Rosie- that is so much fun seeing the lines get darker. I'm already debating with myself if I'm going to POAS this time or not....my first thought is no, but I know myself too well and I won't be able to not...and once I start peeing on those things, watch out....I felt like a male dog marking his territory last time and I will probably be the same way this time. I think last time I started testing like 3 days before my beta.

Lyd- hey girlie.....aren't you starting your Lupron soon? I'm starting mine tomorrow and it makes me want to throw up thinking about starting shots again.....but on the other hand, I'm excited to be starting the process again. What is your protocol this time? I start the Lupron tomorrow, then the Stimms Saturday, then they think it will probably take about the same time as last time, so a total of 10 days on the stimms, then we will trigger....looking at doing my ER/ET the week after Thanksgiving.

AFM- had the baseline tests today...SnS- right? hehehe So this is way TMI, but it grosses me out to no end having that transvaginal ultrasound when AF is here! I can only imagine how the poor ultrasound lady feels....I don't envy her job! Anywho, good news, last time, my right ovary was in a position that they weren't sure if they could even access even if I had growing follies...well, last time the right ovary was totally not wanting to play ball so we only got eggs from the left side. Well, today, it appears that my right ovary has changed positions a bit and is a little more accessible, so I totally feel great about this cycle! I really hope that the right ovary will play ball this time! I guess we will find out on Tuesday. So, I start shooting myself tomorrow with the Lupron, then add the Follistim & Menopur on Saturday. My 1st post shot SnS will be Tuesday(11/22) and then the next one will be Friday(11/25 aka Black Friday). Good Times! Good thing I don't like to get out in that crowd to shop on Black Friday.....I know a lot of people are upset about some stores opening up late on Thanksgiving, and I do get it, it sucks for the employees, but I would so rather stay up late and shop than get up at the butt crack of dawn and shop...and honestly, I HATE crowds so I'm hoping that there will be some deals Thanksgiving night and that I won't have to run into people with my basket to get them...HA! You guys have a great day!

Hopethisworks: I hadn't heard of that drug. I looked it up and there seem to be quite a lot of things to be aware of in terms of other drugs you might be taking and even diet so maybe check it out with your doctor?

Afm: my doc phoned today to say my beta was less than 1.62 and apparently that is considered "normal". I asked was that zero and couldnt get a straight answer!! As i mentioned above, af has come, yay!! I cant quite decide whether I should wait until af comes in januarybefore I start cycling. We do things differently to you in that I will be on a nasal spray from 21 days after af comes for about 16-21 days to ensure I dont ovulate and then the injections start for about a weekand will have regular sns(ing) during that time. If all goes according to plan I would be retrieving around feb 27. After the m/c and d&c I feel I should have 2 periods at the very least before i go again. What do you think?

Ninde- Thanks for asking. Well she's doing better. Not enough to go home or be by herself again but she was doing to well for Hospice. They sent her to the nursing home where she will have therapy. After a couple of weeks of that she'll go to a room. In her final days they hope to take her home. She kinda went backwards......from her death bed.....to Hospice......Nursing home. She's a fighter!!

Ninde I agree let your body get back into a normal rhythm before trying again. I wander if there is research about the number of menstrual cycles between ivf and the success rate?

Thanks riogirl, we need lots of baby sprinkles layered over here! Today I got my hair cut about 4 inches chopped off layered with longer pieces up front and stacked in the back. I'm pretty close to my stylist, you know once you find one that cuts your hair right there is no turning back! Anyway she knows everything about my personal journey and today for some reason I was more calm then the last visit. I'm at the point of saying whatever happens, happens, I'm leaving this in God's hands for now because I know miracles happen everyday sometimes we cannot time them just right, but as we know from our former cycle buddies they DO happen!

Ninde, yes I would wait until your cycles are back to normal, and at least two will help you recharge and get ready.

Gina, your protocal should include a calender from start to finish, some things of course will be all depend on how well you respond to those meds but those ultrasounds/bloodwork tell us so much.

AFM: Annabelle's mom asked if we could get together for Thanksgiving this year, she has Annabelle this holiday (usually her dad has her on most holidays) and although I already had a big thanksgiving meal two weeks ago when my mom was here and invited the neighbors...I am trying to decide what to do now. I had not planned on cooking another turkey because frankly my dh and I are already tired of turkey... so maybe it will be pot roast on Thanksgiving! wahooo I'm so ready to bring out the tree and trimmings! This year I really reallly want to keep everything simple, is that really possible?

Ok, so it's a bit early but with Christy's talk about turkey I couldn't help it. Besides, who doesn't love Snoopy? It's kind of hard to look at Snoopy right now because I was secretly looking at Snoopy nursery items during my short pregnancy. Bittersweet.

Christy- I'm sorry Belles is moving away. I know what you mean about having a good stylist. I miss mine. She went on maternity leave and I got stuck with a sub. I hate my haircut. So I went with a new color and am a bit happier now. What is it about hair and therapy? It's always what I turn to when things are rough. Well, that and food!

Ninde- Thank you. It was so hard to make it through the day today. I wanted to leave so bad but I had a meeting I had to facilitate after school. I made it. At least it is almost the weekend.

Boy this group moves fast. I'm in such as daze so I maybe it seems faster than it is.

AFM- Ouch! My cramps are getting worse and I finally had some pink spotting start this evening. I am supposed to get my period even though I had the d&c. I just don't know when it will start. I want it to be over. The cramps and the sadness are too much!

Afm- We went to nashville yesterday and saw the dr. concerning my bleeding/cramping. They gave me a u/s and there are more cysts, most likely from the stimming. After the exams we had our consult even tho she wasn't our dr. We only saw our dr once and all the drs collaborate so imho, it doesn't really matter who I see. They are all great. I'm a little confused about what all we discussed. We told her we didn't want to start again until january but dh and I talked and I think we will do it in february. I want all the medication (percoset/lunesta) out of my system for a good while before we start. This time we will use menopur. Not sure what else, she said but my mind is not focused right now and I know we will hear again. She did mention that my eggs were not the best quality. Wtf? I'm hoping that was bc of my lifestyle changes not happening until right before we started, ie. smoking, caffeine eating healthier, narcotic meds bc of root canal. She also said his sperm morphology was poor but that was mainly bc they had to retrieve it surgically. She assured me they have had pregnancies even with those factors. Anyone have any insight on how improve egg quality? Anyone have any experience with these factors? I lost so much hope when she gave us this information. I'm sorry I don't have more personals. I'm feeling defeated.

I am so sorry for not posting this week. Thank you all for your prayers. Your prayers mean the world to us. Please do not think that I have forgotten you. I continue to pray for each and everyone everyday. I know time will heal but in time. Please continue to pray for healing and peace in our heart especially for my son.

Going in for surgery today at 1pm EST. Need to be there by 11am. Please say a little prayer for me if you have a moment. I would really appreciate it. I hope to get back to posting somewhat regularly and updating everyone on the Roll Call soon.

Thanks everyone for asking about my lining...I haven't started my meds yet, I have been on Lupron for suppression for a couple weeks because RE couldn't do my transfer until the week of Dec 5th. I start Estrace and Viagra tomorrow and won't have a lining check until Nov 28th. RE wants me to do 10mg of Estrace a day plus the Viagra...but I think I may decrease the Estrace to 8mg daily because I think that too much was the reason that I lost my lining in the middle of my cycle last time....what do you guys think? Or maybe do 10mg then 8mg the next day? 10mg still seem like alot to me. I was on 12 mg last time and my lining was 9.1 then started to deteriorate. But if the Viagra is suppose to help, I thought RE would decrease the Estrace more than just 2mg daily.....?????

Still no word from the birthmom I told you about at the beginning of the week. She has an appt with a counselor on Tuesday and I guess I'll just wait.....whats new....life with infertility is all about waiting!

On a happy note....I love this time of year! super excited for Thanksgiving next week and Christmas just 5 weeks away! Let the shopping begin! I love BLACK FRIDAY!

Ninde & Sunshine - im so happy (and i wish that we didnt have to...) that we may be cycling together in the coming months. and Ninde yes i think it is better to wait 2 periods, i guess it is ok to start stimulating on CD2 or CD3 (depends on ur clinic) of ur 2nd period. Good Luck!

Maria, my prayers are with you as you go through surgery today, I pray they find some answers which will help you move forward to your next cycle in January. Were you able to get the all the classes you wanted to register? Anyway you know your son is in our thoughts and prayers too. I pray that he is surrounded with love and comfort during this time as I know you will make sure of.

Ninde, I know you see patients who have a much more rough state of mind, but if we feel and let ourselves stay defeated we will only get so far. I solely believe it's the support here that gets us to and through our next cycle! Glad the AF dance worked, so you are looking at cycling around January-February? I couldn't think of a better New Year Resolution for all of us to be pregnant together!

Blue, I LOVE snoopy too and every year I watch the holiday Peanuts/Charlie Brown with dh, it's a tradition along with "Christmas Vacation" that someday will be watched with our LOs too! I know it's emotional, yet when you take the next steps to move forward you're next pregnancy is going to happen.

Julia, I'm sorry you are feeling defeated right now. You mentioned the clinic also told you they have had success with pregnancies even with these things going on, so we have to hold onto hope and our faith. As for the egg quality, I mentioned earlier that my nurse said on the average it takes up to 3 months for the egg to fully decide on what's it's going to do, with sperm it's ready to go in 7 weeks. So with that said we should eat more balanced meals, try to stay away from processed foods and drink plenty of water. Even when you feel thirsty drink water becasue those cells and tissue need to be well-nourished.

I agree with Blue, getting a hair-cut is like shopping it's therapeutic...as well as all Thanksgiving food! Leora enjoy your vacation weekend at your cousins, that will definately help time fly by in the 2ww. Next time we hear from you you will be in POAS-city!
