I caved yesterday and POAS = BFN, today too=BFN 8dp3dt, 9dp3dt I don't know what to think!! My beta is on Wednesday, so I know there is a possibility that there is still hope, but I am not feeling very hopeful:( My dreams of being a mother are being smashed to pieces. My heart is breaking... There is no way we can try again. We had to borrow money to try IVF a second time. We will be paying this off for a long time, and with nothing to show for it:( I just needed to vent, thank you all for always being there.

Kim,
My heart breaks for you as I know the uncertainities, but I will keep praying strongly for you and dh. I wish more then anything that we all had fertility insurance, I'm already in so much debt with treatment too. We shouldn't be limited on what we need to bring home a baby, if there is a will, there has to be a way and I will be praying that God will show us the way!

Leorira,
How strong you are to hold out one more day to POAS, lol but I know you better-- I am so excited for you and cannot wait to find out either! Yes I love my haircut too, thinking about getting a Chi iron but I found a new brand of shanmpoo called "Ion" that my stylist recommended to help with my frizzies with the florida weather. P.S. I loved the dancing dog, I need to get mine ready for Rosie! :D

Jayne, I'm agreeing with dh to try one more time. I'm glad work has been a distraction, that keeps us from losing our minds! :D

Blessed,
I hope you get your computer back, those phones are so hard to type on not that I'm tyoing any better right now. lol
Praying that you stay strong this week, also praying for your BFP too.

Ninde and Leorira (aka Leora), you two have me dying to watch True Blood, those guys ARE hotties! lol but I did watch a really good romantic flix last night "Crazy Stupid Love". That dude that played in "The NoteBook" was it and he was hot too. lol I think my hormones are going crazy I must be getting real close to ovulation time. lol

Kim - I'm so sorry. I hope the HPTs are wrong.

AFM - well -- I couldn't take it any longer. I decided to POAS. DON'T TELL DAVID! Of course, I'm only 4dp5dt and this is afternoon pee -- but I *think* I *might* see something. Maybe just the antibody line. The test has dried and I only see it holding it at a certain angle.... but I think it might be pink. Definitely as thick as the line should be.

GAH! I'm insane! I'll test again tomorrow morning.

Damn these internet cheapies --- they make testing so cheap and easy!

Just a quick note to say that I got my first beta results today (at 11dp5dt). The number is 308. I am pretty happy with that :D I am really trying to work on being more positive, my negative nelly attitude just depresses me and wears me out. Interestingly, my E2 was so low last week (146 pmol/l, that's about 39 pg/ml in the units used in America), my RE said he was shocked to find out that I am pregnant! He thought this cycle was in the gutter. He says he doesn't consider E2 values a good predictor of pregnancy in general, but mine were sooooo low, it made him very pessimistic. Today my E2 was ~2600 pmol/l (~700 pg/ml), so I think I am finally doing ok with the help of the estrogen supplements in the estrogen department. My next beta will be Tuesday (11/22) - hoping for some great doubling action!

Amy - how was Vegas and the orange dress? I'm sure you pulled it off great!!

Kala - how was the family visit?

Rosie - woohoo awesome beta!! :) CONGRATS!

Laura - how are you doing with the shots?

Ninde - I always needed time in between my M/C just to mentally prepare, but physically my doctor always said that 2 cycles was enough.

Sunshine - your haircut sounds great. I took about 8 inches off this summer and have never looked back :). Any word on where Belle's is moving? I hope she stays super close. the BBQ night sounds awesome!

Leora - oh boy - how exciting!! Can't wait to hear tomorrow morning about the next POAS! And thanks for the link. Yes, I am obsessed, is it that obvious :) :). Its 9 weeks today, so maybe after one more week I can relax a little. That will mean my odds are 3.7%

Julia - My egg quality is not the best either, and so I have done a lot of research over the past couple years trying different things. One thing is for sure, nothing works in less than about 3 months. So whatever you try it should be for a few months before your next retrieval. Acupuncture and royal jelly seemed to help a little bit, but taking CoQ10 I think really helped a lot. I was finally able to get a good quality egg after taking that for 3 months. Of course could all be coincidence, but figured I would tell you for what its worth. If you are like me, I was willing to try just about anything.

maria - hope your are recovering well from the surgery.

Ninde - Love the ladybug cupcakes. YUM. good luck with the gingerbread house. Post a picture when you are done!!

Hope - that so wonderful about the heartbeat. I'm trying to figure out how far along are you? Is it 6 weeks 4 days?

Neffi - Yay for starting! Hope the Viagra is not as messy as it sounds.

Gina - happy birthday to your son!

Jayne - I know what you mean. I had the same thoughts about what all the hormones do to us. I hope your next try is the one!

Kim - I'm so sorry for what you are going through. I'll be hoping for your BFP this week!

AFM - Starting to prepare for Thanksgiving. I'm trying to do 1-2 things a day so I don't get overwhelmed. I'm trying potato bread for the stuffing this year. Anyone done this before?

I'm still lurking. I had to post, Leora I used the same kind of tests and mine looked just like yours did. Since you didn't do HCG I think it's a good sign. I can't wait to hear about tomorrow's tests.

Leora~ Oh my. I think I may see something. I trust you that you see something too. I am so excited for you. And I won't tell David!

Rosie~ You give me hope to try one last time. However, I go back and forth between donor eggs and my own eggs. The percentages are so much higher with donor eggs. My genetics aren't the best anyhow. I have horrible teeth, bad GI system, my mom has ovarian cancer, dad was alcoholic... May be nice to escape my genes. Your beta is a good number. Yay!

Kim~ I'm so sorry. I totally know how you feel. We are out of money too. This is all so damn expensive. I would be fine spending it if I had a baby but it's so annoying to spend/save for BFNs. We could have bought a really nice car by now. Ugh. I'm thinking of you. You may be too early though.

Bodie~ Thanksgiving is the toughest meal to prepare. Good luck.

AFM~ bringing out Christmas stuff. So fun but a lot of work.

Leora-- I definitely see it! I use the same tests so I know how crazy it can make you! I had one come back positive and my beta was 8! That was a chemical, but it shows that they can detect very low Hcg. RE says every test is different thats why they dont recommend doing more than one at a time....I usually do 3 a day!!!!

Kimish-- I'm sorry about you negative tests, but don't lose all hope yet. Will you POAS tomorrow?

AFM-- Viagra going well. It's not as messy as I thought it would be, but there will be no fun for me and DH thats for sure! Lining check will be on the 28th. Hopfully I dont start spotting or bleeding before then. I am taking 10mg estrace against what I think is best.....DH says I AM NOT A DOCTOR. I think I should be though :D

Happy Sunday ladies :)

Hopethisworks: That is just so fantastic for you - I'm delighted you heard the heartbeat :)

Maria: How are you doing? I remembered you all at mass last night

Neffi: Oh thats just hilarious about having to lie down 4 times a day - even without a toddler that would be tough - with a toddler must be impossible!! In Ireland we use the PIO as a pessary - it can cause an irritation after a while - is the viagra the same?

Gina: I hope your son had a great day :)

Jayne: Sorry you couldn't open the link - I can open the first but not the second. And I'll bet you have great genes!!!

Blue: Thanks - I'll try that the next time - so just copy the code showing at the top of the page (which I'm presuming is the IMG code?) How are you feeling?

Leorira: Oh thats a brilliant dog! And what an amazing photo of Alcide - he is soooo gorgeous! I don't get the whole Sookie thing either - although I may consider going blonde if it gets all that attention! Do you just copy in all those lovely images (not just the photos, the dog, the waving smiley, etc?) Now, those HPTs are really hard to read in general - so hang on - that line will get stronger. Wait for tomorrow. I can't do one of your lovely shiny icons - but sending you lots of BFP vibes :)

Blessed: The Fri is Dec 2nd - and thats just great!

Kim: Ah thats crappy - but don't give up yet - seriously - I have heard so many stories of tests saying no and then the ladies on here have got BFPs. I know - the cost is horrendous. Keep venting - but I'm hoping with all of my heart that you won't have to after Wednesday - that your BFP will be there for you x

Christy: Oh you mean Ryan Gosling!!!! He was in Ides of March too - oh sooooo cute! Well cute really doesn't describe him - have you seen that washboard stomach! I saw 'stupid, crazy love' too - I think that line Emma Stone says about Ryan Gosling's character as he takes off his shirt is just the best ever - I'm paraphrasing but for everyone who hasn't seen the movie its something like "**** off - you look like you have been photoshopped'!!!!!!!!!!

Rosie: Thats fantastic!! Oh brilliant news - well done you!!!!!!! Good luck for Tue. Whats E2 - is that estrogen?

Julia: I'm taking supplements and the best I've found is from Zita West. I'm not sure if she is known in the States but she is big in the UK and Ireland. She sells a whole range of supplements - in case you or anyone are interested - the website is http://www.zitawest.com/buy/supplements/- Whats great is that she divides the supplements into male and female so you might not buy hers but because the lisiting is so comprehensive that you might be able to get similar ones close to you.

Bodie: That 9 week marker is really important and I'm so glad for you. I'm about to start icing cupcakes to look like farm animals so if they work out I'll post a picture later!

Amy: Was Vegas great?!

Kala: Family all ok?

Lyd & LauraN: How are you doing

Afm: About to start icing! Finished off my Christmas shopping today. Thats all 28 bought - now dh can wrap! I'll finish the cards later. I like them to land to everyone's door on Dec 1, just a tradition :) Its so true about the cost of IVF, its awful. We are thinking of asking my Dad the next time. I don't want to as our relationship is deteriorating as he is just awful at staying in touch. He had a brain hemmorage at 27 and his short term memory is not good - but seriously how do you forget you have 3 daughters?!

Slight drama last night, was going out for dinner and over to my sister. On the way I was driving along nicely when this pedestrian came out of nowhere and I'm not joking ran into my car! Thankfully I was at the speed limit but he got quite a knock. He was in shock (no surprise) and his knee had a bad bruise. He was lithuanian and very quiet! I called the police and the ambulence to take him to hospital just in case. But the firebrigade showed up with paramedics while we were waiting for the ambulance and 2 squad cars came too - it was like something from a major incident! Although it was totally his fault (he was running for a bus and looking the other way as he darted across the road!) in Ireland its always the car's fault so if he decides to claim for any sort of injury my insurance will have to pay. He didn't seem too hurt and the police were totally happy it wasn't my fault but that would really add a cost I could do without.
