the first 8 weeks or so and then moved her into her crib in her room. I was sad to move her in there the first night, but then found I slept so much better with her out of our room. We do have a video monitor so I still hear her snorting, but it's definitely not as loud as when she was right there with us. I love my little girl, but damn, I need what little sleep I can get these days. :D

Anna - What a BABE you have there! Paul is so darn cute with that little red head of his! Love his chubby cheeks

Mellow - WOW! Marlo is soooo beautiful and happy looking! Thanks for sharing an updated pic, it sure put a huge smile on my face.

Amanda - I LOLed at the snorting and arm flailing! Too cute to have a little snorter! Hehehehe

We, too, bed shared/co-slept (and still do from time to time if they let us) since it was IMPOSSIBLE to get our guys to sleep at the same time for any period of time let alone extended periods of time. I really think it helps babies figure out the day/night thing since they learn from us that way. The snuggle time is my favorite, too! However Brady and Jaxon are getting so independent as they get older, which is a blessing to not have "high maintenance" babies, but so sad for me that they sleep better in their cribs or swings or even on the floor rather than snuggling with Mommy :(

Hope everyone's having a great weekend!

Sorry I've been so MIA. So much to catch up on. Just having SUCH a difficult time with breastfeeding - I have mastitis, blocked ducts, and I'm pretty sure a yeast infection. Ugh. But I'm determined to breastfeed my child so I've been going through the nasty pain. LOVE my little angel though. Baby's crying.. gotta run. Will catch up soon. <3

JACOB IS HERE!!! Was born on 11/11/11 @ 835 CST.. he weight 8lbs 12 oz and 22 inches long. he is so adorable and so sweet the only time he really gets upset is if you unswaddle him. Breastfeeding isn't going as well as planned but heck its only day 2. I had a nurse today that wasn't as nice as it think she should be. She pretty much didn't help much with the breastfeeding and said, that boys a big boy and needs to be feed. Then at one point, said that if i couldn't get him to feed within the next 30 min then i had to supplement. Me feeling bad cus i am thinking he is really hungry ended up supplementing. Now i don't feel so bad cus he really didn't want the formula anyway. guess he just wants a sleepy day. Delivery was pretty much uneventful. Went in for the c-section at 810 and he was here by 835. I am still trying to recover. I hurt more from the air that entered my body, making my shoulders and neck hurt, then i feel with my incision. hopefully going home on Monday. here are a few pics.

Chris - Jacob is such a handsome little guy! Congratulations again! And BOO to that nurse! They should never push someone into supplementing. Babies need so little those first few days and they are really sleepy (can't be easy being born.) :D Good luck with the breastfeeding and enjoy your little bundle of joy!!

Blissful: I am so sorry about your scare. Hoping you and LO are doing well. As we all know, there are a number of reasons for bleeding that are not cause for concern. However, it doesn't mean it won't scare us to death if we start. I was also glad to see how far along you are. You want to keeping baking as long as possible, but it is reassuring to know that your little one is able to make it in the outside world if need be. I was soooo happy to make it to 28 weeks! Hoping you continue to bake your little one.

Tohavefun: congrats! What a wonderful day it is when you have your little one! I understand the neck/shoulder pain. I had forgotten about that part, but it is yucky!

AFM: I guess I'm next on deck. Just 8 days! My son, Boothe, is all healed from the staph infection. We are almost completely ready for little one to arrive. Need to hang the curtains in the nursery, put the second bassinet together (We had one we could not find the stuff for. I was sure we saved it with the guest room stuff. DH insisted he had already unpacked everything from the guest room. Well, when he was cleaning out the garage, he found a box from the guest room he had missed. We have already put the new bassinet together & gotten rid of the box, so no returning. :? ). We r also waiting for his swing to arrive. I am so looking forwarding to Denver's arrival!

Chris - CONGRATS on "little" Jacob's arrival!!! He is sooooo handsome! Have you considered making a complaint to the hospital about her bad bedside manner? Especially in postpartum, shouldn't nurses and staff be happy and make you feel special being a new parent?? Geeeeez! Amanda's right about the supplementing, babies don't need much food at all the first few days as your milk's coming in.

Congratulations Chris Jacob is so cute!! And if I were you I would ask to be assigned to a differant nurse. I literally told a nurse off and to get out of my room. I was assigned a new one immediately. She was basically telling me the pain I was experiencing was in my head. I was internally bleeding!

Chris- what a handsome little man he is!! Congrats on a job well done.

Mama boo- not too much longer until you get to meet your little one!!

Bliss- how are things going with you? Big blue bball season is upon us and it's looking like we may have an exciting season again. I assume you've already gotten her some uk gear?

Afm- sorry for the lack of personals. I'm still getting used to the "routine" here at the hospital. I'm going to ask the MD today if we have a tentative timeline for when they can come home. They are both doing great and are up to 4lb9oz (birth weight) and 4lb10oz (bigger than birth weight)! Not to mention they are both in big girl beds. I hope they handle the open cribs well. I am beyond excited to get them home with us. When we are home at night I try to catch up on all the lost time i missed while i was i the hospital- laundry, organizing, taking stuff back to store, shopping...etc. DH even installed the car seats yday.

Blissful- Glad to hear you are home. How are you feeling today?

Mellow- Marlo is so pretty!!

Anna-Paul is adorable!! Love the picture of you and him.

Klinger13- A snorter and a mover. I would definitely have to do the same as you and put her in her room in order to get any sleep. I don't move a wink when I sleep but I'm such a light sleeper that the littlest noises wake me.

Mamaboo- Glad Booth is doing well and you guys are all set for Denver's arrival.

Blair- Glad to hear the girls are doing well. Hopefully the MD gave you an answer otday as when they might be able to go home.

Lou-I'm so jealous of you and anyone that you can sleep through anything. I hate being a light sleeper.

AFM: Little man is moving in some wierd places and he's literally hurting me terribly. My Mom brought my son home from college for the weekend and we all had a good time. It was nice to get out and go to dinner. They helped finish a few things with Lucas's room. I was able to get the shelves on the wall even though one of them I really don;t ahve anything to put up since I can't go shopping for accessories. I'll get to that next year sometime. It's good for now. Below I've included some pictures of his room.

Hope everyone had a nice weekend!
