Where is everyone? All very quiet! Just me the noisy one here. we had our scan today - I am 35 wks tomorrow - yikes. The twins are fine and both have fluid etc and the doppler blood flow to both is fine. Twin one is still head down cephalic but she kind of shoves her legs up and then over my body to the right. Twin 2 therefore has had enough and currently shoves her head out my right ribs and legs tend to go under her sister the other side - so she is transverse/oblique but has twin one's legs all over her - it really is quite a battle and is amazing to see it on screen. They estimate they are around 5.5lb-6lb a piece - all amazing as i am a tiny thing frame wise with this great lump on the front. Just ask Jules what her DH reckons to the picture! They want me back in 3 wks at 38 wks when they routinely scan and examine me to see where things are and potentially induce by a sweep (depending on what the cervix is up to) or pessaries - oh deep joy. He did say he hoped not to see me at the next scan - he is not our normal consultant who is off and not sure he likes my jokes very much - I on the other hand think them hilarious!
Hope all well with you lovely lot and bet Lisa has had the twins!
Love
Tracey

Tracey,
so pleased everything looks so good. Reassuring to know if they came now they'd be great weights.
Scary though isn't it!? I can't beleive we only have a few more weeks to go ! It's come round so quick now and it's hard to imagine we'll soon be cuddling our babes.
Mine too are first one head down and second one breech, so hopefully they will stay like that and i'll have go at a natural birth!
My next scan is at 36 weeks.
What about that sweepstake then? I'm hoping to make it until at least 25th July when I'll be 37 weeks.
Enjoy these next 3 weeks!

Just posted for you on your worried thread the other side so go off and listen! Still reckon you are on for a great +++++ on my birthday.
Helen - I know - all so hard to get my head around. I am going for 37 wks too - always wanted to but not sure how much more they can squeeze in there - I look as if I might pop according to everyone who sees me! Chances are yours will stay head down and the other maybe will go transverse to get more room!
Do you reckon Lisa has had hers - she is very quiet! and will be 38 wks now - how exciting and scary

Fab news, Tracey. Your girls are doing a good job of giving their Mummy reassuring scans, bless them. I reckon you'll easily make a scan at 38 weeks; you have got to get to 40 weeks or else!
And I'm so sorry that DH thought you were carrying triplets! I can now tell him that you are really carrying two heavyweights!

You are doing so well!! And you are such an inspiration to me with my twin girls just starting my 18th week today!! Tell me what you ate to get them to be such great weights....
tracey
so glad your scan went well and your girls are a good weight and seem very active
Hope you are taking it easy.

Hi there...thought I'd venture onto this side to say 'well done' on the scan. The weights are tremendous (my full term ivf baby was only 6lb 1oz)....I'm sure you're an inspiration to all the other prospective twin/singleton mummies-to-be.
Those babies of yours also sound highly active! Just out of interest, how will you and DH decide who is called what? first one out? looks? tell all please!
I agree that the dog walking and hill climbing has probably done you the world of good. Brisk exercise can make you feel so much better.
tracey, glad scan went well, its must be so exciting and apprehensive
at the same time, what good weights, dont u have trouble walking around?
the last 2 wks i have ballooned in front and realy do struggle with
bending and trying to put a pair of knickers on !!!!! and u have two little
ones who seem to be enjoying playing together in mummys tummy.

Hi all thanks for the messages and don't shout but have overdone it and spent nearly 3 hours delivering leaflets and walking the dog all in one go - don't ask!
Right answers - have been eating loads of choccie and generally just munching away - guess I have a balanced diet but have not been supergood - certainly not done what the books say and had all those veggies and fruit etc each day.
recently have made myself drink more milk so cereal and then a glass with banana in later.
Which twin is which? Let DH decide so twin one who is head down and very feisty like me is Emily and twin two who is stubborn like me is Alice unless they have the sex wrong
As for moving around Alison - yep is hard but just keep going - have to hop around to get a leg in some trousers or knickers and shoes can be a sod at time but can still cut my toe nails - lucky I suppose
Love to all
