Well ladies, Denver Robert has arrived. He was born at 3:24 pm, weighed 8lbs 1oz and was 19 3/4" long. The birth was relatively uneventful except there were extra people in the room - nurses, RN's, pediatrician, another dr to assist mine, etc. Everyone was super excited because Denver came out so healthy & big. My OB told me he was our miracle boy. Later that evening I had a minor bleeding episode, but it stopped relatively quickly and I did pretty good for a few hours. I am on my own at night cause hubby is home with our son. I fed Denver from 1:30 - 2:30 am and then I felt like I was bleeding a lot. I called my nurse and she rushed in. They took the baby and laid him down. Then I started to feel really sick and passed out. My blood pressure had dropped to 40/30 and I was bleeding a lot. They brought me back to and worked on getting my blood pressure up & my bleeding stopped. They gave me medicine by IV & pill form. They massaged my uterus, gave me extra fluids and a few units of blood. After 2 hours I had to go back into surgery. I had a D&C and they put a balloon in my uterus & inflated it to apply direct pressure to my uterus. The bleeding has stopped & I'm doing pretty good. However, I have to stay in hospital longer, am on iron & different meds. However, Denver is doing very well and that is the most important thing to me. Although, I was scared and kept asking them if I was going to be okay, and they assured me they could stop it, but they thought perhaps a hysterectomy would be necessary. It wasn't, but it helps confirm my decision that this is our last child.

Mamaboo- congrats on the arrival of baby Denver!!! Sounds like he is doing well and is a healthy little guy. I can't wait to see pics. So sorry to hear about all the issues with bleeding, but glad they seem to have it stopped. I lost quite a bit of blood too and ended up getting 2 units of blood, as well as being put on iron. Wishing you a quick recovery. Congrats again!!
Thanks for the advice ladies. I had a good appt today. No signs of cervical thinning or dilation!!!! What a relief! I know now why there is so much pressure down there... little princess has moved down next to her brother. He they both have been head down for weeks but they have both migrated to one on each side of my bladder... with feet in my ribs. No wonder my back pain is almost unbearable at times. The only bad news is my iron is pretty low. It was low 3wks ago so they bumped me up to 2x day iron instead of 1x. Now they are changing me over to prescription iron in hopes that maybe I just wasnt absorbing the over the counter. The low iron probably adds to my "feel like crap days" Next check up 1 wk!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone. We all have alot to be thankful for this year!!!
So many personals to catch up on and so little time so I will do a few quickies...
Mamaboo- I am so happy your little man is finally here and you are okay. Congrats!
Blair- It is hard to believe the girls are three weeks. I'm glad you brought them home just in time for the holidays. Enjoy Mama.
Barbara- we are waiting for you over on our 2012 board when you are ready. It is a pretty quiet but great group and we look forward to having you. Congrats! You are an inspiration and I hope when the time comes we get our BFP for baby number 2.
Rio- LOVE the pics! Thanks for the advice on GD. Things are going well so far. I pretty much always ate a GD diet so other than cutting back just a little bit on total carbs it has been easy. I just don't like having to test my levels all day, but it is a small price to pay for a healthy (and average size) baby girl.
Dallas- glad everything is okay. I am 31 weeks tomorrow and am starting to have some of those same feelings, and I only have one in there!
To everyone I missed- I am always reading and thinking of you.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO MY BEST FERTILITY FRIENDS!

I am still in the hospital for the holiday. I may or may not get out today. Hopefully, I get out this afternoon. We will see. However, I am so very grateful for what I have. My miracle babies, and the amazing people who saved my life on Tuesday morning. If I were home, I may not have made it because by the time I started bleeding & my bp bottomed out, was very short. Minutes. this is a very special holiday for us!

Mamaboo- still need to congratulate you on Denver's arrival. I'm sorry about the bleeding but glad you are ok. My coworkers daughter had something similar and had to have an emergency hysterectomy at 27 years old with her first baby. Thank goodness that wasn't you. Big congrats, you did it! What a miracle he is!

mamaboo congratulations on the arrival of Denver. Hope you feel better soon
Happy Thanksgiving girls! Last year this time I had just gotten a BFN from a donor embryo transfer of 3 blasts and I was devastated. I remember thinking that I would never have another child. Who could have imagined that 2 weeks later I would be pregnant with Paul. He is such a blessing and gift from God. He was such a surprise and he completed me. I felt like a part of me was missing for 3 years of this painful infertility journey and now I can't look at him without thanking and praising God for his great mercy. Who could have imagined that 3 years ago I was diagnosed with cancer and told that I would have to have a hysterectomy and here we are 3 years later with our little miracle.
Thank you girls for your support and love and I went through this journey, I feel so close to you all. I could not have done it without you
So we bought the bambo seat..check out the pic

Some of you will probably remember that my sister had a son 4 weeks before the twins were born (no fun to find out about her "oops" while waiting for an FET, but I love my nephew!) and my cousin had a son 1 week before my sister. Here is a pic of them all together!
DH and I cut down the tree today and decorated the house. It's so hard to believe it's the babies first Christmas already!!!
