Cycling In 2012 Board (formerly Fall/Winter 2011-2012)

Maria- I've been on the Lovenox injections. I took them for over a year when I was ttc with my first husband. I have a history of positive lupus anticoagulant which is another of the clotting disorders. The shots aren't bad. It's once per day and the amount is based on your body weight. I'm glad they found something. Many women with various clotting disorders have gone on to have healthy pregnancies once on treatment. One of my good friends has a sister and mother with Factor V. She does not test positive for it but had 4 m/c before going on Lovenox. She now has a lovely little girl born this year.

Alright, my husband is shooing me off to bed. My neurologist gave me some new meds to help me with all this stress, headaches, and flare ups. Got me some Xanax. I hopefully should sleep tonight! It's only half of what I'm used to taking so who knows. Considering I have a headache now, I'm not too hopeful. Somehow they missed getting my vicodin called in so I have to go back for it tomorrow.

I called my IVF nurse about my test results and she said she hasn't seen them come thru yet. She is supposed to be looking into it. I hope to know something soon.

Maria- How is your son doing? I pray for him daily and he's been on my mind a lot. Continued prayers for all of you.

I'm glad you got some answers and can get something to help with that! Sometimes I feel like getting test for my whole body! There are just so many things you never know until there is a problem. Praying that 2012 brings us lots of good news on the boards!

Gina-thank you so much for asking about my DS and for keeping him in your prayers. It means so much to me. He is doing rather well for a child who just lost his father. It's amazing how children bounce back from tragedy and adversity. I ask him all the time how he is doing but he really hasn't wanted to talk about it but I want to make sure I give him the opportunity to talk whenever he wants to. He has continued to go on with his daily activities and play, gobto basketball practice, and make jokes with my DH. It wires me but maybe I'm just overanalyzing it. Thank toy so much again for all of your continued prayers.

So I have an u/s in a couple hours and I will find out if my lining if ok or if this is going to get canceled again! UGH! I need a 7.5! I am not feeling very optimistic. We did have another birthmom contact us about an adoption but she is young and unsure and that is the same place we were in a couple months ago when the last one changed her mind....but I am a little hopeful that something is going on in case my lining is shitty today. I also had a friend offer to be a surrogate. But I would have to talk my clinic into using donated embryos in a surrogate. I don't know if this is something they would do or not and it would have to wait a year because she is pregnant with her third right now due in April. But I would consider it, she is a very close co worker and DH and her husband run a business together. She is very healthy it is amazing how many people have offered this to me, I do feel blessed for that, but she is one that I might actually consider.

Amanda, that's good news that the bill was passed in Ga, I know it's a act of congress to get it passed down here, but will be so worth it. My previous home was in GA and I have a very close friend who is president of the Floyd County Women's Republican Party. I bet she knows John Lewis and may email her to ask if she can help us down here.

Leora, I laughed so hard at the holy duck. That was the main highlight of my week!

AFM: Just ordered dh's Christmas gift, he will be so surprised too since he loves comedians...Jerry Seinfield is coming to Panama City on Feb. 10th and I got him tickets! I wanted to tell him so bad last night, but kept the biggest secret! Well I'm off to make some chocolate covered pretzels for work. Christmas party on Sunday and I LOVE making gifts with homemade candy every year, so lets get our recipe swap on! Anybody have a old fashioned recipe for roady road?

so I am still laying on the table at the clinic. We just finished the transfer about 15 minute or so ago. We decided to transfer 3- 1 10a, 2 8b. They will be culturing the 8a and 4b and let us know if they will become frosties in the next few days. The RE said everything looked perfect today. We are so hopeful and praying that this cycle will bring us our healthy, full term babies and it would be a bonus to have some frosties for future sibling use I will post later.
