Ok here are a few personals that I had attempted to send earlier, but then the website went down luckily the paste key still enabled me to see them or I would be throwing my desktop through the front door. (Ninde I know how you feel the gremlins often eat my post too.) I've never heard of a test to tell when AF is coming. Does it happen the next day once beta is at zero? Anyway Ninde, that is a very good question that Ghost might could answer. Several people have asked who is Ghost, maybe if she/he is reading my post will know that in the past Ghost has helped many of us get through so much. I would love to hear the history of Ghost, does he/she also work in an IVF clinic? With the experience from reading the advice I would like to think this Ghost has alot experience with IVF patients, yet is not a MD I know many of us intriqued and would love to find out. So maybe the Ghost will reveal him/herself at least the history part...

Welcome Bonnie! You are in a family of MUCH support! I remember being in your shoes and how frightening the whole process was this time last year. I wish you much success! What is your protocal (calender) and meds you will be taking looking like? :D

Hope,
Thanks for your advice in boasting up dh's sperm count, I will look into this. Right now I'm preaching to him about eatting healthier lunch meals...

Julia,
That was so nice that your MIL AND SIL sent flowers, sounds like you have much support in your family...Well even here you do!I hope to be cycling right along with you in January, Cheers to our upcoming BFPs in 2012!

Kerri,
I know birthdays are bittersweet but you have a brand new year ahead full of many possibilities. Focus on your proctocal for this IVF, it looks very detailed and throughly planned.

Maria,
Your family is in my thoughts and prayers during this time. Is there anything we can do to help you?

Samantha, Becca, Julia and Amanda,
Go ahead and cry, I'll cry with you. My emotions are like a thousand words and I know what you each of you are going through. This is never easy, but within some time we do get stronger and pursue another cycle. I will be right there cheering everyone on till the day we ALL bring our babies home!

Leora, So tomorrow is transfer day for you? May this be THE one, I have everything crossed and I am going to pray tonight! Such a symbolic beautiful song you posted, I definately want to find it on Youtube and play it. You asked about possible test I could do to uncover any possible issues. I did the Laproscopic surgery last March, no endometriosis also rechecked my tubes, both open. Last October before my first IVF we had the hysterosalpingogram done, the uterus and fallopian tubes checked out fine. Tested for progesterone around day 20 and it shows I ovulate fine. Thyroid levels were around 2.6, 3 months later with my Levothyroxine med, thyroid level is now at .96. Not sure what else they can check, but any ideas would be great!

kerpuppies, Thanks girl, I'm mentally preparing myself to try again. In anaylizing our previous cycle with my nurse, she told me it can take up to 3 months for the eggs to decide what they are going to do, meaning how we eat and exercise today could very well effect the quality 3 months later when we are ready again. As for sperm it only takes 7 weeks, not really fair if you ask me, because when I'm on AF all I want to do is eat chocolate, I've been a very unhealthy kiddo. So my new pact with dh lol is focusing on eatting healthier and trust me I'm onto dh too! He often buys those $1 meals for lunch that have nothing more then lots of sodium. He's like but their cheap, today I said no more if we want this to work we have to start taking better care of ourselves. I hope your AF is kind to you, I've been inhaling water and it seems to work. Yeah my mom bought me a case (35 bottles) that I keep in the trunk of my car and with the weather cooler in the mornings it's perfect. Sam's wholesale sells the case of bottle water for less then $5.00. :D Anyway sorry for rambling, I hope your next cycle is the ticket to a BFP! :D

Jayne, I hope everything works out perfectly with your next cycle too, it's good to pursue adoption but not give up trying with your own cycle. I know adoption takes years to get approved but the sooner we start the paperwork the better, if only I could dh on the same page with me. He sees so much red tape but I know that's where the attorney comes in. My question is how does everyone afford adoption even in th U.S. it's around 30 grand, my best friend who is currently trying to get her home study together but there is this long list. I might as well adopt my neighbor's little girl...or ask my other good friend to be a surrogant (msp). Has anyone you know been through surrogancy? I'm just weighing options for some others like myself out there too.

AFM: Gorgeous day, dh took me out for a boat ride and we saw dolphins in the gulf out toward the bay. I picked out my dream home on the water and then as we were leaving saw a family at the boatramp. This time instead of feeling jealous, I told dh just imagine that will be us in 5 years. I said who knows she could of gone through the same journey...

ugh, remind me to stay away from facebook. Someone I have been friends with for over 25 years, since grade school just messaged me that she is pregnant again with her fifth child. She messages me b/c she is scared and nervous at the same time because she thinks there is a high rish associated for women over 35, I quickly messaged her back giving her a piece of my mind. MANY women today in the prine of their careers, wait until they're in their late 30's through 40's before having kids today, really?!? where has this girl been we are not living with June Cleaver in the 1950's! She really got my blood boiling and I let her know while I was happy for her and her new husband I am emotionally upset, so upset I'm attempted to delete my facebook account. For now..I think it's best if I take a step away.

Hello Ladies,

I have posted here in the past, but frankly I stopped lurking/posting because I thought this FET didn't work out and I couldn't emotionally handle it. I went in for my first ultrasound last Monday 11/7 and only saw a small empty sac. My RE told me I shouldn't get my hopes up because my beta #'s were really low and the sac was small and empty, etc. She did say, though, that she believed in miracles and to keep taking my meds and come back the next week for another u/s.

Fast forward to today-- I am definitely a believer in miracles--- we saw and heard a heart beat today!!! I couldn't believe it! It is still measuring small for where it should be, but OMG I saw and heard a heart beat!!! I had convinced myself that it probably didn't work this time so I was in total shock when my doctor said, "here's your little Christmas miracle!". I have to go back for more bloodwork and an ultrasound next Monday 11/21.

The only bad thing was my blood pressure was through the roof! My normal BP is 110-100 over 60-80 and today it was 134/101! It worries me a bit because I had pre-e with the girls. I'm hoping it was just from the emotions and excitement of the day.

Question for anyone who may have some insight, according to my records, I'm 6w6d pregnant and due July 4. But interestingly enough, my RE showed I am 7w2d on the ultrasound, I'm not sure what that's about. I did a 3 day FET on 10/14. Am I right on 6w6d?

Jen, How exciting! I wish I could of gotten to know you a little better (you didn't stay over here long) but good luck with the rest of your pregnancy. It's amazing how IVF works for some on the first try and this should give hope to many newbies!

Going to bed now, tomorrow will be a brand day and I'm going to stop feeling guilty. I need to learn to deal with my emotions a little better and stop comparing myself to the girl with 5 kids. Why is it so hard not to compare ourselves to others... who seem to have to easy and why do the idiots have to be insensitive?

We- I am sorry for your loss and your son. Keeping you & your son in my prayers.

Rosie84- I def. see the line!! Big CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Leora- Love the picture of all the true blood men..(YUMMY) I hope your transfer goes great!!! I will be checking on you to see how it goes!

Bodie- Good luck on the u/s. I am sure it will be great!

Julie- I am so so sorry about your beta. After getting a 6 then a 0.7 I think I would rather just have a BFN instead of being tormented. Sending you cyber HUGS from Alabama.

Neffi- I am with you. No co-parenting for me I am a all or nothing kind of girl.

jayne- would want to do a split cycle? Half donor & half yours? We did that this last cycle & it felt good knowing I was still in the race.

becca- Sorry for the BFN :( :( :(

blue- thinking of you tonight

Ninde- I feel the same way about my laptop. I hate my dell. It has been nothing but problems. I want a mac but we can't afford one since all of our money has been put into IVF.

sunshine- Stepping away is sometimes the best thing to do. One of my co-workers who is in her 20s told me last week. Maybe you just stop thinking about it that is what she & her husband did & she went off bc and she got pregnant. I just look at her & told her it is not the same as I what I am going thru. Like we didn't do that before we went to a fertility doc? When we got married in 2007 I went off bc and we tried for a year. Then we went to a obgyn who put on clomid then I got a cyst bigger than my uterus on my right ovary. I told the doc at the time I wanted to keep my ovary but he took almost all of it out. After that we switched obgyn then he sent us to a fertility doc. So I was somewhat pissed off that she would just assume we didn't try that..I mean Come on!!

AFM; AF came today :( we meet with our RE Dec 6th & I think they do a cycle in Dec then one in March. We will have to wait until March. I don't want to but money is an issue right now. We are hoping with all the medical deductions on income tax we will get enough for another cycle.

Leora- Yes thank you for the picture! :) I can't wait to hear how everything went!! I really want this to work for you!!

Jen- That is wonderful news and we sure do need it!! I will be praying for your little one that he or she will continue to grow!!

Sunshine- I know just how you feel. Sometimes I'm just waiting for my 20 y/o Niece to say she's pregnant. She is so unprepared! She can't even find a guy that's worth her time and every last one of them has a parole officer. She knows her body well so I just hope she continues to time it all so she doesn't.

Bodie- Hope the MS goes away soon. I never had it with DS so if I get pregnant again I can bet I'll have it bad! But that's okay. :)

Kerri- Sorry it didn't work out as planned. Here's to 2012! I hope I'm in there with y'all too! If I am it will be LATE in the year.

Maria- Let us know if there is anything we can do. Praying for all of you during this time.

personals later - but I just got home from the hospital...

Everything went PERFECTLY! Phew!

The embryo grew from being an "almost mourla" to being a compacted blastocyst. I'm not exactly sure how that happened in just a few hours, but that's great!

Transfer went really smoothly. My favorite doctor plus a new doctor (who was just learning). So my doctor was doing everything step by step and explaining, which we thought was cool.

Rested for 30min after and then drove home. I'm going to crawl back into bed and snuggle with my husband and the dog -- it's freezing outside and going to rain. I'm eating instant soup and hot chocolate. Sounds like a fantastic day!

I'm going back to work tomorrow.

and the best part---- the doctor forgot to write a date on the Rx for the beta! Woohooo! So instead of waiting a full 2 weeks or whatever, I'm just going to do it when I want to. The plan for now is to POAS in a week. If it's negative, I'll probably go for a beta next Thursday to get a final negative answer (8dp5dt). If it's positive, I'll probably wait until next Sunday (11dp5dt).

I'm so optimistic and excited. I know I shouldn't get my hopes up too high.... but I can't help myself. I'd rather enjoy the next week of being PUPO instead of dreading the pregnancy test.

Leora- So glad to hear it went so well! That's great it took just a few hrs to grow (I'm sure that's not the correct term but don't know them yet, so I apologize!) Sounds like a nice cuddling day! It's just now reached 31 this morning. My Dogs and I are about to wrap up on the couch and nap! Yes, enjoy the moment!! That's great you can go in any time!! Hold out as long as you can.

Sunshine- dh's family is amazing! My own mother has alzheimers and knows no one. Been that way for 4 years now, so when I married scott, I got the best mil in the world. I so miss that mom stuff. But with mil, she will do little things like when we ate at their house recently, scott was sick and asked me if i wanted a bite of (homemade) cobbler (best in the WORLD) and without thinking I said yes, she was quick to say he's sick! Such a mom thing. I love her implicitly. I'm feeling much better. Feeling a lot of hope and the info about the eggs being affected 3 months prior is so good to know. I'm fairly sure that Ghost did or does work at a clinic, I read sine of his older posts and he said he did. Btw, I too an excited to cycle with u in the new year!

We-how are you? How is ds? I am so sorry but I am thinking of your family and praying.

Bonnie-so glad to meet you! Wishing you lots of baby dust!

Ninde- awww dang! Sorry your posts got eaten. They always make me feel so much better. Don't you just love how I made that all about me!? Lol.

Jen-oh my gosh what a GREAT story! Thank you so much for sharing that. I want dh to see it when he gets home. Congrats!!

Amanda- glad glad glad to hear from u. You have been on my mind. How are you?

Leora-oh I'm praying so hard for you girl! That's great you can go in when you wanna. That's the bees knees (lol, I love that saying!) I so want this for you and dh.

Kerpupples-thank you for keying me in on that info!
