So...I have been missing for awhile. Just trying to heal from the two loses back to back. Was having a bad week this week and today I get a phone call from the clinic. They had a quality issue in the lab that started before my retriveal through the end of August. They are not sure if this quality issue compromised the eggs. So...they are giving us a cycle for FREE, all meds and everything included. I AM SO PISSED I CAN"T SEE STRAIGHT! I just don't think this will make up for all the pain and suffering we have had to endure. I am grateful they were honest, but DAMN IT I AM PISSED! We have 17 at proneculear stage and 2 blasto's frozen. Are they good or are they bad? If we do the free cycle and nothing I am out all these eggs, that might be bad anyway. Then we would have to pay for any future FET's. What are all your thoughts on this? I am pissed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My DH is more angry than I. He wants to get an attorney. What will that help but cause more issues and not give us a baby!

Wow, akdelp, I am so sorry. That's unheard of. Although who knows maybe our labs had issues too and just never told us. I say you take the free cycle and make new embryos.

Ninde- Thanks for the advice. I was thinking that too. She could do what she wanted because it was hers. I think it would be easier if she sold it for at least closer to the cost or because she'd had it a while but since it was for quick cash for her BF for alcohol/drugs etc.. hurts worse. If they would have told us, we would have just paid the full cost and took it back. We have learned our lesson though and will never spend that much on her again. I still prob won't except her fb. She talks to trashy for me and she'll delete me at some point anyway. We've been hurt by her many times and used. We'll see how she does over time but it will take a good while.


Blue- Long story short. Dh and I as well as my parents have done lots for my Niece over the years, only to be hurt by her over and over and used. We gave her a coach purse over $200 because she was doing better and so forth. Well she let her bf sell it for $85. She said lots of mean things while denying it but she told be after I asked her. DH won't be as forgiving. She had other choices she could have made.....let someone know! She wasn't with him 24/7. We would have bought it back. It was a gift but it still hurts, esp selling it for some quick money.

I've learned my lesson. It won't happen again that's for sure.

On the facebook subject. I do have one I use that I don't really talk about IVF, but I do have a fundraiser I made that I will post on it. That's it though. I have to do that so I can try and get my goal if someone wants to help. I don't think anyone really will but I can try! I also have my Scentsy on there for IVF funds but that's a separate invite to join.

Lyd - Yes, we did doxycycline also. Make sure you eat something with it unless you have an iron stomach

Bodie-thank you so much for asking. my sin is doing as well as can be expected after the loss of his father. He hasn't wanted to talk about whay happened which scares me a bit. I told him the other day that it's good to talk about your feelings and he told me that he knew this but still didn't want to talk about it. I know this is gojn to be very hard and the holidays and his up coming birthday are going to be hard. I would give up anything even my own life to take his pain away.

I am glad you are doing well. Praying that everything continues to go well for you.

Barbara - did you have yours already? Mine will be Monday morning at 7:30am (12:30am - right after midnight on Sunday night for pple on the East Coast!) But don't stay up late to stalk - I probably won't be able to update until I get to work an hour after that! I'll be only 5w3d pregnant -- too early for a heartbeat, but this is how they check that things are progressing well (instead of repeat betas). Hoping for a great gestational sac and maybe a yolk sac! (and been having nightmares about twins....)

(rest of the personals tomorrow morning when I'm bored at work! I'll be at my desk in about 12 hours - ugh. Weekend's pretty much over!)

Leora: I did have mine... Saw one gestational sac with a yolk sac! Next one is on Dec 16. I too was paranoid about twins and was greatly relieved to see a single show up on the screen. Best wishes... I'll be thinking of you and stalking for your great report!

Leora - what were your betas with your twins in the past? My betas were super high, at 11 dpo I was 725, so if that is any indicator, hopefully its just a singleton for you!

AK - wow, what a huge shock that must have been. If that had happened to me, i'd be investigating exactly what the quality issue was. IVF clinics should have stringent processes in place to avoid quality issues and they should be regularly audited to show that these processes are being followed. If my investigations left me with some doubt about the clinics ability to follow their own processes (or that they have a lack of them), then I'd be taking the freebie cycle and if it results in a neg, high tailing it to another clinic.

Jayne - yes donor egg vs own eggs. Such a dilemma. I keep thinking that if I don't to another cycle, I'll constantly think abouit what could have been. Although a baby is what I really want, it having 50% of my genetics is really quite special. Then again, i really couldn't bear to go through another cycle with my old eggs producing dud embryos.

Ninde - Bailey is a very handsome boy. My pug's best dog buddy is a retriever who we nickname 'foofus'.

AFM - kicking back in my dressing gown on a Sunday morning. On Saturdays I volunteer at the local horseriding for disabled club. I love it. I'm doing an archery course in the afternoon. My DH is really into it and finally convinced me to become involved. Today it's going to be a bit of housework and round to friends for lunch. These friends have a 1 yr old son from IVF.
