Hi there everyone I am back on line!!!!!! Hoorayyyyyy :D

Bloody hell yesterday was a bugger I can tell you.

I went in for another blood test and a scan and the wait in Phlebotomy was MASSIVE  Went in for my scan and if I had a camera I could have taken a piccy of my doctor as her face was priceless. I am upto 40+ follies now and they are very big too. She gave up counting as there were so many. My uterine lining is now 12mm and the big problem is my estadile levels. A few days ago they were 12,000 and then they went up to 22,000  They wont do EC until they get down to 12,000 - 16,000. I am waiting for my blood results for today.

Basically my EC is not tomorrow now and I don't know when it will be yet, it all depends on my levels. If my levels are still too high they will do EC and freeze all my embies. I am so pi$$ed off as I really don't want to do that and neither does DH. I am at their mercy though so have to just sit and wait whilst drinking like a fish.

On top of all this my computer was playing up when I got in from the hospital yesterday and then we had a power cut all bleeding afternoon  I have only just managed to log on now.

Last night I got really bad AF pains in my legs and have had them all today as well. Has anyone else had this during tmt???? I dont remember having it before and if I start bleeding - God knows what will happen. Why can't things just be simple for me?

Thanks for all your support everyone. I do really appreciate it.

Love Dagny xkx

Hi Dagny!!!

I hope you are feeling better!! I realize why your doctors won't do the ET if your estrogen levels are too high. Back in December during my ICSI treatment, my estrogen levels skyrocked to the 30,000s, three times as high as they should be. My doctor did the EC and ET even though they were that high, being hopeful that the transfer would take. Unfortunately it did not and during the consultation, my doctor attributed the failed results to the very high estrogen count as he said that my body could not hold a pregnancy with levels that high. Doing the FET in March was successful for me as I did not need all the meds to produce the eggs as they were already fertilized....therefore my body did not have to go through that again. Hence - this time it worked!!

I am praying that your count goes down and they can continue the treatment right away - at least your doctors are not giving you the chance of having a failed cycle with high counts - that is smart on their part - as they want this to be successful too!!! I even questioned my doctor if he knew that the Dec. treatment would not work and he stated that some women are able to hold a pregnancy with estrogen counts that high, but it is not a great percentage.

I know that waiting is the hardest part - keep the faith - your postitive attitude is a remarkable attribute to have!

xo,
Denise :D :D

Hi Denise

Thank you, your post has really given me some hope now. I was really reluctant to do FET even though I know you and Tracey are PG with FET. I just hate it when my plans go wrong if that makes sense? I was so focused on EC and ET happening on the right days and get really fed up when it gets changed. I will take hope from what you have said and hope I get a positive like you.

Teresa - I think drinking lots of fluids can help bring it down but I feel like I am drowning already  Your AF pains sound like a good sign but don't quote me on that. We are all different and whilst some get them some don't it's such a minefield of symptoms.

Dagny

Just got back from waddling around town - not doing it again - can hardly walk and need a sleep now

The pains you describe are quite normal in high levels such as yours - really don't imagine for a moment AF is on its way as your body well and truly with its lining etc is not preparing for AF but for fertilisation. The drinking is horrid but got my levels down and also I had no free fluid floating around - they could not believe this and kept scanning like it was lying. She said she had never seen anyone with levels like that before manage to walk let alone get them down etc. DH told her how much I had drunk and she said not possible. He said it was as he had counted the flaming glasses he had to keep pouring!

Denise - hang in there - like Dagny says this is normal and can equally be a good sign - too early for AF anyway

Hi Tracey

You must really try to start taking it easy now. Your girls will make an appearance too soon if you keep gallavanting around. Enjoy the peace and quiet while you can.

My levels are still a bit high. They have come down to 17,000 which is good but they want to coast me a bit longer. I am really pi$$ed off though. Thanks for the advice about the AF pains. It really does worry me that after getting such a good lining that I start to bleed because of the coasting. I did bleed the first treatment before EC and my lining was shite because of it  I am trying to be positive which I was doing really well with until now and now I feel like it's all going wrong.

I told the nurse that I am drinking lots and asked her what else I could do to bring the levels down and she said nothing as its a chemical reaction and only time will bring them down. It's all out of my hands now which is so frustrating.

Keep those babies safe!!

Hi guys

ET on SATURDAY !!!!!!!

HORRAHHHHHHH :D

My levels came down yesterday to 9000 so it's all systems go for tomorrow. Had my HCG shot last night and feeling OK. It was DH's birthday yesterday but we couldn't go out as I had to do my jab at 9.30pm. We had a chinese take away and I am drinking water by the gallon.

I am having to take Climaval now to keep my levels from dropping now

Slight problem - DH's daughter is coming this weekend and as we have to be at the hospital at 7am on Sat it's going to be a problem. We tried changing it but eveil ex  said she was busy and now we have had to get her to go to DH's parents for Friday night and most of Saturday. We haven't given any excuses yet but they will all want to know what we are doing from early Saturday to late afternoon. She is 12 and doesn't get fobbed off easily and his parents will want some kind of reason. I thought we could say that I am having tests on my liver in London as I have had problems in the past and we are having them before my consultant will let me do another treatment. That should keep them off the scent of whether we are doing a treatment now but it's going to be dodgy as they speak to my parents and will say to them about me having tests and my Mum wont know what is going on and be upset that I haven't told her etc, etc. I knew not telling the parents and inlaws about this treatment would bite me in the bum at one point. Oh well we shall see what happens.

Thanks for all your support everyone.

So close now. I agree with the fibs and stories but you are trying to save their feelings.

Horray :D

You sound just like me, inventing little white lies to cover up tmt - sometimes its the only way - I think its a self protection thingy - no family no about our tmt, I have told the girls I work with, I tell them everything and couldn't keep inventing different excuses without them getting worried that something was seriously wrong. We haven't told our family as with the very best of intentions they would keep wanting an update, would all have their own ideas of what the outcome would be etc etc. If I could have I would have kept it a secret from the whole world, so much easier if it doesn't work then you don't have to un-tell people.

Will be thinking of you tomorrow, is it ET on Monday?

Hope all goes well
Thanks for your support
