Hi,
I'm wondering if anyone has information or can point me in the direction of information on the long term effects of ivf meds? I went through one cycle of ivf and one FET and am very blessed with beautiful twin boys. Over a year later I am just now realizing I know nothing about this... Although I wouldn't change a thing and would (will) do it again!
Thanks for you help...

This is a great question!! I went through four fresh cycles and 2 FET cycles, and have no clue what it did to my body. I would love to hear ghost chime in on this issue!!! Thanks in advance ghost . I hope you get some good responses, sorry I don't have any info to share.
After 7 attempts (2 negatives/3 miscarriages), we have TWO miracle boys!! If you would like to hear our story, please visit http://www.ivfsuccessstories.info. Never give up, it can happen for you!!
I too have a question about the long term effects. If a woman is born with all her eggs and goes through several IVF/stim cycles, would she go into menopause earlier?

I really don't know the long term effects of IVF, however I hope there are none
Hoping - I just had a recent consult as I am looking into switching clinics and I asked your exact question b/c I am at a higher risk of going through menopause at an earlier age due to the fact I am a carrier of Fragile X. And the answer was no. Yes you are born with all of your eggs and going through the stimulation cycles does promote more eggs at a time, but it by no means means that you will go through menopause earlier. Once you hit menopause stage age your eggs that are left are just old it doesn't mean you run out of them.

Apparently IVF drugs increase your chance of ovarian cancer.
It goes up from 5 in 1000 (non-IVF women) to 7 in 1000 (with IVF) but that will be based on a couple of cycles.
I assume that the more cycles you have that the higher your risk is
It shouldn't inpact your menopause though... although, menopause is linked to your resistance to hormones so if you are overdosing on these hormones i wonder if you might become resistant sooner?
I reckon i'll be having my ovaries removed after 50
